The two continued to move towards the figure, yet Octyx relaxed to a degree as he noted that the figure was female, as did Douglas. Dogulas even went to the point of letting go of the hilt of his sword, yet Octyx was not that careless. As they closed the distence, they both noted the girl's ears, which caused Douglas to blink. Octyx now finaly released the grip on his sword, having guessed that the girl would not have been of much hassle.. Douglas briefly glanced to Octyx than took a step forward and spoke as kindly as he could "Hello there, what are you doing out here all alone?" Octyx simply stood there silently and watched.

Her auds twitched once again as the two figures stopped in front of her, glancing downwards, thinking that she may have done something wrong. Or perhaps she was caught. However, when she heard the one speak so kindly, she glanced up again, looking them over for a moment with her crystal blue orbs. She could tell that the one was human, but the other seemed to surprise her. She had never seen someone who was grey unless it was fur. She paused for a moment, but remained quiet not sure what to say. Instead she just looked down, dejectedly. Most of the people she talked to were not kind to her at all, and if they were, they would soon turn on her.

Octyx tilted his skull abit as the girl looked over them, than looked to Douglas, who had a dumb founded look on his face which quickly faded. Douglas gently kneeled down on one knee, trying to avoid getting his uniform sandy. "Well, my name is Douglas, and this gray fellow is called Octyx?" he says, the kindness still evident. Octyx shot Doug a glare as his name was said, but was still silent. He turns around slightly in order to glance back to the city. There was a good chance that they were being watched from one of the guard towers. He coughes as a sign to Douglas to hurry up with the questons.

Mika kept her gaze downwards even as he spoke, not catching the glare or anything else. She was still surprised by the man's kindness, but even more so by the other's quietness. She thought for a moment, not sure if she should give the men her name. Though, she doubted they were in any way related to the forest creatures, especially since they appeared human for the most part. However, they may have already been warned of her existance. She nearly gained to courage to speak before a sound in one of the trees opposite the river caught her in the middle, causing one of her auds to perk. She glanced over in that direction, watching as a bird flew from it.

Douglas was abit puzzled by the girls quietness. To him, she appeared to be worse than Octyx for silence. Yet, when her auds perked and she glanced across the river, both of the men went into a more alert stance and looking to the same location as the girl was. Douglas quickly said "Its okay if you don't want to speak right now, but I say for our safety we should quickly move towards the city alright?" Octyx still said nothing, yet he agreed with Douglas' statement. If there was going to be a fight, they might be at a disadvantage with the girl being there.

She glanced back to the two after the one spoke, simply nodding softly. She hoped that once they made it clear to the city, she could easily get away from them. Mika was never too good at talking to people or being among others. For the most part, she feared getting them mixed up with her for their own safety. Her gaze fell back onto the tree again as she heard a rustle, noticing a figure spring free and back into the forest. A soft shiver went down her spine, "I.. should probably leave.." Her voice was very quiet and it seemed a bit worried.

Douglas had started to move back towards the city, not taking his gaze off of the river. His eyes narrow abit as he spots the thing jump out and back behind the tree lines, yet he stopped as the girl spoke, turning around instently and shakign his skull. "Come with us, it's much safer inside the city walls, those things havn't tried yet to break in and I'd like to see them try." he says, trying to reassure her, hoping that it would work. Octyx was starting to get abit fed up and looked to Douglas, than back to the girl. "Hurry the hell up and get going." he says abit crossly, frowning afterwards. He would most likely regret loosing his temper later and would probably apologize, yet at the time he found that it was extremely annoying on how the girl was acting. Douglas blinked as Octyx spoke, motioning quickly to the girl to follow him.

She blinked a bit as she heard Octyx speak. Though Douglas seemed quite nice, he seemed quite the opposite. His demeanor didn't surprise or bother her much, since she had often been confronted by people that acted in a similar manner to him. However, she still wasn't sure if she should go with them. Maybe she was wanted after all, but at the same time, she felt herself being a bother and thus she could easily be forgotten to them. She nodded once again and began to walk silently behind the two. Still, as she moved onwards, she still considered running.

