The First at Zikkles Pocky Around the peaceful meadow at Zikkles Pocky, one of the newest land plots created for Zikkles, a slight wind brewed; a wind... of change. Since Zikkles Pocky was so new to the area, it had no inhabitants; and it's single land plot was barren of fruitful enjoyment. Compared to the surrending Zikkles lands, it was bland, boring, and highly out of date. With nothing but a mere tree to decorate it. Feburary fourth rolled around like any other day. Normal birds chirping as the sun rose, but something was about to change. Along the entrance to Zikkles Pocky, a young human walked, caressing a small orange egg. This human happened to the be the caretaker of Zikkles Pocky; and the egg, the new inhabitant. The human entered Zikkles Pocky, and soon nestled the little egg in a pad of grass. The human placed a red ball beside the egg, and whispered, "Sshokumotsu," giving a name to the egg. The human proceeded to walk off the property, leaving the egg alone. The egg wiggled slightly, and inside Sshokumotsu felt the warmth that had once surrounded his egg shell leave. A small moan came from the growing Sparx. His eyes became heavy, and he was soon in the middle of a deep sleep |12|

In the Underworld's Shadows Feburary fifth came around, as the early morning sun peaked out over the single land plot. But, unlike the other mornings, the sun also glimsed at Sshokumatsu, the Sparx egg still sleeping soundly. High above the egg, the tree shed a few leaves down, covering the egg ever so slightly. As the sun grew higher though, the egg began to stir... The sunrays glimmered towards the egg; the light pentrating the soft pumpkin orange egg shell. As the sun rose higher in the sky, the way a child grows into and adult, Sshokumatsu began to stir inside the egg. His first waking thoughts of the morning were: What's that bright light? Inside the shell, the still forming Sparx used his stubby paws to wipe his tired eyes. He shoved around the internal yolk, and created a little chair of soft goo, where he could rest. How much longer does this stage in my life last? contemplated Sshokumatsu, never one to be patient. As the sun rose higher in the sky, longer hours passed, and Sshokumatsu dozed in and out of sleep. Then, suddenly, the warm and bright light were gone, and Sshokumatsu was falling, falling into an abyss of the cold, shadowed underworld. He squeaked, Where did it go?! Where, oh Where?! His shell wiggled lightly, as he sent out shivers, both from panicking and the chill. His fragile body was imeressed into a rigged, cold fever. At this rate, the young Sparx egg was bound to catch a cold, if that was possible whilst inside an egg shell. Sshokumatsu was shell-shocked, literally, and figuratively... [to be continued] |17|

A New World & New Arrivals As the impending doom of a cold, dark death, continued to spread throughout Sshokumatsu's small egg; life would soon erupt. Sshokumatsu sat in his egg, shivering. He stirred around the egg's yolk, hoping to muster up what could be used as a blanket to warm the young egg. His attempts were futile as the cold continued to decrease the egg's tempature. Several hours had passed, as well as many songs of crickets - annoying crickets! What seemed to be days later, but was most likely six hours or so, the cold started to recede, but only slightly. But, the cold was being replaced by another feeling, a wet, damp feeling. Less than an hour later, much of the cold was gone, but the wet, damp feeling still lingered. Warmth was beginning to touch the edges of the egg. As the Odyssey would say, young Dawn with fingertips of rose made heaven bright once more.* Sshokumatsu soon became impatient, and began jiggling around in his shell. He rocked back and forth wildly, in a similar style to the modern day zikkle Rock stars - although he had yet to meet those. Suddenly, the shell split, a huge crack right down the middle, but a slight layer of slimly membrane still protected Sshokumatsu from the outer world. A light brighter than the light before pentrated down, momentarily blinding Sshokumatsu. It was time to hatch, and journey out of the egg. Carefully, Sshokumatsu broke the membrance, and released a flow of egg yolk fluid, spilling it all over the ground. Sshokumatsu shook himself off, sending bits of fluid flying through the air. Once Sshokumatsu's eyes had finally adjusted to the sun's light, he slowly looked