Adia looked over at Santos in alarm as the contraction subsided and she was only panting now. "Nothing! I'm alright. It's just the pups. I think they've had enough of the inside of me." She replied as she tried to find a comfy spot at the back of the den placing her back against the dirt wall to await the next contraction. She wasn't sure how long it would take from here but she knew leaving this den now was an extremely bad idea.

Santos's eyes widened. "Right now?!" He almost shouted from the excitement, but decided it was best to not scare Adia out of her wits. Santos was able to move himself into the den, still allowing enough room for Adia and the pups, and nuzzled her. "I'll stay right here with you, if you'd like." He smiled.

Adia smiled as Santos moved into the den with her. His presense would no doubt keep her much calmer and she would need it. "Please would you." She replied stretching out her neck to reach him. She so needed his touch.

"I would stay 'til the end of the world for you." He layed head chin on her head and smiled, ready to wait out however long it would take. It would all be worth it in the end. Hell, it was worth it now just to be with her.

Adia sighed deeply as she got comfortable with Santos and took each contraction with as best stride as she could. It was far into night before things progressed beyond the contractions. Adia felt the internal urge to push and she did for a good ten minutes before the first pup plopped out onto the ground. It was a boy with a body as white as his fathers and with stripes just like his mother. He was quiet until Adia pulled him to her and began to clean him. This got the first cry of pup out and there was no way it would be the last. Adia worked quickly to clean him and set him to nursing once she was done. "One out..." Adia said with a sweet smile before she cringed and tensed. "More still to come..."

Santos did his best to keep awake the whole time, comfortable with the silences, and the little words whispered. It wasn't until adia started pushing that he tensed. He watched as a little boy was delivered and once he was cleaned up and nursing Santos lowered his head to nuzzle the little boy, who squirmed and yipped softly, not daring to stop his nursing.
"One beautiful little boy. Maybe a little girl next?" He grinned, a bit hopeful. He'd like to have a nice family, little girls to balance out the rowdy boys.

"Perhaps..." Adia said through clenched teeth. It seemed with the first one out that the next one would come much quicker. Adia didn't wait long till she started to push again and a few minutes later another pup plopped out onto the ground. This one a girl as dark a red as her mother and with her fathers rose to complete her darling design. Once free the little girl let out a cry. Adia smiled at her and pulled her about to give her a nice cleaning and then set her next to her brother to nurse.
"Such darlings..." She commented another strong contraction hitting her. In her now tired state Adia managed only one good and powerful push that sent the very last of her cubs onto the ground. Another girl, this one was much smaller than her two siblings and her color was neither her mother or father but a mix of the two coming out as a light pink with dark red leopard spots on her legs. She cried but her cries were much quieter as though her vocal cords were not strong enough to get any louder. Pulling the little girl to her Adia cleaned her off and set her with her two siblings. Admiring them for a bit Adia soon laid her head down between her paws and sighed. She was exhausted and sleep was sounding extremely tempting.

It seemed someone had heard Santos's words, and in return had given him two gorgeous daughters. He licked both girl's foreheads, noticing the pink one's small size compared to the other two, but pushed it aside. "They're simply gorgeous, Adia, just like you." He smiled and licked her nose. "Rest, and in the morning, naming time!" He grinned, laying his head by hers.
