Arthur smiled lightly and chuckled. "Don't worry, a few people have taken the part of calling me Galesen so you can do so as well; besides like Kieran has said it will be easier on your tongue to pronounce me by my elven name so I really don't mind." He didn't care much at call, Zahara and Isle call him by his elven name so he would allow Lateef. Though he raised an eyebrow when the older elf went about telling him how to show people here the proper respect while being up here, when the man was done he went about trying it himself and after trying it a few times he nodded lightly to the elf and smiled. "Alright then, thanks for telling me." A small smile to that before they headed on down the hallway.
So of course Arthur kept himself quiet, nodding when he thought was right because Lateef talked for a pretty long time, must be because of his musical training; though of course when he brought up the problem of racial tensions he nodded a little and said. "Trust me Lateef when I go and look around here in Andal I will keep to myself and only ask questions when I believe they are needed, I don't want to get anyone in trouble." Though he let the elf continue and he smiled a little when Lateef said that he could always ask the servants to change his room if anything didn't feel right. "Thank you Lateef, if you don't mind me calling you by your first name, and don't worry I'll keep the secret." He gave a small smile to let the elf know that everything was okay and the continued on with the brief tour.
Though he was surprised when Lateef brought up the fact that he liked his daughter. Arthur paused for a second before he chuckled nervously and looked at the older elf with a small smile. "I had a feeling you would of figure it out...well when your daughter came down to visit Piper she was like no other woman I have ever met...shes very interesting, her music is lovely, and her skills in fighting are really good too." His smile turned into a small grin as he looked away, Arthur was nervous of course Isle's father did just find out that he was interested in his daughter so this could be awkward.

Tyyrael was one Kieran was not afraid to show his true lax around. Thus he sunk down into a chair and rested his elbows on his knees and his face in his hands a moment as he thought. Those were troubling words weren't they. "I do my best Master Tyyrael to keep peace with her. Daimos is a mere mile and fifty foot deep water away from my borders, I haven't much choice but to be forced into seeing her. I can take no more peacful route than I am now, other to knowingly let her invade Requias and take back what she believes her. The Requias Obsidian will not stand idly by...war will break out between those who follow Cafell and those of Kafele."
He lifted his face and folded his hands over before resting his chin on the back of his hands and looking to the older elf in the room. These are the kinds of talks he should be having with his father, but Ahkallyn would rather rip him down and feed him to dragons. "What can I do then, in your opinion to settle the unrest? Malik is trustworthy, does my daughter's judging hold no worth to anyone on his character and thus no worth herself?" He shook his head lightly...and he still had one hundred and fifty or so years to go with this ruling thing. "Mahlari tests me these days one purpose I think..."

