Kashin's eyes went wide seeing that these genin were abit brighter then when he was one. He tried to jump back and was successful except for a tiny cut Shuji was able to plant on Kashin. "Well...." Kashin made a quick series of hand signs. "Soshi Katana no Jutsu! Aisu!" A blade of ice grew on his arm and he smirked. "On guard then..."

Shuji eyed up the ice blade that Kashin had created, and nodded a bit. He was able to control water and earth, which wasn't a big deal. Shuji was an earth user as well, so it seemed he might be able to learn a little bit from Kashin throughout the course of this fight. He was too close to Kashin at the moment, but he figured that eventually it would come to taijutsu. It wasn't Shuji's biggest strength, but at the same time, he wasn't sure if it was Kashin's strength either.

Lowering himself into a comfortable combat stance, he made a few hand seals and waited to see what Kashin was going to do. He was more than ready at this point. Well, we'll just have to see how this all pans out. I don't imagine he'll kill me, but I don't want to take any chances just yet, he thought as he waited for Kashin to make the next move.

Kashin smiled and made another series of hand signs. "Soshi Heki no Jutsu! Kaze!" Kashin shot out a gust of wind which in turn should launch Shuji towards the wall of the arena since they were so close.

The gust of wind picked Shuji up, and shot him at the wall. However, the moment his body hit the wall, it was not him that had collided with it, it was a pile of rocks. Shuji had prepared the replacement jutsu when he was standing next to Kashin for a reason. He couldn't believe that a Jounin could be so easily deceived by the most basic of jutsus. He had placed himself underground with the technique, and was now making a quick plan as to what to do next.

Some laughter could be heard as he formed the hand seals needed for the next technique. Kashin had the chakra levels of a jounin, so he could afford to blast Shuji with jutsus all day. Shuji on the other hand, was only a genin, and thus had been sticking to the basics so far. They seemed to be working. Now, however, it was time to get serious. As he made the seals, there was a puff of smoke from his current location. When the puff of smoke cleared, there were three Shuji's standing in front of Kashin. One was holding a kunai while the others were in a comfortable taijutsu stance. "Let's do this," they all said at the same time. Still underground, Shuji moved himself somewhere else. He didn't want to fall prey to Kashin's earth wall again. He had been bounced of it once. If it got him while he wasn't looking, he'd never be able to dodge it.

((Now before you accuse me of cheating or of never being hit, please read my previous post. I clearly put that I was making hand seals, and the replacement jutsu doesn't require it's name being called out in order to be used. I'm not saying that you'll accuse me of anything, but I know that you're yet to land a hit on me. Just trying to be fair.))

Kashin smiled looking at the three Shuji's. "Oh so much fun..." He smirked and melted into the ground with ease after a few hand signs. As he was underground he performed a series of hand signs. His voice could be heard being yelled out. "Soshi Heki no Jutsu! Kaji!" The ground beneath the Shujis Broke apart and a massive sized fireball shot up out of the ground.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 15, 2007 6:56 pm

The three Shuji's were engulfed in flame, and quickly crumbled to the ground in piles of earth. The real Shuji, hiding safely underground, was starting to think of what to do next. He didn't know if the Keikoku Kashou would work on Kashin, not to mention that he wasn't sure where Kashin was. As he pondered this for a moment, he came up with another idea. He still needed to keep chakra consumption to a minimum, so right now using the Keikoku Kashou wasn't an option. Hmm...,he thought as he started to make the hand seals. It would seem that Kashin-sensei might be on to my game.

As his chakra was focused, there was a puff of smoke the would obviously lead Kashin to his location. Above ground, there were now standing five copies of Shuji. Quickly moving from his position, he made his way above ground, and blended himself in with the clones for a moment. He wasn't done yet though, as he reached into his weapons pouch, and grabbed five kunai. This had been how he had identified himself as the real Shuji before. Giving a kunai to each of his clones, he then dove back underground, moving away from the clones, but being sure to avoid the spot where he had been before.

