7:50 pm Another journal, another chapter in my life. One thing ends, another begins. I wonder what new possibilites are hiding just behind the horizen? What could I find when the curtain is lifted? More friends, more enemies, more adventures? One thing is for certain, only time will tell.
I, Raine Storms, am a would-be authoress. As of today, I'm fifteen, and I am ready to start this new chapter of my life. You, journal, were given to me as a gift from my friend Rai earlier today. Is this a sign? Is he to play an important role in this new chapter? Perhaps. Or maybe he just has a fettish with giving me things. Anyways, I have just finished Bram Stoker's Dracula, so after this entry I think I'll write all of my journal entries in story-format. It'll be good practice for my book.
I stare at the thing sitting by you on my desk. Rai said he'd found it at a small shop a ways from here. It's a small antique pendant with a blue stone set in center. It's very pretty, and I intend to wear it everywhere. I basically have to anyways. Whenever I'm apart from it, I think about it constantly. Imagine going through life with your mind constantly focused on a silly pendant.
I glance over at Jeremie. He nods approvingly. Oh, I never did introduce you to Jer, did I? Jer is my one of my dearest friends, and my closest stuffed confident. He's my brown teddy bear. He keeps me company when Rai's off with his jerky older friends.
Who's Rai? Oh dear me, I must be getting older already. Rai is my friend's older brother. My parents are on a extened buisness trip to Venezuala, but they said I couldn't tag along. Luckily Mari saved the day by offering to let me stay in her brother's new house. The only thing is that Mari's not staying with us. She's staying a few towns over. Figures, huh? I don't really have that good of a history with him. He can be a real jerk. But he's trying to be nicer now that he's stuck with me, so it's all cool.
So now I'm waiting for a call from my friend, Krysti. Anything to brighten my day. And so one chapter of my life ends, and I have a feeling that another is just about to begin.

4:18 pm I wanted to write in you over the weekend, but I didn't have a chance to. Nier kept me busy from sun-up to sun-down. Rai's never around much, so I don't think he noticed my absences. I have come to a final conclusion.
I still love Nier.
All this time apart had made me forget why I even liked him in the first place. He's kind, generous, funny... He's absolutely perfect, and he loved my pendant. I don't think I'll ever take it off. After so long, he still calls me Rainedrop. I'm suprised that he's still interested in me after so long, but you know what they say. Never look a gift horse in the mouth. He left earlier today to go to the airport, but he said that he was coming over on Thursday again. I can hardly wait. My heart feels strangely light, as if a huge boulder has been lifted off of it. This is the best I've felt since I first came here. Oh God, please make it be Thursday already...

After knocking on the door, Keona ran off, so as not to be seen when the owner of the house found her note and gift. The Note Dear Raine, You have been doing a fabulous job of raising Tariku! I was shopping and found this cute gift for him. I hope he likes it! Sincerly, Keona.

6:35pm Something amazing happened! Krysti had recieved a pendant from the same place Rai had gotten mine, and it turned into a baby girl! No joke! This is pure craziness. I asked Rai about it, he said that some store clerk had given it to him. She had said that it would turn into a baby, but he thought that was an advertising gimick. I never would have believed it either, but now I can't help but wonder if it's true. I guess the only thing I can do is wait and find out!
In other news, my story isn't going so well. I'm trying to gather some inspiration, but it's not really working well. I'll have a lot of time to think about it, however, since Rai's never home to bother me. His older friends creep me out, but hey, I can't rule his life, eh? Besides, I only see them when they come over to Rai's house. Well, I have to wrap this entry up, because my story calls. I'll see you later!

