Kazuki resisted a laugh. She was definitely not the smartest fish in a school. His urge only risen after she told him that she would try to find a dragon. Though he heard many fairy tales about them he never really accepted their existence. These were topics little shikoku would mewl about while playing. It was found humorous.
"We're orphans because we were abandoned by our mother and father," he stated, able to keep a good smile on. Katsumi was more upset at the fact that she didn't know who their father or mother were but Kazuki never saw a problem with it, as he never had the chance to see them. He had a feeling his sister did spend time with them, so that could be why she hates being an orphan more.
With a small unsuppressed chuckle he trotted towards Rika. "Are you okay?" He politely asked.

"I'm awright." She said with a handful of flowers in her moouth. "Pa-tooey!' As she spit them out. Eww. Note to herself.. Never eat flowers. They tasted awful. As she was trying to rid her mouth of the taste, a butterfly had landed on her hair, going un-noticed by the victim.
"Well.. If that's what orphans are.. Than I'm probably one too. I've never known my parents.. Just Tifa.." She pondered thoughtfully. Her ears laid back, and her tail swishing from the right to left. "But how can you miss what you've never had?" She inquired, mainly talking to herself.
"But anyways~ Do you miss your parents?" she said, choosing her words carefully, as to not offend anyone.
The butterfly flitted about in her mane however, she was unaware.

Kazuki cautiously stepped away from the saliva infested, chewed up flowers and chuckled. That couldn't have tasted good.
"Well you see orphans had parents, but they just left them. Either that or they probably died," he sighed sadly. Katsumi was so lucky to know their parents, unlike him. He didn't know where they were now. "I'm not too sure if I miss them or not. Since I never knew them I don't think I miss them, but I would have liked to know them."
He then peeked his head at Rika's mane and blinked. "Rika there's a butterfly on your mane."

"Yeah. It would have been nice.." She said thoughtfully. How would her parents have looked like? Or tifa for that matter? Life was so very confusing. It didn't make sense why a parent would want to leave her baby, or so Rika thought.
"But if Katsumi had known your parents.. Their leaving must be harder on her than most." She said, with a soft murmur. "But their is no abandonment of another.. you know?" She said quietly, actually being serious for once. "You parents dont own you. Who decides if they are owned? You aren't owned by anybody, but youself. So their is no 'abandoning.' actually." She added with a thoughtful look. "Your sister didn't have to abandoned by them. She could have followed them, you know?"
With an adrupt change of the subject however, "Or we could have grown on eggs and never had parents!" She substituted in her own theory~ "Lalalala~" She sang as she skipped around, hardly noticing his last statemnt.

Kazuki was a bit confused at her statement. It's true they didn't own him like property but they were suppose to take care of him until they thought it was best to let him go. Though what she said about Katsumi was true. She had a choice to leave with mother and father...didn't she?
"I suppose you do have some kind a point," he said with a wishful ponder. He made no comment to being born from eggs and didn't bother repeating that there was a living insect yet beautiful on her mane.