Tyyrael rested a hand on his friend's shoulder and shook his head. "Piper is not receieved by many as a stalwart elf here and her judgment is questioned more than any I have ever seen. Most believed her husband would kill her within a few years, others believed he'd rape her and force her into childbirth even though her fertility is low. I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know and expect Kieran. Most do not look favorably on your daughter. That is merely the truth."
He shrugged lightly and cleared his throat. "Those who speak of you in derogatory and cruel terms and merely attempting to find a scapegoat. Many of them are older, much like your father, and quite set in their ways. They refuse to admit that our economy has fairly boomed and our relations have improved as a result of your championing. Focusing on the bad gives them something to complain about and they do so loudly to any who will listen. Dismiss them as the criers they are, your position is safe as long as you do nothing to alienate your true people. I think most are more concerned that your care lies far too much with those many are afraid to trust. Prove your complete loyalty to your own and you will quiet any mutiny that might be in the works."
He smiled and lifted his hands. "You are greatly respected and revered my friend by those who remember the good things you have done. You have never tried to slight anyone and you do not play by your own rules but look out for all concerned. These things are not far from our hearts and minds. Those who rail against you are taking the small things, namely the possiblity of turning Obsidian and your daughter's actions and making them into much more than they are. You have nothing to worry about except Mahlari's less than stellar behavior as of late. And if she goes too far you have only one message to send and she will be taken care of. I stand by you, Kieran, as I always have. As your friend and as the Brigade Master, I believe that you are what's best for the moon elves as well as Andal herself. You must not lose faith in yourself. How can your people believe in a faithless leader?"
"It is you I am most concerned about Galesen. Kieran is well known for bringing visitors to our beloved plane though in the past they caused a great stir. Elves, as you know, are long in the memory and many carry grudges. Reinforcing unfavorable opinions and causing Kieran to be looked on with censure is not the way to endear yourself to anyone here on this plane or my daughter, though you have your hands full right there." He paused for a moment and gestured to their newest destination. "The kitchens. Little Lharika Silvercrest is quite fond of those down here."
Continuing on he climbed a set of stairs. "You must mind your words and in some cases your gaze as well. Be observant and follow what the majority are doing. It will keep you out of trouble and make you less conspicious. Thankfully you are not drow for that would cause more problems than we need right now but I can't see Kieran so absentminded that he would bring one up at a time when relations are so strained."
Lateef didn't miss Galesen's skirting of subjects or his refusal to reveal anything personal. His resolution to watch the elf hardened instantly. He would not be so lax this time as to allow Kieran to be locked away for another's misdeeds. Correcting the problem from last time meant more information both given and recieved. He did have to chuckle when he mentioned how unique Isle was. "I must caution you to guard yourself around her. She is not like anyone, male or female, that you will ever meet. Sometimes I wonder myself if she truly is my offspring but then I thank Rinc Kier everyday that she is. She will challenge you and drive you the very brink of insanity but she also loves deeply and wholly and not very often. There has not been an elf yet to steal her heart and I don't think it will ever happen. She more often than not is the one who steals the hearts of her suitors, generally crushing them in the process." He shook his head. "She is not cruel or meanspirited. She is..." he smiled and walked out onto the balcony he'd been on before. "The wind. Free and wild and unwilling to be tamed or caught. Those who get caught up in her path are taken for a ride but are eventually set down. Mind yourself that you leave with everything you came with." And he was not referring to Andal either. Leading him to Kieran's office, he stopped and turned, his face turning serious.
"Andal does not take kindly to those who wish her harm and that is where our final stop will come in. I mentioned to you earlier about the displeasure regarding Kieran's earlier guests. That will come into play here. Be respectful and do not react harshly. The elf you are about to meet is one of the most important in Andal and it will go well if you make a good impression on him. He is not royalty and you do not bow to him but he holds your fate in his very hands and if he so chooses you can be ejected from the plane or even forfeit your life." Dire threats were always good for enforcing behavior. "Ready yourself Galesen." He lifted a hand and knocked.

Arthur blinked a few times and his ears twitched as well as he listened to Lateef quietly and slowly he nodded. "I remember hearing a bit of what Malik did when he was up here for his wedding and before I came here I was given a lot of warnings from everyone back down in the Underdark and the last thing on my mind is to do something that will place bad light on either Kieran, your daughter, or even Malik himself." Though he had to grin a little when he was told about the kitchen. "That's sweet." He chuckled a little before he raised his hand as he started to cough, gods this air sucked right now; but he kept himself going as he followed Lateef up the stairs, his ears catching every word the man was telling him and again he had to nod lightly. "Thank you for telling me all this, it'll help me a lot while I go about looking around Andal; though yes you're right it's best that I am not a drow...I have had a feeling that most people would be worried about someone coming from the Underdark but would worry more if I happen to be a drow." But he was at least lucky right now, and Lateef was being really nice.
Though of course when it came to the man's daughter he listened in silence again, it was kind of odd to see a father talking about his daughter like this so he still kept himself quiet, the man was being very serious here and Arthur didn't want to cut in and say something rude which may upset him. Though he followed the elf and grinned a little when he called her the wind. "The wind huh? It does sound a lot like her when I think about it..." He rested a hand on the man's shoulder and grinned a little bit. "Thank you for telling me all this, it's nice to find someone so kind to a person they've just met...again thank you Lateef." Though he did catch on to something that he may have been referring to at the end of his speech on his daughter, he would have to think that over later.
Though when Lateef lead him to Kieran's office the nice calm face he saw on him was gone and he was all serious which shook him a little, it kind of bothered him but he didn't let that be seen on his face. When he went on telling him what was going on he was a little shocked and it could be seen on his face, this man he was going to meet could hold his life in his hands? That was disturbing but he had to met him none the less. So after a moment Arthur nodded lightly to Lateef and ready himself for at least giving the salute to the man since he wasn't royalty. "I'm ready."

