*rubs his chin* Well, I lost my virginity not too long ago (perhaps a year or two) and I'm 18 right now... I certainly don't think that there's anything wrong with people being a virgin throughout high school. In fact, it's quite a feat nowadays. Most people just kick up their heels and lose it at unnecessarily young ages (11-14), so to still be a virgin even at 17 is pretty much a miracle by American standards. There's nothing wrong with -not- being a virgin either, I should point out.

11-14? That sounds like a serious hyperbolization I've never heard of anyone losing it that early. I lost mine when I was 16 or 17ish, but the youngest I have ever heard of someone losing their virginity was 15. ( by nonincest or rape standards, unless you were talking about incest or rape in the first place, but i didn think of MOST PEOPLE as you said of losing it that way.)

I say "most people" based off of my experiences. I live in the Bible Belt of Texas and while everyone will rip your throat out for being gay, they don't give a two bits about their kids screwing around with one another. Teen pregnancy nowadays is ridiculous (not that there's anything wrong with teenagers getting pregnant; I refer to it in a "the population is getting rather big ANYWAY" fashion) and if there are 16 year old girls with 2 to 3 kids, it's usually not because they had triplets. I was a student teacher at the Junior High in my home town and almost all of the students were constantly whispering to one another about their doings the night before or at "the party so-and-so held."

I must say, though, if you've never heard of anyone 14 or younger having sex outside of incest or rape, you're not very aware of the promiscuity of a lot of American teens and pre-teens.

As I said, I lost my virginity at a reasonable age and I didn't do it on a whim or under pressure. To lose one's virginity just because you're horny is rather silly. whee

lol then again though I suppose I do live in wisconsin and up here everyone just loses it 16 or 17ish. (but no one at my school can talk about it even if they have. I am a senior at a lutheran highschool and I would die a horrible death if the higher ups found out about that. Not to mention if they new about other things that make me different.)

I was a virgin until I met my husband. My intentions had been to wait until we were married, but we moved in together when I was 20 and I just knew someow it was right.

We were together for about three years before moving in, we'll have been married for three years this May and we've been together a total of seven years.

I'm not a virgin anymore but I kept it until I was 20 years old (2 years ago) and I was proud of it.

Although, I have to admit my beliefs were shook right before it.
I was dating someone but he would always pressure me to do stuff.
It was very confusing also because my god sister, who is older than me, said virginity was over-rated or something along those lines.

I was almost pressured into it before I was ready, but I held my ground and was very proud there after and realized that yes, virginity is still the most precious thing anyone could have. I broke up with him the next day.

My first time was with my best friend who is now my boyfriend of 2 years *is happy* whee
I did have fantasies of waiting till I was married. But hopefully he'll be that guy anyway. heart

I'm 17 (almost 1 cool and I'm still a virgin, and damned proud of it! XD I have a friends that's turning 20 this year who's still a virgin. Honestly it's not about being a loser or ugly, I don't think I'm that attractive and I've had offers >.> From people I didn't even like.

I know of people who were losing their virginity in Middle School. A lot of freshmen in high school do it because they think it's cool or they want to "grow up" or whatever. Sex isn't that important to me, yet.

I tried to have relations with my gf but she said it was too sudden O.o which is weird because she wanted it before I did XD I'll save explanations for PM's. I don't mind questions, I just don't want everything open for anyone to see.

I remained virgin 'til I reached 20 (I'm 28 now), but different from most here, I was forced remaining a virgin. Just to get the picture, it happened only 6 months after my first kiss ever. But that relationship ended soon and I spent 5 more years without it. I don't know about any of you, but I have my limits! 3nodding

I am still a virgin, I'm 16 and was heavily pressured when I was 13, maybe earlier. Now, I wasn't a well developed girl or incredibly attractive back then [I can only say quite attractive now though rofl ] and it was [thankfully] my knowledge of other people that saved me =/ I'm not American though, I'm Australian, we seem to have a lot of the country's values pressed onto us rofl

I wish to remain a virgin the rest of my life [if possible]. I am not a part of any religion, nor am I being forced. I just find that, considering I don't want children, that what's the point in sleeping with someone if there is almost ALWAYS going to be a huge chance of getting pregnant? [Yes, contraceptives can fail, even the most reccommended ones].

I like to do research, and I do think the Earth is SLIGHTLY a little too over-populated, but, that's my opinion ><;;

Lost mine when I was 17, it sucked, and I wished I had waited until I was older. Basically once he got some he dumped me.