10:56 am Arg. Nier had to cancel thursday. His little brother had a soccer game that he couldn't miss. I know Nier loves his brother, but it still stings. Oh well, I guess this is God's way of telling me that I'm supposed to be acting more like a writer and less like a hormonal teenager. I just wish God would tell me where to start in my story. It seemed like a good idea when I first started it, but now it seems like too difficult a task to handle. I'll still keep trying though. Maybe inspiration will pop up where I least expect it.
In other news- I'm keeping an eye on the pendant. Now that I'm paying active attention to it, it seems to shift every two hours or so. It's very subtle, but it's pretty hard to miss. I'm starting to think that shopkeeper was right. I'll have to get Rai to bring me there sometime. It's only a short drive away, but knowing Rai, I'll probably end up walking. One good thing has happened though, Rai didn't come home last night. He probably stayed the night with one of his friends. Who knows when he'll get back. I guess that means that we have the whole place to ourselves. Well, later and out. I'm going to try and work with rough-drafting some of my major scenes.

4:18 pm More news from Krysti! She's named her little girl Raven. Sergei hasn't heard of it yet, so I wonder what he'll think. Oh, right, I haven't introduced Sergei to you yet. Well, Sergei is Krysti's boyfriend back in Russia. He's scary tall and very intimidating, but Krysti says he has a big heart. I don't know about that, but I guess I'll have to trust Krysti's word. He was really quiet for the entire time I saw him. I guess he's one of those gentle giant types.
Rai came home really late last night. I wouldn't have even heard him, but I was staying up working. It's really hard work trying to write a novel. My newest problem is introducing my characters. It's also really hard for me to create realistic motivation. I've been putting off working, but now's as good a time as ever to start working on it.
In other news- My pendants been dormant lately. It only shifts every four or five hours. Is this a sign? Is it good or bad? My curiousity is building. If Rai is in a good mood tomorrow then I'll ask him to take me to the shop.

12:03 pm More on Raven: She has black hair with red tips. I'm not sure those tips are natural, but that what Krysti says. That sure would be hard to do with genetics. I mean, every time your hair grew, the tips woudl get longer and longer. What would happen when you had to get a hair cut? When you cut off the tips, the rest of your hair isn't just going to compensate for it by changing colors. Hm.. Maybe I got my information wrong.
Here's a little exert from my life...
Carnivorous roars echoed thoughout the room. The scientist whirled and turned to face hus prey. He cocked the muzzle of his gun at the creature, the setting set to "Tranquilizer." The adolesent raptor screeched for help, but was suddenly cut off as Raine's hand collided with the top of the alarm clock. "I've got to change that back to the herbivores," the girl muttered sullenly as she hauled herself out of bed. Walking over to the closet, she slipped her regular clothes on.
Suddenly, a thought struck her on the head like a utahraptor's egg. She ran over to the clock and tipped it upwards. "Darn, it's already seven o'clock!" She threw open the door to her room and barreled across the hallway. She screeched to a halt and peeked inside a bedroom. "Nope, already up," she commented to herself before continuing on her hunt.
Raine had almost reached the kitchen door, when her socks slipped on the cold wooden floor. Luckily, her hands saved her from a painful fall. With a determined air, the girl picked herself back up and flung open the kitchen door. When she entered the kitchen, however, it was already empty, save for a slice of toast steaming on a plate on the counter. Raine sighed. She had just missed him. Sighing to herself, Raine crossed the room and grabbed her toast. She'd just have to wait until later.
Yep, when I woke up, Rai was already gone. That little story was just a little thing to spare me my boredom. As usual, Rai didn't come home for lunch, so I guess I'm just going to have to wait until he gets back to ask him. I really want to go to the shop, but I guess I just woke up too early for Mr. Lion. Argness.
In other news- This pendant has barely been shifting at all. I've caught it twice today. Once at 7:38am and again at 11:45am. It's not that it's irregular, but when it shifts, you can barely see it at all. Before it had always been so obvious, but now it seems to be more my imagination than anything else. I'll have to ask that shopkeeper when I see her. Later and out, from Raine.

How odd? Your pendant has seemed to become deathly still, even the light reflecting against the stone changes nothing. It's eerie the way it keeps it's look and doesn't change even as it's surroundings do. Then, small cracks appear in the gem, light gleaming through. In a loud explosion the whole thing bursts open in a show of lights. After the dust settles, you find a baby, with the gem, in perfect condition, around it's neck.