"Sometimes...I believe that she was the one who was right when she decided to leave that first time. I had been weary to let her go when I did, but perhaps it truly was for the best. Andal as she says...really isn't too much her home." He gave a sigh, leaning back in his chair and indeed looking quite the tired elf when usually he was anything but tired looking.
But he thought on the words being presented to him and then nodded lightly in response. "You do prove your point, stable and steady as ever Master Tyyrael." Giving one of those releasing sighs and a slight smile. "Seems as ever, I have to just merely turn a quieted ears to some and continue on with what I've been able to do best for all these years. But I assure you Master Tyyrael, I will not aggrivate Daimos. Merely hold my borders. Do forgive me if formal paperwork crosses your desk asking for runic measures in the near future." A rather cheer gathering chuckle at that. Didn't they all just love paperwork.
But his attention tured as his ears twitched at the sound of knocking on the door. "Seems Lateef has come...and he probably has with him someone you should meet, Master Tyyrael. Though I suppose I should warn you now...a surface elf from Labyrinth, where Piper resides." Looking back to the door. "Come in." His office after all.

"I do try my friend. The advice I give is yours to do with as you will." He gave a chuckle, "Paperwork. Kieran, that is why I have lackeys. they handle my papework to leave me time for important things, like twiddling my thumbs and writing long and involved letters that never get sent but make me feel so much better."
Lateef glanced momentarily at the hand on his shoulder but he swallowed down any protest and merely brushed off his gratitude. "It is my job. I welcome you and squire you about to acquaint you with the procedures and rules that you must follow. It takes a load off of Kieran's mind and extends our famous hospitality." He did not say whether he liked Galesen or not, he was reserving judgment on that.
"Good." Opening the door he stepped in and held it for Galesen to pass through as well. Lateef gave the formal salute though it wasn't needed since he'd seen both before. "My liege, Brigade Master, may I present Galesen Coldiron, a visitor to our plane from Labyrinth. He requests that you look upon him kindly and allow him to stay, Master Tyyrael but awaits your judgment." Lateef merely nudged Galesen forward and closed the door, remaining back against it.
Tyyrael had stiffened when Kieran mentioned he'd brought someone up and then that someone entered the room and the Brigade Master stood, a rather imposing and intimidating presence and studied the young elf that was shown into the room, crossing his arms over his chest. He could tell by his bearing and dress that he was young, though elven in every sense of the word. His eyes were not worldly or wise enough for him to be anything more than an adult if he was that. Steel blue eyes raked up and down Galesen's slight form and he quirked an eyebrow. "Is that true?" Then he paused and glanced back at Kieran before demanding, "Galesen Coldiron, why have you come to our plane and how long do you plan to stay?"

Arthur smiled just a little bit as he watched Lateef, the man was kind but he still had to think things over about him, though the older elf was probably doing the same thing about Arthur as well. "Even though it's your job I still thank you, to have someone like you take thier time and explain everything to me is much appreciated." Though he waited calmly so he could enter the doors to Kieran's office, they had to let through this so it might as well be now right?
So when Lateef entered the door Arthur followed through when allowed to, he then stood quietly as the older elf introduced himself to the two who were already in the room, when he was finally nudged forward Arthur stepped up and gave the formal salute to the Brigade elf as he felt the man looking over him, judging him slightly before talking to him. "Yes it is true Brigade Master." He said in a calm voice before he listened in on the next question, he hoped that this guy would let him stay. "I came to your plane to get an operation done on my left eye that is blind, but also before I do take this operation I would like to go see some of Andal first. I plan to stay after my operation a little more so I can learn how to go about with both eyes again, then I'll head down to the Underdark once it is all done." Well that's all he could actually say, would the man allow him to stay? He hoped that the Brigade Master would let him.

