I just watched Forrest Gump today. x3 The voice dubbing on the part with John is always disconcerting to me. O_o But it's so funny.

yeah, i agree. it's really fake, too...

Well this is more of a Yoko mention but, I was watching an old re-run of Married with Children the other night at 1 in the morning.
And Al and a friend are sitting on the couch watching tv and all you hear is this whiney chinese sounding woman talking about a new beer that helps save the trees or something.
And then she goes, "Now I sing you song I wrote... AHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHH AHHHHH!" And more screeching noises.
Then Al turns the tv off and says "Yoko ruins the Beatles and now beer!"

Or something along those lines, it's not all right haha.

Yeah, I saw some movie one time(I don't remember what it was, some made for TV thing) where there was this band, but one of the band members had this jerk of a girlfriend so they yelled at her "You're breaking up the band YOKO!"
There's probably a tremendous lot of Yoko references. 3nodding

I remember another reference today. The vultures in the Jungle Book, who were oh-so-obviously based off the Beatles. mrgreen

I've been wanting to watch The Jungle Book again just for those vultures. xP I don't think we have it any more...I watched it dozens of times when I was a kid, and always like the vultures, though I felt like I was missing out on something. AND I WAS! BUT NOW I KNOW! AH AHAHAHHAHAAAAA!

In Cheaper By the Dozen (we watched it in English the other day, I don't know why) they play a cover of Help!, which was bad news for me and my friend Rebekah, because we turned and looked at eachother and started cracking up and trying to stifle our laughter by plugging our noses and clapping our hands over our mouths.

It's standard procedure whenever we hear a Beatles reference. We just...can't...help it!

I used to watch the Jungle Book all the time. I liked the vultures too. I think that's when I started to know about the Beatles because my parent stold me they were based on the Beatles, and little me was all "*tilts head* Beatles?" and then they told me who they were and I thought Ringo was the most awesome name ever. xd I THINK that's when I found out about them. I don't really remember exactly. But of course, I didn't really start caring about them until some years down the road.

And that's a very interesting ritual you and Rebekah have. wink I've seen Cheaper by the Dozen, but I don't remember a cover of Help....

Lol. x3

My first memory of The Beatles dates back to when I was three, or maybe even younger. Anyway, it was in the old silver car, and there was something about The Beatles on the radio. I wasn't really listening to it, but I remembered the only other musical beetle that I knew of - the creepy perv Beetle from Thumbelina ("Seeya, toots!"). And that was my lasting impression until about the time George died.

Before I knew about the Beatles I sometimes watch that Thomas train series on tv. While I was reading the credits at the start of the show, I saw there that it was narrated by Ringo Starr. The first thing that came to my mind is "Ringo Starr, was he in that band?"

eek I think I remember the creepy perv beetle. Not a good example of a musical beetle. xd

So, last night I was channel-surfing and Men in Black was on. In the part I saw, Kay and Jay were looking at some of the technology that MIB had gotten from aliens, and one of them was this mini-CD that played music, and Kay said "That's the music-listening device of the future. Guess I'll have to buy the White Album again."
A brief reference, but it made me feel joyful on the inside. whee
