The ball began to shake and continued to shake till finally it stopped. Kai picked up the ball, and staired full of mixed feelings. He was happy to gain another pokemon but worried at the same time, that the pokemon what ever it was wouldnt like him and might turn on him. Deciding he would do his best to make it like him he made his way to the entrance of the safari zone.
"So did we catch anything today?" Kai pulled out the safari ball and let out the pokemon he caught. "Oh you got lucky, thats a rare pokemon indeed, thats a Dratini, the dragon type pokemon. here is an info sheet on it, and good luck!" With that Kai walked out of the safari zone looking at his new dratini's safari ball.

"Man, im almost out of money...I need to do some battling to make some cash. Hmm.. there is a gym in this town, they would probably pay more! and it would be better experience! I mean there is probably no one tougher in this town then the Gym leadaer! right, well then here we go!" Deciding to do some good training and make some good money, Kai made his way through the city looking for the Pokemon Gym.

Finding the gym Kai walks in. "Um...hello? I would like to face teh gym leader please?" He looked around hoping to find the leader

Ahem, you mean 'The' Gym leader, and that my friend is me." you turn arround and notice a finely dressed man  My name is Jarrod, I am the gym leader here, and I accept you're challenge, I do hope you came prepared for defeat because arround these parts I am famous trainer. and with that, Jarrod withdrew his Kadabra Versus

"So what are the rules here anyways?" Kai asked as he withdrew his Dratini. Its risky using this pokemon, I havent had much time to get to know it or train it yet but Hitmonlee wouldnt do good against this pokemon, and Treecko needs a break...
Dratini appeared a little confused as to what was going on. The first thing it noticed was Kai standing there, it staired for a few moments then turned to notice the Kadabra. Dratini began shaking in fear at this as it was not one to normally battle, it would always run away when possible.

The rules for my Gym are quite simple, single matches of one pokemon verses one pokemon lasting three turns each, the victor will determined by the performance of the pokemon, damage dealt and recieved. Obviously you want to deal the most damage gracefully getting hurt as little as possible, of course you can also try to make you're opponent's pokemon faint for a victory for that round.
With that being set let us begin. Kadabra use confusion against that Dratini. The Kadabra walked up and glared at the Dratini using its psychic powers it attempts to harm the Dratini mentally
(1d10 lands on 3 or lower Dratini is confused.)

"only three rounds....fine if thats how things are going to be..." Dratini began to shake and wiggle as it began to take damage from Kadabra. "Dratini use Twister!" Dratini continued to shake till suddenly it stopped. Its eyes began to glow as in front of it wind started spinning until a twister was created. "Dratin!!!!!!" It cried out as it launched the twister towards Kadabra who was already close to it. More then wanting to hurt its opponent it wanted kadabra away.

the Kadabra is launched up in the twister spinning arround looking at the Dratini Jarrod orders the Kadabra to use Kinesis to make the Dratini a little dizzy. withdrawing a concealed spoon, the kadabra begins to bend it with it's mind

Dratini gets a little confused but the twister keeps spinning. "Quick dont get distracted by it! use thunderwave!!" Dratini didn't do anything right away but decided to listen to kai, it shot a thunderwave up through the twister heading straight towards Kadabra.

a surge of lightning travels allong the currents of the twister striking the kadabra perhaps making it parylized. Jarrod yells for the kadabra to use one final Confusion before it is time to switch out Pokemon.
The kadabra starts to use its psychic abilities to distort and attack the mind of the dratini directly.

Once again Dratini began to shake and wiggle as its mind was being attacked by Kadabra. "Crap...Dratini use twister again, just keep damaging it!!" Dratini was still being hurt but it did its best to keep the twister spinning hoping to do as much damage as possible to kadabra.

"Come back Kadabra" calls Jarrod in a calm tone. "That was pretty good, now lets see how well you can hold up against my Lickitung, you have the opportunity to switch pokemon, but this match will be over in three turns."

Kai nods as a big grin crosses his face. He withdrew his Dratini and let out his hitmonlee. "Hitmonlee hasnt lost a battle yet! he is the powerhouse of my team!" Hitmonlee appeared and began to bounce (think how brucelee would bounce during a fight) ready for action.

"Lickitung, lets show him what we are made of." Jarrod lets loose his Lickitung. "Lickitung, use supersonic!"
and with that the Lickitung, made a high pitch noise in an attempt to confuse the hitmonlee
(5 or lower confused)

"hitmonlee dodge and use Double Kick!" Hitmonlee jumped to the side and ran forward. It brought its first leg forward extending its length to twice its normal size to make sure it reached its foe. its second foot ready to swing around once the first hits. "Mon lee!!!!"