"Yes, but some of us are our own lackeys." A good natured chuckle at that before standing as well as Lateef came in bringing Arthur. He personally found it funny that they were so formal on Arthur...then again his origins and such demanded another look over....and Tyyrael just liked to screw with people too to get his chuckles.
He managed Arthur a 'buck it up lad' look from where he was but that was all the support he had given and merely lightly rested his arms behind his back. Okay it was indeed a tad amusing. "Master Tryyael, this may not be Council time, but if you feel it better to give him guard then I offer no objection. Isleandra Rainsong has offered her responsibilities, but we both know how the girl is. I think Coldiron is the one that would need the protecting, not Andal." A good natured chuckle on that note. Though he did call attention to himself from Tyyrael. "The Depths." Felt the need to substitute in the word just in case.

Tyyrael was every inch the stern and unforgiving Brigade Master at this moment in time. He appraised Galesen with icy eyes and merely listened to his explanation with a quirked brow. Not unbending in the least he nodded. "Flesh threading. A rather painful thing but a noble wish." He would assume that all the details of it had been worked out beforehand or Galesen would have no business coming up here.
"Very well. I'll allow you to stay, provided you fulfill all requirements and obey all rules. Break them and you'll deal with me." He had to hold in a chuckle about Isle though. She'd be talking Galesen into the most dangerous things in a matter of moments. "I think I have suitable guards for him. I'll assign him to Arhylia and Vaalessen." He paused for a moment and hten nodded. "Then you'll be comfortable with Vaalessen. He's Obsidian, Requias of course but as dark as any from The Depths. I'll send them over later this afternoon." Turning back to Kieran. "Is there anything more you have need of my Lord?"

Arthur blinked and saw Kieran looking at him, taking the elf's advice he 'bucked up' to present himself a little better. Though he was a bit upset to find out that he was going to be assigned a guard, though the reason had made him raise an eyebrow but then he had to grin, he knew Isle could be a little wild but not this wild for Arthur to have a guard with him. So he had to laugh a little bit which of course resulted in him coughing a few times, damn surface air. Though when Tyyrael spoke about flesh threading Arthur gave a small nod and smiled a little again, at least the elf understood why he was here.
Though of course when the Brigade Master told him about following the rules he nodded his head lightly and said. "Of course Brigade Master I understand." He did, and if Arthur broke the rules he would pay for it of course, he didn't want to leave Isle or Kieran hanging dry to suffer for his actions. But when the Master told him which guard he be getting he nodded and smiled lightly. "Thank you again Brigade Master." He said with a light smile, well at least everything went well, he just hooped he could go to bed the light is killing him right now.

Kieran blinked in surprised manner to Tyyrael. An ranked an Obsidian into the Crest Brigade. That was news to Kieran but he didn't question the elf on the bit of news, merely nodded his head and smiled in that way that Kieran smiled when good things passed for the betterment of all involved. In this case, Andal herself. "Sounds quite reasonable Master Tyyrael. Galesen shall be staying here as my guest, so you may just send them here where they shall be recieved with open arms as always."
But he brought a hand to the front and gave a gesture of decline. "No, Master, that is all unless you have more need of me at this present time. If not then I wish you a safe trip back to the Torea. Would you like me to show you out?" After all, that meant he didn't have to be idle and he could prepare the long defensive speech he had going in his head more for when Ahkallyn found out about Arthur.

