History Fact!!!!: In real life, Gambino was the name of a mafia family! could there be a tie between our beloved Johny Gambino and the mafia?! eek This isn't a sample of scientific trivia (for shame, I know) but I could not resist since you mentioned a historical fact. I promise to introduce a scientific tidbit next time. In the beginning of December 1939, the BBC invoked more hatred in the war than Hitler himself. By the way, bonus points to those who know what a spiv is. Can we wiki it? Do you mean the spiv or the BBC bit? Then again, I suppose it doesn't really matter. In other words, go ahead, comrade. Spiv is a british slang term for someone who possibly works at a black market, making a living by shady dealings.

ok back 2 the sci. facts: gaians are stronger than normal people in real life. (discovered this while in the towns, we are able to shake large rocks and large trees)

i dont know, i mean in a sense gains should be weaker due to the lesser gravity, but aparrently not. (srry 4 my absence btw, situations in rl prevented me from further research developement)
today's scientific fact: Gains are created in a secret lab that is unknown even to G Corp! (figured this out when realizing that there are no Gaian babies and children around)

Deinococcus radiodurans is able to withstand 5,000 Gy (gray unit, a SI unit of absorbed dose; a gray equals a joule of radiation energy by a kilogram of matter) with no loss of surival and 15, 000 Gy with a chance of 37%. Compare this to 10 Gy, which is enough to kill a human.

ok srry 4 the long pause, almost 4got about this thread that i made sweatdrop
at high altitudes, it takes a shorter amount of time for water to boil, but it will take longer for it to fully heat up. this is due to the higher amount of presure that is applied to the water. (found this out in highschool chem, and experienced it first hand when leaving a non opened bottle of carbonated water in the car and when i returned it was boiling)
