I don't need to pay $1200 for a prosthesis that does its job and looks decent doing it. The guy might be a professional prosthetist, and that's wonderful, but there are erotic toy companies out there that make "realistic" dicks that look and work just fine...if they were about 30% smaller.
The technology is there. The demand is there. They're just not giving it to us. We should not be forced to pay over a grand for something that's not that hard to make for a tenth of the price or less.

I did find a realistic one that is sold in Australia. Its really expensive, and involves no harness. It can be used as a flaccid packer or for sex. Not sure what the website is but it seems like alot of guys are giving it the thumbs up.
ETA: I've been trying to think of possibly making a prosthetic that is powered by hydraulics. It would make for a cheaper one. I'm not sure how realistic it would be. There are some decent pack & play dicks out there. Not of the best quality, but not that bad.

I think that perhaps the obscenely high price could have something to do with the fact that he pretty much has a monopoly going there, or so it seems. He sets the price, and according to the feedback letters he posts (some of which state that they think they're worth every penny), people pay it. Trust me, I'm just as hopeful as you are when it comes to getting a good, realistic product at a reasonable price. Most of us, including myself, don't have a thousand or so spare bucks lying around gonk

I assume you're talking about ftmprosthetics.com, or a similar site. I haven't gotten one, but I have say it looks like it's worth it and am looking forward to getting one eventually. It's not a toy, it's a prosethic, and like any real prosethic, is designed to be completely invisible. The guy does like 15 different skin shades so you can get one that looks exactly like it belongs on you. I doubt you could find a d***o maker (and yes, that's what those toys are) who makes their product in more than 3 colors, which, odds are, don't look right on you. And try to find a d***o that has hair. I bet most men outside of the porn industry don't shave their pubes, and I for one, don't want to either. Some nice hair on my prosethic which helps it blend in with mine is awesome. Not to mention the fact that you adher it to your body instead of using a harness. Prosthetic >> d***o Adhesive >>>>>> Strap-on Oh yes, and d***o's smell bad. That's one of the main reason this guy's products are expensive. It's made with odorless silicon, which is an expensive material. But any good prostethic has to be made out of it, unless you wanna smell. I think it's worth it. I mean, who needs SRS when you have a prosethic this good? And I guarentee it's cheaper than SRS with a much better appearance. Why complain about $1,200 when SRS is like $40,000? I'd rather have a prosethic p***s than a phalioplasty p***s, it looks so much better. And no, I'm not telling you which is the bio-male and which is the trans-man. You'll have to check the site or guess.

I appreciate the input about ftmprosthetics.com, because I haven't been keeping up recently with much, and I was out of the loop on that one. I'm more than willing to put the money into that.

I respect the fact that what that man does is custom and well-done work, but for people who plan to get top and bottom surgeries, it's a price that is pretty much too high to pay. This kind of prosthetic is made more for people who do not plan to have a bottom surgery, which leaves those men who do out of luck yet again, unless they have the money to spare between therapy, Testosterone, a mastectomy, a possible hysterectomy, and their eventual phalioplasty. I for one am in no way wealthy, and am trying to save every penny in anticipation of my transition; a $1,200 p***s is out of my price range. I just want something I can use until I get my complete surgery, and that is the reason I signed this petition. Right now it seems as if there are only high-end and low-end products; something in the middle would be good for everyone involved, I think.

You failed to mention that EACH prosthesis are CUSTOM MADE for each order. You want lots of veins? You got it. Every prosthetic is custom made to your liking.