Octyx frowns and quickly moved back towards the city as soon as the girl started walking. He was watching the opposite river side to make sure nothing would attempt to cross. Douglas moved along as well, thoguh he slowed abit so that he was closer to the girl and hopefully out of earshot from Octyx. He than silently whispers to her "Don't mind Octyx, even though he seems to be the total a** at times, he does have his moments when he is an extremly kind and nice guy. Just not when on duty.." he smiles softly to the girl, than resumes his former speed and also resumes watching the opposite side of the river. It wouldn't take very long before they reached the city's gate, where they would most likely be safe for the time being.

Sayuri looks at the Elder inpatiently. The Elder looks back "l-leave this place, go to the city, but before you go, take the bag that is in my house. It has medicine and weapons you might need along the way. Be safe my child" She stares at him scared and confused. "Please dont leave me, I have no one anymore!!" The Elder takes his last breath and falls limp. She slowly loosens her grip on his hand, and with her other hand goes over his eyes closing them, showing a symbol of letting go of the dead. A tear flows down her cheek, and she gets up, then runs to the house where the Elder used to live. "where is that bag?!?!" She finally spots it "oh found it!" She takes it and starts her journey to the city. (that was long phew)

Mika continued to look fowards, afraid to look anywhere else for the moment. She only looked towards Douglas when he spoke to her, but said nothing in reply. His words confused her greatly, not that everything else hadn't as well. She thought silently, 'Why is he apologizing.. does he not know what I am." She blinks, gently nodding just to be as polite as she could. Her orbs then picked up to look at Octyx for a moment, not really sure what to believe from that piece of information. She wished she had enough courage just to say that it didn't bother her, or she was used to it. But, she knew it was not her place to say. Sighing softly, she glances back over towards the river, briefly glancing at the trees and flicking her ears.

Octyx continued to walk on ahead, occasionly looking over his shoulder to check on the two behind him. His temper had settled, which was probably for the better. The group was closing in on the gate quite quickly. Octyx stops and waits for the other two to get ahead, giving a glance to Douglas in hope that he would catch on with what he was doing. Douglas nodded abit to signify that he knew what he was doing. He (Octyx) was facing the direction they had came from to make sure that nothing would cross or be able to catch them by surprize. As Douglas and Mika reached the gate, Douglas motioned for her to stop. After a few moments to be sure, Octyx quickly turned and moved quickly to the gate. Douglas looks to Octyx, who shook his skull, he had failed to spot anything out of the normal, besides the fact that he did see the thing looking at them from the opposite side of the river, yet it was abit far for him to be able to get a good look at it, yet he didn't say anything, as normal. Octyx than started to move towards the guard house, motioning for the two to follow. Douglas looked to the girl and spoke "Will you please come with us?" He than moved towards the guardhouse as well, looking back to her as he got to the door. Octyx had already entered the guardhouse without even looking back.

Continued to move towards the gate, following the directions given to her. Now knowing that they had no idea who she was, she might as well follow them for now. She never let her gaze waver from being in front of her and towards the grond for the rest of the way. She felt a bit awkward walking to the gate, as she hadn't seen anything so large in quite a while. Most of the villages she came across were rather small. When Douglas asked her to come, her auds dropped a bit, but she knew she didn't have much of a choice. She wasn't sure just how quickly she could run just yet and they didn't seem too dangerous. So, she walked towards where he motioned.

As Octyx entered the guard house, Orlando looked up from what he was doing, which was writing in his book, than stood and saluted him, which Octyx quickly returned. Orlando repeated the same thing, except for the looking up and standing part as he was already standing, and saluted Douglas as well, yet as the girl walked in, he instently noted the ears and reached for his sword, yet in a flash seemingly, both Douglas and Octyx had closed the distence and seemingly both smacked Orlando upside the head at the same instence, which caused the man to fall backwards in surprize, Douglas also abit surprized at Octyx's movements. "What the hell are you two doing bringing that back here? Don't you know what will happen??" Orlando says, anger apparently obvious, a scowl growing on his face. Orlando pulls himself back up as Douglas responds "We found her by the river and brought her back." Orlando's scowl instently faded, though his anger was still obvious. The reason why it had faded was that someone had walked in as well, the same man from before. Orlando quickly saluted the man, which caused both Octyx and Douglas to turn and take notice of the other guard, quickly saluting him as well. The guard returns the salute than looks at the girl. "So she is what was by the river?" he man inquires. Octyx and Douglas nods.