"You won't need to worry about that, Galesen. My guards will keep you in line, you can be sure of that. And for that reason you might not want to be thanking me just yet." He gave a smile to Kieran and nodded. "Indeed. I would appreciate that very much, Kieran. Lateef, always a pleasure."
Lateef nodded as well and gave him a smile, then opened the door. "Don't be too long, Kieran." Thus waiting until the other two were out the door he turned back to Galesen and grinned, "Well you passed your first test here on Andal. Now then, since you are not used to our sunshine or our weather, I assume you'd like to rest up a bit before taking on the rest of our lovely plane, yes?"
Nodding he gestured for Galesen to follow him once again and led him back to the East corridor where he left him at the door to his room. "Here we are. Get yourself some rest and allow yourself time to acclimate properly to our climate. My daughter needs her rest as well since her state is rather upsetting right now but I'm sure you'll be up and about in no time. If you have need of anything, just let me know. Any questions before I leave you be?"

Arthur nodded lightly to the older elf and smiled, it seemed that the Master may actually be a kind man, though he may not show it too much when other were around so Arthur let it go. So the elf had to wait until the elder elves were gone and he was now finally seeing a happy Lateef which warmed his spirits a little bit. "Thanks, I'm glad that I was able to pass, for a second there I thought I said the wrong thing that would be sending me back down below at least." A chuckle to that before he gave a light nod to Lateef, he was already starting to like the man bit by bit. "Yes please Lateef my eye seem to be bothered a lot by the light, plus with the mixture of smells it seems to be giving me quiet a headache..." Though of course he felt worse but he wasn't going to admit to the other things that were wrong about his body.
So they both took off from Kieran's office, heading back to the East corridor and they were now standing in front of Arthur's 'new' room for the next little while. "Don't worry Lateef I'll be getting all the rest I need, it may look like I may actually be use to your climate but I'm way far off from being even remotely consider good. Though I hope that your daughter is back on her feet in no time, but knowing her I shouldn't have to worry now do I?" A small smile to that, he couldn't laugh or he may end up coughing all over Lateef. "Alright then thank you very much again, but as for questions I have at least one..." A small paused before he said was he was going to say, he was having a hard time breathing after all. "For my weapon, the katana I carry, when I get better is it okay if I carry it around or since I have the guards looking go over me I have to put it away?" A simple question really, Arthur didn't travel anywhere without his sword and didn't want to leave it some where so that someone can take it.

Knowing Arthur was in good hands, he took his time in walking Tyyrael to the palace's main entrance. "An Obsidian in the ranks of the Crest Brigade. Does my ears well to hear such a thing. I hope the venture proves most wonderous and fruitfull for you my friend." Turning to him, givng him again salute and slight bow. "Sweet water and light laughter till next we meet Master Tyyrael."
Giving a slight chuckle. "Please, do not worry yourself. Things will be well and you will not see me, nor a Rainsong in your cells. Honestly D'vinn refused to let him come at first...he'd being given a chance. Hopefully he will do well on it."

Tyyrael nodded and smiled, "I told you things weren't as bad as they seemed. I felt that the Brigade should show support to you so we're on a trial basis but I've met the lad and he seems to be just fine. I don't foresee any problem and he and Lhia get along fairly well too. I'll send them over when I return to headquarters. Though there is always a space for you there if you ever should need it." He gave a smile and clasped Kieran's shoulder. "Same to you. Don't let yourself lose faith Kieran. I stand behind you as firm as I did the day you took the throne." And with those words he was gone. Translocation was such a wonderful thing sometimes.
Lateef smiled and shook his head. "Your weapons, whatever they may be, are yours to carry around and use at your own discretion. Andal is a peaceful plane so using htem requires care but you are free to carry them in plain sight. One always needs to be prepared. Now then, Galesen, I do believe Lord D'vinn sent you something to help with that. If not, we have a few potions that might do the trick but first, reverie for you and then later we'll discuss such things. Sweet memories, Galesen." Thus Lateef went off to await Kieran's return to his study.
