Book Babe I think that one of my favorite authors is V.C. Andrews, although most of her work was written by a male. She died before she finished her second series. I have read everything except for her newest book. I own almost all of her books. My mom read her work as a kid, and really enjoyed it. One day I asked her what I should read next and she told me "Flowers In The Attic". Its got to be one of the best books I've ever read. I've read it at leat five times, and will probably read it more than that. I love "Flowers in the Attic", it was so...interesting, for lack of a better term. I also have the movie however like most books gone to movies it went horribly wrong. Have you seen the movie? You know, I can't believe I forgot to put Margaret Atwood. I'm so glad someone else mentioned her. "A Handmaid's Tale" was absolutely brilliant. However I hear that you either hate her or love her...

Enduring favorite: Jane Austen. Lots of readability and everyone acts within their character, and it all builds up to extraordinary events. I especially like the misbehaving mama and the younger sisters of Pride and Prejudice. Elizabeth and Jane were so perfect - what was left but for the younger daughters to act up?
Austen died of what they think was porphyry - treatable today, but fatal then. "Mad" King George had it too. One symptom is that it turns urine purple - hence porphyry (purple).

Cornelia Funke. Why? She wrote my most 3 favorite books. Dragon rider, InkHeart, and Inkspell. They were long, and Im still working on Inkspell, but they were very inspiring, descriptive, and they had alot of uncommonly used words. It made me feel as if I was actually there. With descriptions and very few pictures, It made my imagination run wild just to read it. Wonderful books.

Nothing good about it. It actually had some really good actors in it, but you can't act a screenplay that was badly written... unfortunetly....

I feel bad for the screen writer. I wonder how many jobs he got afterwards if the director knew of VC Andrews.

This will sound strange but did you see the movie they made on Jean Auel's Clan of the Cave Bear starring Darryl Hanna?

Its such a rough book to read I didn't want to watch the whole thing. That was years ago. I've been wanting to reread the book, and watch the movie.

My favorite author is definitely my idol and hero, Stephenie Meyer. She wrote the most amazing, sweet, adorable book in the world. It's called Twilight, and nothing will ever beat it, not even it's sequel, New Moon, which I've also read. I'm going to be a writer, and Miss Meyer is an inspiration to me and alot of other writers I've met in the two Twilight Guilds I belong to. I recommend it to anyone and everyone! And, get this, it was her debut book! I also love the manga-ka Hiromu Arakawa, the genius who created the amazing world of FullMetal Alchemist. She is really amazing, both of them are.

They did a fairly good adaptation to the book especially since hardly any words were used in the movie. @ Shukaka: I'll definetly try to check out Twilight.
