Ren-ten was shocked by the neko's calmness, to be honest he wasn't fully sure if the neko even cared about him. But no, that wasn't true, he woudln't put doubts in his head about Ritsuka after knowing him for so long. That was just dumb. Either he was glad that Ritsuka was cleaning up, and he even seemed to be trying to be polite and hold his hunger so he didn't look rude. Ah, he really was luckly Ren-ten thought with a smile, but for now, he'd have to focus on his mother...and why she was here, she never visited! "So mom, what are you doing here?" he questioned as he sat down in between Ritsuka and his mother at the table. Ren-ten's mother grabbed a spring roll and promptly chewed on it, but other than that seemed unwilling to eat all of her son's food at all. His mother was always like that, it wasn't much of a shock, she never would let him get her anything either. Ren-ten meanwhile pushed forward one of the boxes to Ritsuka and gave him a smile and nod to go ahead and dig in. "Well, your sister just got a month or so ago, as you know, and she's expecting her first child soon. So I wanted to see how my son's life was coming along, speaking of which, got a nice girlfriend?" she questioned with a michevious smile, always the digging type of mother for sure. "Uh...no, I've had a couple...but I'm still looking" Ren-ten replied as he munched on some noodles. Which was half true, he didn't find a female that he wanted to marry...a male neko though.

Ritsuka glanced at the food, suddenly not feeling so hungry. The small neko swayed a bit, blinking away the dizzyness. His head swirled and a headache beat against the back of his eyes and throbbed against his temples. His stomach unsettled. twisting and knotting with hunger but revolting at the sight of the food. Gripping his stomach, he fought away the upcoming nausea, feeling the burning in his chest and his throat shortening and tightening quickly. Ritsuka glanced up at Renten, returning his smile with a weak, half-hearted grin and upset eyes. Looking down at the white box of noodles, he picked up a fork and hesitated slightly. Putting down the fork, he just resorted to staring at the white box while listening to the conversation. His mother had mentioned Renten's sister. Ritsuka remembered her. Always smiling, giggling, or wanting to play. Ritsuka heard the word girlfriend, looking up a bit puzzled. Looking towards Renten, it finally clicked and he quickly looked back down at his food. Ritsuka couldn't help but find the situation hilarious. His mother might not have been very observant of her son's attire that had a rainbow sewed on every single piece of clothing,but she surely would've noticed who he was going on dates with. Hearing Renten, Ritsuka clapped ahand over his mouth to keep from laughing, looking at the two with his head still bowed towards the table.

Ren-ten glanced over at Ritsuka, he didn't touch the box or anything around him, Ren-ten was puzzled. It was pretty much impossiable for Ritsuka to not eat something every hour. Sometimes even when they were younger, Ren-ten would wake up to find Ritsuka sleep eating. The whole thing had grown so serious taht Ren-ten worried it was a disorder, but the docters had just said it honestly was that the neko had a high tolerance for food, as one of them put it. Ren-ten normally would have felt his lover's head, and then carried him off to the bedroom and took care of him. But no, because of his current situation he was stuck sitting in a chair untill his mother passed out from a full stomach and her need for sleep. It'd be about another half hour at least, since she could eat pretty fast as well, she was, by the way, a human, no ears, the ears were from his father's side. "So anyway, I was thinking since you don't have a girlfriend, and you don't appear to be too busy with school, that you could go and meet this lovely girl I brought with me?" she asked, it was almost auidable when Ren-ten gulped...but there was no food in his mouth. Ren-ten was worried now, the women that his mother knew usually were extremely good looking, but all the more....intense once his mother left. He had been set up on a number of blind dates, and one thing he knew from expreience was that no wasn't a word in his mother's mind. "Erm....alright...sure...." he said slowly, his stomach growling for food as well, but his head was too worried that he'd throw it up because he would definatly be drinking tonight. "Great! Meet her at the club around campus tonight in two hours" his mother replied as she finished off a bit of rice and then stood up, heading over to the sink to clean off her dishes, though she hardly ate.

Ritsuka was glad that there was no further conversation about him living with Renten, relieved that he wouldn't have to lie anymore. As the conversation progressed, Ritsuka could pick out each and every lie Renten told either by his tone of voice or personally knowing the truth to that question. His stomach was still upset, but Ritsuka attempted to choke down an egg roll. His throat was dry, and almost found himself suffocating on each bite of food he took. He listened cautiously to the conversation, keeping his head down and eyes concealed by his hair. He didn't want to give everything away, and be scolded later on. Sighing, his ears twitched at girlfriend once again. With his eyes peering up through his veeling hair, he galnced from th woman then over to his lover, almost choking. Then her last bit of words is what enraged him the most. She'd already set up the date without Renten's consent! Ritsuka slammed his palms against the table, silverware clattering against the glass by the sheer force. "Excuse me, I'm not feeling too well. I think I'll take a walk." he muttered angrily through gritted teeth. Not even bothering to pick up his plate, he climbed to his feet amazingly quick, striding towards the door. Ritsuka grabbed his jacket and thrust his arms into the sleeves. Opening the door, Ritsuka left without any word of where he was going or when he was coming back.

"Damnit Ritsuka" Ren-ten muttered underneth his breath as the door closed behind him. Ritsuka didn't know how much things were complicated with his mother, it wasn't just the fear of his mother freaking out. It was that he was supposed to be the man of the relationship, his father had died because....because he was gay. The thought was angering him so much that he had to leave immdately and explain to Ritsuka everything that was going on. He remained calm for his mother while he stood up and walked over to her, giving her a hug. "Is your friend alright?" she asked worried to him and Ren-ten nodded his head as he smiled "He's just got a lot on his mind, now you, go ahead and rest, I'm sure you've still got some jet-lag, I'll finish up" he said. She nodded and walked over to the bed, she was asleep by the time that he had finished cleaning up. He sighed as he stood by the sink, closing his eyes for a moment before he stood up fully and then walked towards the door. He needed to explain it all to Ritsuka...then maybe he'd understand why things were so difficult and fragile in his family life. He grabbed a black hoodie, slipping it over his thin body as he headed out to find where the hell Ritsuka had left to.