The clones, being a part of Shuji, all knew what to do. They started to run along the arena, each getting into position. When they were in place, a line could be drawn to each of them to make a five point star. As they each held a kunai, they started to do something that was unusual, probably even by the standards of all Shinobi. As they stood there in position, they started to sing a simple little melody. It didn't have words so much as it seemed to follow a major C-scale. On occasion, they would break everything apart and make simple triad chords, following them up with arpeggios. Shuji smiled a little as they did this. It seemed that they really did know what to do.

Kashin was abit confused by the singing but just sighed forming hand signs. "Soshi Nami no Jutsu! Daichi!" Stone spikes shot out of the ground surrounding Kashin. The Spike shot up and pulled back down in a motion of a wave. If anything was underground when this jutsu occurred wouldn't be hurt but instead would be shot into the air.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 15, 2007 8:11 pm

The jutsu was unexpected by Shuji. He was shot into the air, but he still didn't lose hope. This actually gave him a good amount of distance over Kashin now. He had left the clones alone, which meant that it was finally time to put the plan into motion. As he soared through the air, he took a moment to shake his head clear. He could easily take advantage of this situation, but first he needed to make sure that everything was in order. Being in the air gave him a great birds eye view of what was happening below him.

The clones were still in position, but as they noticed Shuji in the air, it seemed they all knew what to do. They started to move their positions around, the song never ending. In fact, it seemed to be gaining in volume. They were still in the five pointed star formation, but they just continued to periodically move themselves around. Shuji smiled as they did this. It was like a little army of him that knew exactly what he would have been doing at a time like this. It warmed his heart to see them doing it so well.

By this time, Shuji had started to fall back toward the floor of the arena, which meant he only had one chance to pull this off before he'd have to make a new plan. Kashin had really only done what Shuji had planned on doing only moments before. By gaining some high ground, he'd be able to initiate the jutsu and hopefully be away enough that Kashin wouldn't know what to do until it was too late. Falling back toward the ground, he started the series of hand seals, and prepared the technique. He did this by singing in the same manner as the clones were. He knew that once this was done, he'd need to take a soldier pill, or he'd be finished. He was hoping to put enough chakra into this technique that it might be able to move on to the next level.

As the song was sung, there was only one phrase that was actual words, and it was placed into the son with such precision that unless Kashin was actively listening to the words, it was very possible that he would miss it. "Keikoku Kashou (Siren's Song)," were the words that were carefully placed into the song. The song actually started to fill with chakra, but unless Kashin could see the flow of chakra, it wouldn't matter. This was his one shot to take Kashin out in a peaceful manner. He didn't want to have no choice but to threaten another member of his village. He didn't like having to fight a Jounin that wasn't his true enemy. All he wanted was to move on and become a Chuunin. Then he'd be able to take a group with him to the Sound Village so he could remove all dishonor from his family's name.

I'm sorry, Kashin-sensei. I really hope this works, because if it doesn't, I'm afraid that I won't be able to give you the best fight possible, in order to make your job here today truly worth your time and effort. His thoughts were racing as he made the final adjustments to the jutsu and came down toward the earth. He hoped that a clone would be able to catch him before he crashed, because right now a safe landing wasn't in the works.

Thankfully for, Kashin's sake, He was trying to listen to the song. Even though he did not hear the actually words he noticed another voice come in from a distance. "There!" Kashin turned toward the falling Shuji. "Soshi Heki no Jutsu! Kaji!!" This time Kashin unleashed four fire balls that would intercept Shuji as he fell. Kashin then strted a series of hnd signs instantly after the jutsu performing the wave jutsu once more this time to be close enough to wipe out the five clones.
PostPosted: Fri Mar 16, 2007 9:26 am

There was nothing that Shuji could do about the fireballs. He tried his best to move out of the way, but they hit him full on. He could feel his skin burning as the fireballs pounded him, but he still kept his focus. Assuming that Kashin had done nothing to block out the song, the genjutsu that Shuji had started would start to take hold. Knowing this, Shuji wasn't too overly concerned with his current state. He was starting to enjoy it even more now.

