Death with Candy When you've considered being Susan Sto Helit for Halloween, but back out due to a bad wig. When you've devoted more time to figuring out how to fit 20 Discworld books into a dorm room than is considered reasonable. clover can do that- into a backpack.

When, whenever you lose something, you wander around looking in drawers and muttering to yourself, "Where is my textbook? Is that my textbook? It goes "Webster's Unabridged Encyclopedic Dictionary"! No, that's not my textbook!"
When you loudly complain about "all the bloody quantum" when trying to understand the structure of an atom.
When you start replacing the word "know" with the word "ken" in everyday conversation.

Why didn't I think of that? surprised When you took Physics just to understand "the bloody Quantum". (I dropped the class xp ) When you've doodled The Glorious Slogan over all your notebooks at least once.

Death with Candy When you've considered being Susan Sto Helit for Halloween, but back out due to a bad wig. I DID that. I backed out because I couldn't find a dress. Here's one - When you write in The Glorious 25th of May in your planner so you;ll remember to wear lilac. Then you steal the planners of your non-Pratchett frinds and put it in theirs as well. I really did that.

I never tried to be Susan for Hallooween- I figured she didn't have quite enough defining features. So I went as Anoia instead. This was before the latest Wee Free Men book came out, so I just braided a bunch of plasticware into my hair, included a hair ornament made from two metal spoons, painted my lips silver, and wore a black dress with various kitchen implements stuck to it with a cape made entirely from dishtowels and a spatula scepter.

But I do go for the classics - and I always root for the zombies/werewolves/vampires (this made Underworld a little confused). Everytime I see the Wizard of Oz, I expect the Campaign for Equal Heights to come out right after the Lollipop Gang.

It's so hard being a dual-nationality fan... Or dual-fandom... Or whatever... See, more people would get the towel, but I'd be in school carrying a towel.
Lilac I can pretend is for ornamentation purposes. I'm totally doing it... And if someone says, "OMG LILAC HAPPY 25th! "I can run over to them and say,
"Pratchett fan?"
"Yeah!!!!!!!"
*squeeeeee*

When you say 'The Glorious Slogan', what do you mean? I can't quite remember... >< *can't really remember everything*
When you remember how you used to call your teacher a witch... back in the days they had chalk and blackboards. A witch of chalk. >< And then you faint.
Or... you poke around odd structures and wonder if Bloody Stupid Johnson designed it. And if it has any cool features.

True! Nobody here would get the lilac, though. Well, maybe this one girl. But I never see her anyway. It's tragic.
Glorious slogan: Truth, Justice, Freedom, Reasonably Priced Love and a Hardboiled Egg! It's from Night Watch mrgreen I have a hard time remembering deails too, but that one stuck.
Cool features here used in the sense of explosions and mind-altering geometry, right? sweatdrop My friend and I spent half an hour at least looking for a room called the Airport Lounge. It was supposedly on the fourth floor of two connected buildings, and we could not find that thing for love or money. Then yesterday I had a meeting scheduled there and I found it in a minute.
I think our library was designed by B.S. too.. the floors don't correspond to the Stacks, which are where the actual books are.. usually. Even the Librarian might get lost there biggrin
