Nod all the way, as far as I'm concerned. :3
When I was learning to play, I was using GDI on automatch all of the time because I had played their campaigns but not Nod's yet (and thus, wasn't very familiar with Nod). Now that I've finished Nod's campaigns too, I've started playing Nod on automatch all of the time and I love it.
They ARE trickier to play, that's for sure. GDI are more straightforward... overpower the enemy quickly. Nod needs to use a bit more strategy... I think about 90% of my automatch opponents play GDI and do the mass tank "rush" technique... now that I'm a lot better at countering it, it gets really boring... I've also heard a lot of players say that GDI is overpowered. I don't know if they're overpowered so much as people aren't as good at using sneakier Nod...

GDI has always been slightly overpowered, even in Renegade. look at it this way:
GDI has a more effective tank force, while NOD is more soldier-oriented
now which is more powerful? a teeny lil' person? or a battle tank?
that's how I see it

guess you haven't played C&C 3 then. NOD gets a giant robot known as the "Avatar Warmech" that can upgrade itself by destroying certain friendly units.

Well, the Avatar actually may be powerful, but if you have enough time online to get one of those little f**kers, you obviously aren't playing anyone that good...On skirmish, though, it's pretty cool. Also, KRaZy Ammo, you can change it when you go to start a New Campaign, it gives you the options of what difficulty you want on it...

Mammoth tanks are gay! They are way too powerful for their cost and build time.