Krysti crept up to Rai's door and knocked. She gently placed an egg and a note infront of the door, before walking away.Krysti's Note Raine- This egg will grow into a little girl. I brought her to be a playmate for Tariku. News travels fast. Come join us at the jewelry shop sometime. I want to have him meet little Raven. -Krysti

8:32 pm Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness! My pendant turned into a little boy about an hour ago!! This is crazy... Well, I've named him Tariku, and I've already made a little "nest" for him in my closet. I cdon't think I'm going to tell Rai about this just yet. He might get a little mad, or not believe me. Now that might be ackward... Something really weird happened as well. Someone from the jewelry shop (named Keona) left me a note and a present. It was a really cute little toy that I gave Tariku. When I put it in his arms, he immediatly squealed "KeeKee", so that's what I'm going to call it. It's really cute, and I took a picture of it to put in the back of this journal. I can't wait until I can go to the jewelry shop.
More on Tariku (which is a very very cute name, by the way!):
He has royal blue hair and a tiny bump on his nose. When I found him, he hadmy pendant around his neck, and I've been letting him wear it. He hasn't opened his eyes yet, so I don't know what color they are. He has a smooth complexion, and is over all the essence of cuteness!

1:56 pm Tariku moved his fist 5 inches! Wohoo!! You go get 'em, baby! What is that I'm feeling? Could it be motherly pride? All I know is that my little gangster's growing up so fast! Soon I can let him loose on Chicago! That is....once I get back to Illinois...
Actually, I really would rather that my little ganster not get all ganged up. I want Tariku to live a long happy life. I've managed to just barely keep my little gangster out of Rai's sight. Luckily, I'm pretty sure he doesn't make a habit of raiding younger girl's closets. Closets owned by girls his age should still be wary though - he is a guy after all (and a jerk at that!). We had out daily War of the Words and, as usual, Rai won. I think he's getting suspicious as to why I'm not wearing my pendant. I can't bear to take it from Tariku, so I guess I'll have to wear a shirt with a really high collar tomorrow....

10:47 am Sorry I didn't update in you yesterday. It was a really hectic day. I begged Rai so much that he promised to take me out with his friends soon~ I don't know what day, but it's a start. I can't wait. Anythings better than just staying in this stuffy house all day. I wonder how Tariku would fare on his own though...
The little ganster moved yesterday! Here, I'll put it down as an official recording. Tariku hugged KeeKee at 4:56pm on July 18th, 2005. Yep, pretty cool, huh? I wonder what Rai's friends are like. I hope that they're not as mean as he can be...
In other news: My little ganster's been sleeping most of the time. I've had to sneak milk to him at least five times yesterday. Trust me, it's not easy. Rai hasn't been in a good enough mood for me to ask him yet, so I'll have to put that plan off. The bump on Tariku's nose won't go down. I've tried everything, even to the extent of splashing cold water on his face. I hope he doesn't have a nasal infection. It's really small, but if his nose is broken, I had better go check it out. Too bad the doc lives too far from us. I really wish I could drive...

11:45 pm Krysti left this really weird blue egg thing on my doorstep. It looks kinda demonic... Rai found it and tossed it at me. It almost broke, for crying out loud! Anyways, Krysti says that it's alive. It'll grow up into a little girl. That sounds pretty spiffy to me. She also wants him to meet Raven. I'd say that's cool. Now if only the little ganster's nose could be fixed... The bump feels like bone almost, and that's pretty strange. Tariku's started to cry a lot now whenever he's upset. Before he would just shake his little KeeKee in the air. I sure hope Rai doesn't hear him. Now that would take a lot of explaining to do.
In other news-....my life has been boring, if you don't count my little gangster. I put Krysti's egg on a couple pillows in the closet. Now I really hope Rai never looks there.... Oh, and I called Rick earlier today to ask when he'll be back in town. I only got his answering machine, but hopefully it'll be soon. I don't think Rai's PMSing is going to stop anytime soon. Still no date on the "friends" thing. Rai's been steering clear of me for the most part, which is good, I guess. My story isn't coming along too well though. I've decided to switch and write one of the character's backstory for now. It'll give me a chance to recharge the story-maker part of my brain.
