Hello i'm Kimy! I love Velvet Underground (Nico as well) I started listening to them a while back
(I think I was probably 10 at the time)
yup ever since then I can't stop listening

Bayer Heroin I wish my dad was more into VU, but he pretty much hates them because of the "screechy viola" sad I love the viola haha. And I'm pretty sure the only Lou Reed song my dad knows is Walk on the Wild Side D: The only thing I really talk to my dad about is VU...we always seem to end up on them no matter how we start out....and hi biggrin

And I'm pretty sure the only Lou Reed song my dad knows is Walk on the Wild Side D: The only thing I really talk to my dad about is VU...we always seem to end up on them no matter how we start out....and hi biggrin My dad and I usually talk about Brit Invasion bands...since his favourite is the Beatles and my favourite is The Who razz We're always kinna fighting over who's better and why XD

my dad probably doesn't know of them.
and probably would curse about them
even if he liked them.
he mostly cares for his Sabbath, and his son who plays Sabbath (nevermind the daughter who used to..), and for, I dunno. But not the VU.

im chloe / eloeth, im 20, and i come from london. the velvet underground have been one of my fave bands since i was about 15. i like lou reeds solo stuff too, and some of nico's. havent ever listened to any of john cale's though.
my fave songs are probably 'heroin', 'waiting for the man', and 'venus in furs'.
my other fave bands are joy division, the doors, the jesus and mary chain and frank zappa.

Hello!
I'm Miriam and I'm 14.
I haven't heard a lot of the Velvet Underground's music besides three songs (Perfect Day, Here She Comes Now, and Venus In Furs).
I don't know much about the Velvets, and I've been looking for one of their CDs for ages (I live in India, where this kind of stuff is sometimes hard to find xd ).
I listen mostly to alternative rock, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are my favorite band.
I play guitar a little bit (I haven't touched my guitar for ages though sweatdrop ) and I used to play the drums too ... smile
PS: Where do i get that little "Peel slowly and see" banner thing for this guild? I want to put it in my sig

I'm the same way with guitar, I used to know so much, and now I don't even remember chords very well D: Sux.
