A lot of Japanese food is good for you. Such as their many Tofu dishes, or Fish Dishes, But I can say that when you eat the japanese food here, its soo much different from the food that is actually in Japan. *Sniffles* Oh how I miss the ultra fresh Sushi and the wonderful Tofu resturant. *just got back from Japan about 3 weeks ago*

Being Chinese and having parents who cook chinese food every night, I can definitely say most of the stuff is high in oil and salt. I've watched my parents just pour the oil in heaps at a time to everything, and add loads of soy sauce to just about every dish. (btw, in many recipe books from china, they don't measure in mL or whatever, you just eyeball it by comparing it to other things).
so i can definitely say that most, or at least a lot, of chinese food is bad for you.. but there are some that are good. steamed vegetables, plain rice, etc.

Muffyn My weakness is Seseme Chicken and Lo Mein. heart What is bad is my class is literally next door from a Chinese restaurant and people in my class constantly eat it. I hate smelling my loves and yet not wanting to eat it because if it's calories. I'm not sure what would be the best. I imagine the soups are probably the lowest calorie thing. And I have checked out your weight loss journal!!! You must have true dedication since you have lost 11 pounds, to be so close to a favorite restaurant every day.
