Azalreia ((Actually, Water-type does normal damage against Ice-type, and vice-versa. Also, there's a 50% chance of missing. As long as I hit, there's an almost definite chance you're going to miss.)) "Okay, Alexander! Use Surf!" A large wave arose from the ground and hit with moderate power. When it was over, a mist of salty water remained in the air.
Koraseru shook her head sadly as she called Glaceon back, although she couldn't help a small smile. She looked up at her challenger. "It's been a while since anyone managed to even scratch one of my Pokemon, but you've defeated two without them getting in a hit. It's time for my last resort..." She lowered her head, eyes closed as Froslass drifted on the field.
"Froslass..... Thunder."

Alexander took the hit hard and painfully. "Return. Okay, now it's time for starter against starter; go, Arthur!"
A smaller-than-average Aron stepped forward. "Okay. Start us off with Iron Head!"
The attack did double normal damage, and, considering Froslass's weakness to Steel, it did triple.

Koraseru flinched as Froslass took the hit full force, sending the ghost tumbling to land beside her trainer. The ghost struggled back to her feet, fixing Arthur with a feirce look. She wouldn't be able to survive another attack, but she at least had enough energy left to strike back. "Wake-up Slap." Although it would be more effective i f Arthur was asleep, it was still a decent fighting-type attack.

Arthur took just as much damage from Froslass's attack as Froslass took from his own. He hit the ground hard, cracking the surface of the ice he landed on. As he struggled to get back up, a bright light surrounded him. When he reammerged, he was a much larger Lairon.
"Excellent. Just excellent. Now, then; Arthur, use Iron Head again!" Another attack, even more powerful than before, hit Froslass. Even if the frigid ghost survived this, it wouldn't take long for it to break down.

"Enough!" Koraseru called out as Froslass was sent crashing by the Iron Head attack. The gym leader hurried to her ghost's side, helping her back up. She turned to the other trainer with a weary smile. "I'll admit defeat, you were more than enough of a worthy opponent." She reached into her pocket, pulling out what looked like a tiny metal, frosted Evergreen tree, and tossed it to Tita. "There. The Zero Badge is all yours. Thanks for the battle." She saluted her opponent cheerfully, Froslass mimicking her as usual.

Azalreia saluted, almost out of habit. "Thank you. When I'm the best gym leader there is, no offense, I'll be sure to thank you." She walked out happily, and for a moment, it was as if it was a perfect sunny summer day.

Koraseru and Froslass heaved a twin-sigh before exchanging glances. The trainer laughed once before heading to the center of the gym and seating herself in the floor. Her ghost-Pokemon joined her in meditation as the pair awaited a new challenger.

((hmm, i thought water did normal damage to ice types, and ice was not very effctive to water types... wierd, i guess, my pearl version was lying to me when my milotic was hit by an ice beam and it said not very effective, and when it said nothing when a wild sneasel was hit by surf from my swampert, and as far as i know, dark types have no weakness to water, oh well ninja ))
