Kona ran out of her house, tired of doing chores. Worst of all, she had spent her entire morning planting, cooking, washing, and gathering food. Kona was in a very bad mood. She went to the well and got herself a refreshing drink.

"Kona!" Saro whined, running up. "Do'ya know why Aki's being mean? She's acting like she does to everyone else. 'Cause she's normally nice ta us, but she's being mean." she pouted, making Aki, who was within earshot, scoff and go back to her futile attempt to ignore the girl. Saro generally treated Kona like a sister, asking her all her questions, which were many, and thinking she could solve any problem.

Kona panted, gently letting down the pot, "sounds like a bully to me..." It wasn't really the time for Saro to bother her, but what could she do? Acting like a bully is not in Kona's book.

thymeast22 "Do ya want some help with somethin'?" she asked, changing the subject abruptly without realizing it. Kona scratched her head for a moment and wondered if a six year old could carry a pot that a twelve year old almost broke her back over. "Well, I could use some help..." Kona said, pointing to the pot, "take one end of the pot and help me take it to the lake." The park could be seen from where they were standing. But then it hit her... "Turn into a demon. You could carry this pot and I could too." Kona turned into her demon form.

"okay." she said, doing as she was told and taking one end.

thymeast22 "okay." she said, doing as she was told and taking one end. Kona nodded and she started walking. It was a peice of cake to carry the pot to the lake. Soon enough, they were already there. Kona told Saro to let go and Kona filled the pot with water. She felt around her pocket for some cups and grabbed two cups. Kona then filled the cups with water and handed one to Saro.

"Thanks." she said, taking the cup and sipping at the water, looking back the way they had came. "Umm, Kona? Do'ya know why Aki just pinned someone up aginst the tree?" she asked, refering to the man pinned between the tree mentioned and one of Aki's knives, the tip barely pricking his neck.
"Would you like to try that again?" Aki asked sweetly, eyes cold, yet somewhat playful. The man frantically shook his head, causing the dagger to draw a faint line across his throat. She had often been compared to a cat in her habits, such as 'playing' with her prey and relishing in their distress and fear which they emenated.

She had often been compared to a cat in her habits, such as 'playing' with her prey and relishing in their distress and fear which they emenated. "I-i-i..."Kona felt angry as well as scared. Kona and Aki was a few years away. And aki was older than Kona. "I know you're going to want to come with me, so stay behind me. I don't beleive Aki would hurt us, but hey, better safe than sorry right?" Kona was scared, but she was not trying to get Sora scared.
Kona slowly walk toward the tree. Kona felt the sweat dripping off her chin, as she reached out, she looked like she was about to grab the air. Then she called, "Aki! What are you doing to that man? Isn't he a part of this village? Where you not there when we agreed to make peace? I know you may be a cold hearted robber, but could you at least make some peace around here?" Kona shuddered as she freed the man, worrying Aki would strike.

She ignored them, but stepped away, the dagger dissapearing. "Try it again when there's no one to stop you." she said quietly, her voice somewhat mocking, eyes daring him to try whatever he had done again. He glared at her and ran off, after which she spun on Kona. "Yes I was there, and forgive me, but if you grew up with murderers you tend to be a 'cold hearted robber'." she snapped, taking her frusteration out on the girl. "The ba- idiot was drunk and wasn't thinking clearly when he tried to get me in his bed, and he didn't realize I would do more than say 'no'." she explained carefully, catching herself when she noticed Saro and knowing Kona would probably understand the meaning behind her words.

Kona stared at Aki, speechless. She looked at Saro, to see her expression and then looked away. Then she looked at Aki. "I'm sorry..." She muttered, then clutched Saro's hand. Kona pretended that Aki left and stared at the man. It was a stare that was cold, like a dead person looking right at you. The man shuddered, backing away, for Kona's face turning red.
Kona opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something, but didn't. She closed her mouth again and finally said, "Don't do it again. Or we shall pit the warriors against you in the dueling arena..." Kona didn't mean it. The man backed away some more, then ran off. Kona shut her eyes for a while then turned and walked away, holding Saro's hand.

"Kona, he's probably more scared of what I'd do to him than the arena... Your warriors have honor, while I and my thieves rarely obey anything." she said quietly, speaking to Kona's back.
Saro followed, unsure of what had happened. She'd ask in a minute, once Kona had calmed down...

She almost forgot that Sora was walking right behind her. She contunued her walk, stopping to get another drink. Then she turned to Sora. "Did you understand the conversation Aki and I had?" Kona asked, wiping her mouth and putting her cup back in her pocket.

"Not really... All I know is that he tried to do something to Aki, and you both got mad...." she said, hoping Kona would elaborate.
Aki left, shrinking into the shadows of a building when one of the men who always volunteered her for escape plans walked near. Once he was gone she entered another building, writing a small message and pinning it on a bulletin board with other things. This was the thieve's headquarters, where the few jobs they had were given and whatever things the townspeople 'lost' was hidden.

It looked like it was almost nighttime. Her eye color turned into a weak shade of red. "Shoot!" She yelled, digging her nails into her skin until it hurt.
She slightly forgot Sora was there, and Kona walked to her house. Sora slept in their house anyway, so there wouldn't be a chance of Sora getting confused. Kona got rid of her weapons and turned into a human. "Err...stay here, Sora, i'm going to talk a walk..." Then Kona walked off without waiting for Sora's reply.
