Angel of Metal Lyn, that sucks about your computer. And about my song, it is not evil whatsoever, it is a statement about the carelessness in the lives of our brainwashed teens, and how the media controls, and how school teaches theories, not facts. It has a Christian message, you call that evil? I'm just doing Death Metal because I was pissed when I decided to write it. I'm about half-way done with the lyrics, then comes the music... gonk maybe, but titles as "the world has failed" is a bit to harsh. you can say anything about teens etc, but try to give some solutions in it, otherwise you get a brainless hate song.

Angel of Metal Actually I'm gonna write a death metal song called "the world has failed" And don't give me the hand or I'll ban you! Sorry I didn't catch this for a while... It was a joke, and check the white text. biggrin

I am the master of white text, I freaked out all my friends with it.
s**t, abort mission, slipknot did it, that sucks...
And Wim, I will offer solutions, the whole Christian part of it, it points out mistakes, then says why it is messed up, then what the world needs in place of it. it's gonna be a long song... The world is very messed up.

It is happy Death! (hehe, thats funny)

I changed my mind. I'm gonna make a powerdeath (Powermetal mixed with Death Metal) song called Jibberish. The lyrics will mean nothing. They will be random, like "Pickles the drummer doodly doo" and crap like that. The intro will be like "doodly doodly doodly doo doodly doodly doodly doo".

Ahh, but lyrics matter in Prog. It can be cool jibberish in Death and still be awesome. I was thinking Melodic Death because then it will be only the guitar that matters.

Of course. I'll make sure that there a good drums and bass, but I'm a guitarist, so that's why I said that. I don't concern myself with those.

I've been drumming for some 10 years alltogether and in this band I also write lyrics and vocal arrangements (vocals are sung by other people however). We do have a myspace account but it kind of sucks, so if you're interested just go to www.crimsonlotus.org and have a look. smile
I've mentioned this project earlier in an unrelated thread somewhere but since there's an actual threat for this, here I am again!

Thanks, I will. wink I just found out that my building's club-house has a music room with all kinds of instruments - including edrumkit (which I can use for triggered recording)!! Hong Kong's newer buildings usually have attached clubhouses with pool, gym, library and all that kind of stuff - and mine has a music room too! Huzzah!!! whee
