((Actually it is, anyone who's point of view would be within 2 feet of your head cannot see it. Or I guess if 2 feet of your head would cut off their line of sight. ))

The Rock fired, and the creature lifted up his hands before him, one over the other, palms outward. He braced his feet as he saw the rock coming in. He tried to raise a barrier, but was just a bit too late, the shimmering silver light appearing after the rock had cleared the mark, slamming into his right arm, glancing off, and clattering to the floor beyond without a sound.

The creature drew it's arms back, puffed out it's chest, and silently stamped its feet at the audacity of this, this, thing! To dare to strike at him?!

As the overpowering smells of the factory were covered and disregarded by the cyber brain, you could pick out an individual scent, one that smelled almost like bad meat, or good cheese. Coming from in front of you, though it was hard to pinpoint where it was other than the approximate location of the creature.

((So I guess now I have a question about the nature of the spell. Is it designed to block vision, or create a ball of darkness around a person? I'm mainly wondering because it would be wonderful if I could see with my cybernetic eye. I figure that magic wouldn't affect robotic parts the same way that other parts would be affected.))

((Darkness. As per the D&D first level spell "Globe of Darkness" Magical Darkness. No infravision, light aplification, thermal, infrared, etc. ))

((Oh. Oh god. This isn't good. XD I wonder if I have an adequate counter to this. I take it that this spell eventually runs out?))

Well, the scent was a big help. He now had a direction. Xallen continued to back up, clearly attempting to draw this foe away from the factory in order to make his scent easier to distinguish. However, thanks to his tendrils, with time, Xallen would only get more familiar to this scent and it would be able to track more precisely. He hoped that this thing was a melee fighter. Xallen raised his arms instinctively in front of his face, since between that and his stomach, his head was clearly more important. Hopefully the scent would get more precise, and used in tandem with his cyberbrain, completely allow him to identify the monster's location, without the monster knowing of course.

((Thus why I was hoping a full team would come after him, as you can see.))

The creature's indignant fit died down soon enough. And he recovered to see his quarry trying to sneak away. The coward. How dare he attack, then try to flee the scene?!

No respect, no respect at all.

Well, he'd show him.

He held out his right hand towards the alien subject, body aligned with his outstretched limb. There the blades formed. Typical mage fare, elemental shards, two types mixed in in this case, three blades that seemed to be made of some silvery light, and two that were made of darkness.

He nodded his head slightly, and the blades sped away from his hand, the silver blades aiming for the creature's head inside that sphere of darkness, the dark blades aiming for its chest.

Alm got off of Argas as he arrived at the factory, motioning for Tormenta to follow. As the vampire got off, Alm would mutter the words, "Break the bond of Argas" returning the beast to it's original realm. The building seemed eerily quiet, but the lights were on. This is curious...Why are the lights on if nothings even going on inside?

Just then he heard a few skittering sounds and decided it would be best to scout the place out first. He whispered, cautiously, "Fearsome beasts across the land, appear now at my command. Lias." A dark brown bat, barely one foot from wingtip to wingtip, appeared before Alm. Wasting no time, he telepathically commanded the creature to scout the area out, being sure to check for anything unusual going on inside.

((Well, I know when I'm in over my head. XD Time to try to run.))

The scent stopped moving toward him, which probably meant one thing: he was preparing an attack. Where the attack was aimed, he had little idea. He had to assume that it aimed for his vital parts. Of course, this meant that he began to move very erratically. He could only hope this creature didn't have precise aim. Xallen ducked, in order to minimize his target area, and still used his robotic arm to cover his head. At this point, he was struck with both of the dark blades, which had been aimed lower on his body. Fortunately the silver blades flew over his head. However, the dark blades both hit his robotic arm, one piercing the forearm and another piercing the bicep. It was painless, but still not a good sign.

At that point, Xallen hoped that his foe also could not see him. But then, even if he could, his tactic here would not change. He sprinted back the way he came, hoping to leave the warehouse. His shoulder thrusters activated, allowing him to dash forward with tremendous speed that he doubted anyone could match. In addition, his leg thrusters also were activated in spurts, causing him to randomly jump high into the air and go back down again as he fled. He would also push off the ground with one leg when he jumped, in order to give some sideways motion as he dashed away.

((EDIT: YES!!! Someone to distract the creature while I run away!))

The only sound was of Xallen's flight. Beaten, humiliated. As he left the area of the factory, the darkness finally lifted. Seems he must have drifted too far away from the creator for him to maintain control.

That just left the creature, in an open, lighted factory, standing right in the open. As a bat flew in...

His eyes locked onto the bat, and he wondered curiously about it. There was no sound here. Everything was silent. There was no way for it to 'see'. No sonic vibrations would occur. Magical Silence. It was an awesome thing.

He slowly raised a hand to track its flight, wondering if he should shoot it down anyway.

An eyebrow rose as the vampire slid off of the creature and onto the ground. Tormenta, too, could tell that something was not quite right, and his hand reached for the hilt of his sword. Sure, he wasn't a brilliant sword fighter, but it was better than rain. ...Rain? This line of thought gave Tormenta an idea.

"Almarech," he whispered, so that only the mage could hear him. "If anything is in there, we must draw it out into the open. And if any storms start, stay close to me."

((Another question. How far away was I when the darkness lifted? Seems like it'd be something I'd immediately take care to notice.))

((So if he returned, the spell still wouldn't take effect? XD My ally just came online so we're thinking about it...))

((No, if he came back it wouldn't manifest again. Unless the creature decided to hit you with it again.))

((Dude...that sucks....My trump card is down. Oh well, have at thee!))

Lias would spot nothing using echolocation and return to its master, perching on Alm's shoulder. Disquieted by this, though he knew he heard sounds, Alm proceeded inside. Tormenta's advice sounded good, draw whatever the hell was in here out in the open.

On a split decision, Alm decided he should not just assume that whatever is in here is evil and yelled to the building's mystery occupant, "If anyone is in here, I'd like to chat. If you're a creature of evil, then we can still chat...I don't really care for titles," this was a blatant lie as Alm is very proud of his title of master of runic magic. He took a few more slow steps forward before speaking again, "So come out into the open and let's be civilized about this." Alm placed his right thumb against his middle finger, charging up a precautionary spell.

He spoke. He draw attention. The creature started staring at the point in the wall where Alm would be, in relation to him. His hand raised up, and he soundlessly snapped his fingers again. ((There has never been a sound inside the Factory, by the way, but I figured the 'noises' were those of Xallen outside the silence running away))

Alm's bid for Parlay would quickly be answered by the laying to two quick spells upon him. One that Xallen had the misfortune of seeing, a Sphere of Darkness centered over Alm. However, without being able to see him, he couldn't lock it only the Rune Mage, instead just forming a 15' sphere around where the voice came from.

The second, was an overlapping Aura of Silence, magically deadening all sound inside the sphere.

The creature seemed to take a deep breath inside the factory. He could still be seen about 20 feet in from the doorway, gathering himself together.
