"I guess that explains your rudeness." Kazu replied to her, he was going to say whatever after what she had said before but he had a feeling she had not finished. "And, I don't know what you mean by 'making it better'." Kazu said shortly after a small pause. This was the most he had spoken in what was most likely years or a lifetime by now, the girl kept dragging things out as if she had nothing better to do with her life. "Don't you have anything better to do?" Kazu asked stopping and looking back at her.

"Yeah, maybe it does," Kira replied with a shrug. "But at least I'm trying to be more social. And what I meant was, since I'm not really a "person", and you said you'd given up on people, you should try giving me a chance. Even just a small one, ok?" He seemed to be talking a little more, she noticed.
She blinked at his next question, and then grinned, baring her fangs. "Nope." What could she really do with a messed up ankle? She probably shouldn't be following him around like this, now that she thought about it, but she hoped he wouldn't mention it.

"Thats not a good enough reason to give you a "chance", you already ruined it earlier, and luckily for you I'm not that heartless." Kazu said with no tone change in his voice at all, just the same pitch as "whatever" and nearly everything else he said. He shrugged it off and started walking up the stairs, every now and then the small metal plaque on the bottom of his boot clanged against the corner of the step as he went.
"If your that determined to win me over with your pathetic, being or whatever you've been doing today," Kazu said stopping half way. "Ill give you a chance, if you make it up to the roof of this building on your own." He finished, thinking that she would not last that long in her state, and with the crutches. It did sound like a good plan, guessing that she would most likely fail.

Kira frowned lightly, looking up at him. She would've replied, mentioning the "three strikes, you're out" rule and that she'd only had one, when he continued on with his talking. She stopped herself from getting angry at his calling her pathetic, because she heard the offer he made. Her eyes shifted to the stairs and she stopped at the base, peering up them. They seemed really... long. "...how many floors is that?" she blinked, but then her uncertain expression shifted into determination. "Though, it doesn't matter," she quickly added. "Because I'll definitely make it, no matter how many there are." She hesitated, took a deep breath, then swung forward with the crutches so both feet were on the bottom step. Then the crutches settled beside them, and she repeated the motion, feet up on the second step now. And she kept doing this, moving slowly but surely upwards.

Kazu leaned against the wall and watched her, he would soon follow her after she was quite a while away from him. He did not walk that fast to begin with. "We will see, how many there are, that is.if you make it." Kazu said after her, and trailed with his yellow eyes in her directing after his words. He started moving around his lip rings again with his tongue as he watched her and surely started walking after her when she was quite a while ahead.

Kira glanced at Kazu once, and then focused only upon getting herself up these stupid stairs. "I will," she muttered quietly. "I will m-make it." She was moving at a steady pace for now, her ears flattened back against her head and her tail curled spiraling down her right leg. The crutches were uncomfortably in place under her arms, her hands clutching them much too tightly, leaving obvious indents in the rubber gripping.
Being part demon, she had naturally high stamina, so she was confident she could make it. But even so, she was injured and that definitely played a part in her ability. The truth was, she hadn't fully recovered from her little indicident of getting lost in the woods. Hopefully she'd recovered enough.. She really, really wanted to show that she could make it. She wasn't sure if she just wanted to prove him wrong, or if it was something else.

His yellow eyes remained unphased, he sure was an odd kid, but who wasn't at this school. Kazu followed her in his usual place and was hoping she would just give up soon and end this nonsense. But of course he blamed himself for saying what he did, it was his own fault. He cursed himself and continued walking, after a short time he grew bored and started to bend up a quarter that he held in front of him. It amused him a bit, but over time that got boring too. He made a smiley face out of the coin with a deformed head symbolizing being shot.

Kira didn't look at him. What if she got distracted and fell down? She had her head bowed to the stairs, watching each as her feet settled, then the crutches, before her feet swung up to the next stair. She had to admit, by the fourth floor she was out of breath, and had to pause on the landing before starting up the fifth, her back set against the wall as she stood on her good leg. It was starting to grow very tired though, since it had to support all of her weight on its own. She sighed, then finally cast Kazu a glance. "Are you having f-fun watching?" she frowned. "Or are you r-regretting it because you know I'll m-make it? And you can take back your p-promise." She still managed to sound confident, even though she was so out of breath.

"No, I'm surprized you've gone on as long as you have. I'm just getting bored and hope you just quit." Kazu said truthfully blinking once and shifting his eyes to her from their earlier position. "By the time you get up there, if you even get there its going to be dark." Kazu said shortly after and continued walking past her. "Come on, don't you want to prove me wrong?" He called out over his shoulder. A part of him did want her to make it, but he did not know why, she was the first person he had a somewhat lengthy conversation with, but other than that he had no idea. She probably would make it, for reasons of her own, or to just get more instances to bother him. Who knew, but he continued anyways, a promise was a promise.

