Chapter Two
***I had been living with the Banes for a little over a month now, and I felt as if I had been living with them since birth. My wounds had healed up nicely. Only traces of scars remained.
“How many are coming tonight Granny?”
Granny was the woman who has taken care of me when I first arrived at the Banes Covenant. Her real name was Mart Ann Banes, but very few people called her by it.
“Around eleven, deary.”
Granny never called Adrian. I ‘m not sure why.
“Then I will make enough for seventeen or eighteen. Just to be on the safe side.”
“Sounds good”
I had been working in the kitchen to help pull my weight around the house. Since coming to the Banes Covenant I had undergone a blood transfusion and a corrective eye surgery. I don’t know why they went though all that trouble to save be but I was forever in their debt.
***People were always coming in and out of the Covenant. Granny and I would always make more that=n enough food because of the possibility of more showing. I had met the Young master a few times. He like to be called by his last name of Bane. I would be too if my first name was Alphonse, but who can complain with the last name like White.
***As friends and family of the Banes set in I suddenly got an immense headache. I had been getting these headaches daily. I tried to hide them but Granny could see right through me and always told me to go and rest. She also mentioned some time off due to my approaching birthday. Yes, my sweet sixteen was just around the corner. Little did I know it was going to be a bit bigger than I had hoped.
***The week passed and my birthday was now a day away. The pain in my head was so bad that even death sound like a sweet relief. Not to mention the 103 degree temperature that sprouted early this morning. But that was not going to stop me from having fun at the party the whole covenant put on for me. Technically my birthday was not till tomorrow but they said why wait, and have to call it off because I was sick. They had a point so I just went along with it. Everyone was so nice. We all had cake, played pin the tail on the donkey, and many other random games. I even got presents from people I did not know. Granny got me a new apron for the kitchen. It was grey, patterned with a black and red dragon. I thanked granny with a kiss and she knew that I loved it.
***After the jubilation, I thanked ever one for coming. My headache had dulled but slightly and my fever was not letting up. I headed to bed and hoped I would feel better in the morning.
***I was enjoying sleep up until I was awakened by a sharp pain in my right arm. I opened my eyes and the pain was not going away. Looking over I saw a needle protruding from my arm. Who had stuck the needle in me, and why me? Now my eyes focused on looking up at the intruder, were in shock of who I saw...Bane.
“What are you doing!” I yelled in fright
Bane just sat focused on me.
“Stop! Tell me what you are doing Bane!” terror had now taken over.
“Relax, I am speeding the transformation.” he replied overly calming.
“Transformation! What trans...”
It hit me like a bullet in the back of the head. My muscles started to contract and my breath was taken.
“Relax,” he said once more, “the pain will go away momentarily.”
I looked at him and he just stared back as if he had seen this happen many times before. I had breath but just for a moment and with it I screamed.
“Bane, what’s happening to me!”

Sorry for the wait but I am having a hard time wit chapter three. I can't get the trasformation details just right. Plus I am in the middle of a major wrighters cramp. I hope to have a bunch of new chapters by the time I post again.