His clones were doing more than just standing around, as they continued to move around. The wave that was produced by the spikes would wipe them out, but they were going to prolong it for as long as possible. They couldn't jump off the earth, so it wouldn't matter after too long. They all crumbled to the ground as the wave knocked each of them up into the air.

Shuji was starting to fall back toward the ground again, and this time Shuji was concerned about his landing. He wasn't worried about Kashin, because unless Kashin had plugged his ears during the course of the song, the Genjutsu had already worked it's way into Kashin's subconscious. Shuji was almost drained at this point, and now that he was burned, it wasn't going to help much.

By this time, Kashin would probably notice that he was seeing the object of his heart's desire. It didn't matter what it was, for everything was an illusion after all. Kashin would feel the need to get close to his heart's desire in any way possible. What he wouldn't realize was that he was actually being drawn to Shuji. It was like the Greek myths that told of the Siren's and their irresistible song that would draw unwary sailors toward the rocks. This genjutsu had the same effect, but with an added bonus.

Shuji, having concentrated so much chakra into the genjutsu, was able to life it to the next level. Again, unless Kashin had plugged his ears or worn ear plugs, the genjutsu would start to unlock some of his nerve endings. Though Shuji was unaware of where they were, he could find them with an area attack. Fortunately, Shuji had just an attack up his sleeve. He had learned a method from Aurara, and it was almost time to put that into motion.

Kashin saw somethings that made no sense to him. He saw Suzumi on his playing field and alo Nekage at the same time. It was pretty obvious why Suzumi was there but the reason for Nekage is because he is the one that Kashin wants to defeat before he becomes unable to battle. Kashin being a jounin knew better though. Suzumi and Nekage neither would be in the arena. "Kai!" The illusion dispersed. "Thats a nice trick but you have to know your opponent abit better to use a jutsu like that.... You also must take into account where they are.... like for example there is no way Suzumi would be here...." Kashin smirked looking at Shuji. "I must say though I am impressed at your skill as a genin..."

Shuji landed on the ground in front of Kashin-sensei. He was burned from the fireballs that Kashin had launched at him, and he was running low on chakra. There was the vial that Rob had given him, and he could take a soldier pill, but would it really be worth it to take either of those at this point? He didn't have Kashin in any kind of state that was beyond a healthy and normal condition. Shuji hadn't really hit him that much. At the very least he wanted to make his teammates jobs a little easier. So he wasn't going to be a Chuunin this time around. He'd just have to get stronger, and he'd do so by training with Kashin.

Stretching out, he ignored the pain from the burns and lowered himself into a comfortable taijutsu stance. He had enough chakra to function, he might be able to pull of some jutsus if needed, but right now he needed to conserve it and give everything he had into just fighting Kashin. Unfortunately, he wasn't too sure if Kashin-sensei felt the same way.

"Let's do this then. You said you wouldn't hold back, so let's finish this." His voice still contained that level of excitement that it had from the beginning. Focusing his mind, he only saw Kashin, his target. He pushed the idea of defeat from his mind as he started to run at Kashin, making a few hand seals.

Kashin looked at Shuji and knew it was only going to be ninjutsu and taijutsu from this point. "Thats right I won't hold back but don't do anything that you'll regret.."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 17, 2007 1:39 pm

As Shuji charged at Kashin, he smiled. "Fighting you, there really isn't much I have to regret. If I were fighting someone I knew I actually stood a chance with, I never would have used that Genjutsu. Uses too much chakra at this point. However, you might not be under an illusion, but that doesn't mean that somewhere on you, the nerves are amplified and waiting to be hit." He was still making hand seals as he jumped up into the air, and spun, bringing his heel toward Kashin's face.

Kashin grabbed Shuji's ankle and then punched Shuji's Knee which would cause it to shatter.