"I never quit," Kira replied almost instantly. "Quitting's for w-wimps and cowards." She frowned, and slowly stood upright again, watching him head up the stairs and then quickly following. "I'm definitely g-gonna prove you wrong." And she started climbing again, the same way as before. Two feet, crutches, two feet, crutches... This repeated over and over as she climbed another flight of stairs, then another. But she was pretty much panting by now, ears somewhere between flattened back and drooping pathetically. Her tail was still spiraling tightly down her right leg. How much longer was it? She had to be close by now. She had to be!

Kazu smirked a bit, knowing she would not see it and headed up about three more flights of stairs noticing a large iron door. She was almost there, he himself had not even noticed how much time had gone by spending it following her up the steps to the roof. Now he went ahead and left her behind. She would most likely make it now, anyone would, and the part of him that did want her to get there came out more inside him.
Kazu stood in front oft he large iron door quietly not making a single sound. He was carefully taking apart the doorknob as quiet as possible, with his powers to control metal any way he saw fit. The door sprung open slowly without creaking and the door know flew through the sky off into the horizon. He had always wanted to do something like that. And so he waited for Kira.

Slowly, but still steadily, Kira advanced up the stairs she was rapidly starting to hate. Actually, she wasn't starting anymore. She hated them. Hated with a passion. She'd never use the stairs again. Elevators all the way! She let out a frustrated sigh, but when she looked up, her eyes widened. There was a door, already open, and through it she could see the sky. The sky! She stared for a few seconds, and then turned towards Kazu, looking pretty exhausted, yet smiling happily. "See? I made it!" She stumbled through the door, took three steps onto the roof, and collapsed onto the ground. "Haaaa..." she exhaled loudly, still panting as she set the crutches on the ground beside herself and slumped lazily forward.

Kazu made it down to the floor where his room was located and walked down the hall to his room. Silence was all around him as he walked and reached his door, silently opening it and walking in closing the door behind him. He took off his shirt and three it off to the side and sat on the bed taking off his bots. Kazu lay back on his bed after taking his boots off and turned on the tv, he leaned against the wall at the corner of his bed and held a pillow next to him as he watched. He usually fell asleep that way, hugging the pillow next to him as he slowly got tried after watching the tv for hours on end, his yellow eyes glared at the screen as he flipped around the channels looking for something exciting to watch.
He scratched his chest feeling the marks going across most of it, like a sort of abstract painting of lines on a human canvas. He had done this to himself, not really knowing why but it had taken away the pain he felt on the inside. Brining it out in red on the white marble of his previous homes residence. It was the only thing he felt was real to him, true to him, that it never changed. Only taking away the pain inside him that there was no cure for. Kazu lay there and watched the tv in silence as he rand his finger around the scars outlining them.

Kazu yawned and woke up to the random sounds of his television. He had fallen asleep with it on a he usually did, and he did have a good long sleep. One of the few he had. He sat up on his bed stretching out feeling a bit energetic than he usually did. Kazu looked at the television for a moment trying to figure out what he was watching and just gave up and went to the bathroom. He walked in his eyes basically searing off from the sunlight coming in from the window, most of his room was entirely dark, but the sun always hit directly in his bathroom window. He rubbed his eyes and yawned as he stared into the mirror and fixed his hair the way he liked it while his eyes adjusted to the light. He felt a bit cold, probably due to the fact he was half naked, other than that he felt unusual, a bit happier or some feeling such as that.
He headed back and searched through the closet for his pants and shirt, most of the others where all over the room like something exploded or he had someone spend the night.(haha wink wink) Kazu put on a torn up black shirt that had random kanji all over it and some torn up jeans that went along with it. He grabbed his boots and hopped around the room in a comical motion trying to get them on before going out the door and down the hall.

Kira was finally returning from yet again getting lost in the woods. This time she hadn't twisted her ankle or anything. No, that injury was nearly healed. This time she'd met up with some weird looking guy who kept insisting everyone was hunting him. She was watching the ground as she walked, dressed in a pair of black cargo pants and a sweatshirt, hands stuffed in her pockets. She had a pair of headphones over her human ears, but only one cat ear was currenly upon her head. The other seemed to have vanished, for now. Her tail was still beind her though.
So when she looked up and saw Kazu there, the first thing she did was freeze, the second was to clamp a hand over the one ear, and the third was to stare for a few seconds before speaking. "...where have you been?" she asked after a pause, her tone a mixture of irritation and curiosity.
