Pokémon these days has had many fans, and many enemies, all for one reason. The fans love the idea of summoning monsters to do battle by command, while the enemies put it down because of the over-polite and cheesy characters. I have decided to revise and renew the idea of Pokémon and to recreate it into a more dark, realistic, world.
Rules
1. Use OOC when you are not roleplaying.
2. Be polite to others in OOC.
3. You may have a total of six Pokémon.
4. No cybering.
5. No godmodding.
6. I hate the idea of an organization that tries to take over, so I forbid establishing one.
7. There is no such thing as leveling. Pokémon evolve from winning repeated battles.
8. You may not have a beginning Pokémon as a legendary Pokémon.
9. When creating a Gym Leader character, all of your Pokémon will be strictly one element. Gym Trainers, matter of fact, tend to loose more often than they win, yet have a higher reputation than most trainers. Remember, all elements have their advantages and their weaknesses.
10. When choosing your beggining Pokémon, you may choose any two Pokémon that are included on the list. If your character's information includes that you are a new trainer, please do not start with an already evolved Pokémon. Remember, your Pokémon could have been given to you as a gift. Other than that, you must receive your non-evolved, random, beginning Pokémon from the nearby trainer licence commity (like Ash from the first episode). Be creative, but not too ordinary.
11. The fighting system is nothing specific, but just make sure that you apply the element physics and godmodding rules to your posts. It is not strictly turn based, but when one person posts their attacks, make sure you have a reaction.
12. To find wild Pokémon, basically search in the wilderness. If you are in tall grass, Pokémon will find you or you will find Pokémon depending on the situation, and their element will correspond to the area. For example, you will find bug, grass, and electric types in tall grass when you will find water types near rivers, lakes, or bays. You can find rock and sand types underground, in deserts, or in rocky areas. Capturing them is simple, tire the Pokémon out or incapacitate them, and then chuck a Pokéball at them. Similar to the games, they will be absorbed by the ball, light up, and rock back and forth as the Pokémon attempts to escape. The ball will darken if the Pokémon is captured and the Pokéball will break if it is not. The Pokémon will then be free to escape or continue to fight back as the broken Pokéball turns into trash.
13. PM your finished profile to me (Maker of the RP). I will reply to the PM either describing what has to be fixed or if I have accepted it.
Plot
The large island of Riga is populated of a variety of Pokémon not seen anywhere else on the planet. For years, there has been a system of dojos and cities developing on this island, and it has just recently finished construction. Trainers have been establishing their place by going from dojo to dojo, collecting badges in order to become Pokémon masters. This race of advancement is standing infront of you, and it's your turn to rise up and let the world know who you are.