around. Turning his head from side to side, he expected to observe an empty lot, instead it was teaming with new arrivals to Zikkles Pocky...Feburary sixth. The third day at Zikkles Pocky for Sshokumatsu; the first for five new tenants. Just after sunrise, the same young human who had dropped off Sshokumatsu at the property, had escorted five new tenants onto the property. By the time Sshokumatsu had hatched, three new land plots had been added to Zikkles Pocky as well. Togiretogire, a new Sparx made note of the surroundings... Togiretogire stepped onto the new land, proded by a gentle human hand, followed by the other new four tenants. The broken-stone Sparx observed the landscape. The entering land piece seemed the most worn, though was not much older than the few other pieces, who seemed to sparkle with a new light. The first land piece also played host to a small orange egg, who seemed to be moving about wildly. Also, upon the land plot lay a single red ball. Maybe a toy for when the young egg hatched? For certainly it would not be meant to be entertainment for the older new tenants. Togiretogire moved onto the land plot. It was boring, and uninteresting, containing only a normal tree, shedding leaves like a cat would shed its fur, and another red ball. Togiretogire scoffed. He hadn't been informed that this would be a playground for the younger zikkles. Pushing his way towards the finish of his tour around Zikkles Pocky, he encountered the house, making home on the second to last land plot. He stood for a bit admiring it. A nice house, stone pathway, and inside was a most delightful shade of grey. His thoughts were interrupted by the proding of one of the other tenants, eager to get on with the tour. The last land plot housed a tree, now accepting that fall was upon Zikkles Pocky, as well as a distractingly childish toy duck, two others of which lay scattered around Zikkles Pocky. "This concludes the tour then..." he said, hoping to ride himself of the pesky others. He began to meander back to the house, so that he might admire it a bit more. Arashi followed the Sparx with content, soaking in her new environment. As they reached the last land plot, she felt her calling. Fall was her favorite time; fall and its fall storms of wind and wild thunder. Arashi sat, huddled under the shade of the autumn tree, idlely collecting the leaves about and arranging them into piles, only to disperse them after a few minutes. Arashi was glad when the other tenants finally took their leave. She wasn't very social, and other people made her uncomfortable. Arashi bounced over the land, towards the front of the land plot; hoping to find materials to make a fence, shutting off her land plot from the others. When she found nothing, she bounced back to her spot under the tree, and went back to idlly making leaf piles. Kyandoru wandered along the land plots, looking for somewhere sutible for the wax-pile as he was often called in his childhood. He finally found his way back to the entrance land plot, and out of sheer sloth-ness, plopped himself down, propping himself against the bridge's post.Sshokumatsu, just now having hatched, began to shout, "HELPPP!!", and ran over, stopping on the second land plot, where he saw a much older sparx. So old and ancient that it even had... a CRACK. Togiretogire sighed and rolled his eyes. "You're fine. Don't worry." Then, under his breathe, he mumbled, Are ALL Sparx like this when they hatch? Certianly I wasn't... though I can't quite remember that far back... it was quite a lonngg time ago. Togiretogire's scornful thoughts were soon faded into memories of his past, before the delicate daydream was interrupted by a small pipping. Feeling slightly ignored, Kyandoru asked, "What about me?" He hoped to receive attention from another zikkle. Unluckily, he had caught the attention of the ever moody, old geiser Togiretogire. As Togiretogire emitted a glare at Kyandoru, he shut his mouth and returned to a silent relaxed position, leaning against the branch post. Behind Kyandoru, Kyoukan was at the base of the tree, struggling to see upward. Then, in the blink of an eye, Kyoukan remembered he could float, being the ghost-like creature he was. He shifted through the leaves, up to the top, and began to nestle himself among the leaves, away from the loud ruckus and drama happening below. Ignorant of the other tenants, Hayashi stood, at the front of the first land plot, she hadn't bothered to keep moving. This shiny, red object had caught her eye. Could it be... a raspberry maybe? Raspberries were verrryyy good. Oh, and their color was just delightful as well. But this wasn't just ANY raspberry, no, no, it was a GIANT raspberry. It might even have juices more suclent than those of more raspberries. Despite these tempting thoughts, Hayashi couldn't be bothered to test this theory. No, it was much to shiney to be devoured.Feburary sixth ended with much commotion, and... distraction by red balls thought to be raspberries. With so much on the first day, who knows what could happen next.