Charles II was bitterly defeated by Cromwell's army at the Battle of Worcester in 1651. After this loss, he fled to France.

France was taken over by Nazi Germany during World War II, but was later freed by The Allies.

Jaimai40 France was taken over by Nazi Germany during World War II, but was later freed by The Allies. Canada bought 3 used WWII submarines off of Britain, one of which had a dent in it that affected pressure.

Amphibious WWII vechicles are used by tour companies throughout the United States, including Boston where they have a fleet of 19 "ducks." The words "Kilroy was here" are painted on the ducks, because a man who counted rivets used to sign his rows that to make sure the workers didn't try to cheat and resubmit rivets, so the soldiers, seeing this on their vechicles, took to graffetting it in Europe.

After the fall of the Roman Empire, all of Europe went through the dark ages, where plagues, poor sanitation, and ignorance were everywhere. It was then that the crusades happened - Christian armies marching off to Palastine to conquer Jeruselum(sp?). In 1099, the crusaders captured it, and it was this indignity that sparked Saladin, a muslim leader that united the warring middle eastern tribes to drive out the Christians, which, more or less, he succeded in.

During the Crusades, the order of the Knghts Templar was founded with the rumored treasure of King Solomon. Their original purpose was to guide pilgrims to Jerusalem.

When the Jews tried to revolt against Rome, the Romans responded by destroying Jerusalem and killing as many as a million Jews, the greatest destruction prior to the Holocaust.

Over six million Jews were killed during the Holocaust, but few people realize that communist leader Josef Stalin murdered nearly twenty million of his own people during the same time period.

While Wilson and french, and british leaders were finishing the war and negorioting treaties, the new communist Bolshevik goverment in Russia, which beleived in communism, was fighting a civil war against opponesnts that would last into the early 1920's.

When Russian nobles tried to assasinate/murder Rasputin, they had to poison, shoot, and finally drown him before he actually died.