[*Note: If anybody has read Robert Fitzgerald's translations of the Odyssey, they would understand the allusion about young Dawn; it's mentioned only a thousand times.] |82|

Kyandoru's Poll An early morning sun broke the peaceful sleeping at Zikkles Pocky, causing a great wave of commotion to spread thoughtout. Gumpiness ensued. As Togiretogire awoken from a light sleep, he noticed the nearby Kyandoru. Too nearby. Raising his stony paw, he rapped against Kyandoru's resting head. Once Kyandoru had shown signs of waking up, Togiretogire proceeded to yell at Kyandoru. "You STUPID poo. STUPID. Stay away from me when I'm sleeping!" His voice crossed the entire land plot, waking up anybody else who had happened to sleep through dawn's breaking. Having just been knocked roughly on the skull, Kyandoru angrily looked up, just in time to hear Gire screech about something, but Kyandoru only understood the word /stupid/ so he blocked it out. He curled back up, tilting his head at an angle to rest against the bridge's poll once more. It reminded him of his childhood. When his parents woke him up, and then continued to scream at him, he would just doze back off, and try to ignore it. He had hoped that moving away from home would solve the problem. Apparently not.Sshokumatsu, who had been sleeping peacefully prior to Togiretogire's scolding, lazily wiped his eyes. The young Sparx glared up at the world; mornings were not his specality. Actually, it was not so much morning, as it was Togiretogire. Not only had Togiretogire just woken up Sshokumatsu, but he had also prevent Sshokumatsu from visiting the new habitat after hatching from his egg. Rather than continue to listen to Togiretogire's rants, Sshokumatsu bounded off, sprinting past Togiretogire, off in the direction of the hosue. His sprint was interrepted as he went sprawling, hands and paws spread out like a star. He had tripped... over Kyandoru. Kyandoru's rest had not been interrupted by just one commotion that morning, but two in the same morning. He huffed. Still, images of his childhood lingered in his memory. Now it mainly consisted of his schooling years, where nobody cared for him; where he had no friends. Instead of resorting to methods of yelling to scold Sshokumatsu, he turned. His eyes faced straight into Sshokumatsu's eyes, who was now sitting up, brushing off dirt and oblivious to Kyandoru's stare. "Kumatsu. Watch where you're going next time." With that Kyandoru turned back, and instead of attempting to go back to sleep, he sat up, reclining against the bridge poll. It would have to carve his name into it soon, claim it as his.Not even a day later, did an illegible scrawl appear of the post. Someone who could read even the most illegible handwriting, could only dechiper the word for "Kya" at the end. |36|

Attack... of the Giant Raspberries? Once again, we commence with the tale of happenings at Pocky Zikkle. Today's episode completely unscripted adventure focuses on Hayashi... Or does it? In a high pitched sing-songy voice, Hayashi chimed in with the birds' early morning call. She heaved heavy sighs, full of energy; but so full that it was tiring her just to carry it around. Hayashi poked the small ball in front of her. "Giant Raspberry~" she squealed with delight. It had been two days, and she had yet to figure out that the shiney, round ball, which didn't even appear to be a raspberry except in its color, was not actually a raspberry. The shineness was just a bit too distracting for Hayashi to come to her senses. Arashi, visiting the populated land plots for once, noticed Hayashi's preoccupation with the red ball. Hmm - I wonder if she wants another one? Instead of being like a normal zikkle, who would pick up a ball, bring it over to Hayashi, and offer it to her; Arashi decided to throw the ball at Hayashi. The red ball flew overhead, hitting Hayashi in the side. Hayashi reacted with a yelp. Only seeing the red ball slice through the air, she screamed out, "GIANT RASPBERRY. The giant raspberries attacking me!" She swung back and forth wildly, bashing her cap against the raspberry, knocking it away. Apparently oblivious to Hayashi's screams and spasms, Arashi threw yet another red ball. I hope she'll like the gift. Or maybe she won't, so then she'll stay away from me? That would be nice too.The afternoon commotion continued, drawing up a crowd of all the tenets except Togiretogire, until Sshokumatsu decided it needed to be stopped.Blowing a little whistle into the air, Sshokumatsu commanded the attention of Hayashi and Arashi. Noticing that those eyes weren't the only eyes centered on him, he motioned for the others the scatter, and then went up to Hayashi and Arashi. "Arashi, stop throwing balls at Hayashi. Hayashi, they're balls. b-a-l-l-s. NOT RASPBERRIES." Before Sshokumatsu could get any farther, Hayashi burst into dramatic tears. "I want Raspberries. Not a stupid ball. I WANT A RASPBERRY." Hayashi could be satisifed by nothing less than a raspberry. |33|

Party Preparations The morning of Saturday the tenth of Feburary hit with a spark. The Dawn had barely brightened the heavens with her finger tips of rose before Sshokumatsu was bounding around Zikkles Pocky, accompanied by bundles of ballons and other party favors. Sshokumatsu ran around his home, placing ballons in every crevice he could find. He sprinkled confetti everywhere, including on top of various residents. He hummed a cheerful song, skipping throughtout all of Zikkle Pocky. Then Sshokumatsu whipped up a quick batch of punch - Hawaiian punch and sprite, as well as a few snacks, cheese, crackers, that sort of thing. The final step, was... ELIMINATION of all zikkles. Or in better terms, making sure none of the residences messed up the party. Efficentally, Sshokumatsu went around, telling all the residences not to mess with anything, or to touch anything. |9| [Sorry for the uber-crappy journal entry x.x; it was late, but I still wanted to do a journal entry today]

Entrance of Two Eggs It had been quite a while since anybody new had set foot on the land of Zikkles Pocky. The residents themselves had finally settled into the normal dealings of life - as normal as it could get at least. Breaking the morning's silence, Hayashi erupted into "BERRIES!" The red balls bounced as Hayashi bumped and bashed into them, sending them flying in all directions. The nearby Kyandoru sat, attempting to ignore the screeches of Hayashi - an apparently futile attempt. Kyandoru sighed. If there was any hope of calming Hayashi, he would have attempted it; but there was none to be found. She refused to try the berry, and her mind lacked any sense of sanity. Kyoukan was the first to notice the two strange eggs. White shells glistened under the rising sun. Kyoukan hadn't seen anybody come and drop them off - but that meant nothing. Obviously, the egg-stork had delivered the two eggs. Eyes almost popping from his head, Kyoukan hovered over towards the two. Beside the two lay a note, "This is Nagisa and Tamao. Please take good care of them. ~ The Egg-Stork" "Ha! I was right. It WAS the egg-stork," Kyoukan shouted to no one in particular. Far from all the commotion, Arashi sat content, on her fall-based island. Her quiet morning nap was disturbed though - by what, she wasn't quite sure. She looked around. Nobody else was in view. Oh - wait. What's this? On the side of her island she noticed edges of wood sticking up. She wandered over. The edges of wood lead to something larger - a ladder. Peering over the edge, Arashi noticed a new plot of land. She sighed - something new. Change. But... this could be could change, could it not? The land plot below was a vivid pink, lined with darkened pink spots - which seemed to be heart shaped? It actually looked quite peaceful. Plus with the ladder, it set her farther apart from all the others. Arashi climbed down the ladder. Ohoh, and the land plot had the smoothest texture, much better than prickely grass. It was... nice. No, calm. No, PINK. That was the best way to describe it.Many changes are happening at Zikkles Pocky - a new land plot AND two new eggs... from the egg-stork, what could this mean? |40|
