Teach someone how to paint? He never thought about how it was that he did it, it just came to him but after a while it came to him about how he could get the colours naturally and he nodded.

"You will need flowers of different kinds and lots of them or you won't get the colours." That was the first part anyway, he then needed to work out how a mortal could learn to paint. It seemed an odd thing for a mortal to want to do!

Lefika nodded eagerly. "Right," she declared, then took off and wiggled on out up the cave mouth. She no longer felt apprehensive leaving Kazi with the boys; she was sure he would do them no harm. Besides, she was on the verge of finding a way to make herself feel free again, even in confinement, and she would not be stopped.

It had been a good, long time since Lefika had been the student rather than the teacher, and Lefika was ready. She forged out into the jungle with grit and determination, allowing nothing to distract her. Her ears were shut to all sound but the threatening, and her steely eyes were squinted and sought flashes of bright color. Now in the process of decorating her home, Lefika had gotten quite good at finding flowers in the jungle, so it was not long before she had gathered a huge boquet of flowers in all sorts of colors. She trotted triumphantly back to the cave with the flowers held in her mouth, and slid easily back down into the cave. She dropped the flowers at Kazi's feet and sat humbly before him. "What am I to do now, m'lord?" she inquired, and awaited instruction.

Kazi had some thinking to do. He didn't know how to make paint he just changed the tones in things with his powers. He didn't have long to think though so he found himself a stick and put a small amount of power in it, just to subtly change the colour to whatever the holder of it wants. It wouldn;t last long what they painted, maybe a day or two but that would be good enough.

As she returned he was close to the cubs working with a large leaf he had found.

"Here take this stick and don't loose it. Its perfect for painting and only a professional can find the right sticks so don't loose it!" He smiled and then moved the leaf a little.

"Choose what colour you want and put all the flowers of that colour on the leaf. Grind the all up with the stick and add a little water, if you can find some. Mix it all together and then with the stick try and paint it on the wall." He hoped it would work. He wasn't really much of a teacher and never would be.

Lefika, still somewhat on guard, was a bit startled to come back to see Kazi so close to her children. Living alone for a long time teaches one to be wary of everything. However, she soon relaxed when she saw Kazi was busy at work, trying to help her. Even the intensity of Kazi's instruction barely phased Lefika. She leaned in without hesitation and took the stick into her claws. "Got it," she said obediantly.

He set the leaf in front of her, and she had to think a moment before she could think of what color she wanted. "Red," she said aloud, though she needn't have announced it. She gathered up the flowers, picking them carefully out of the bundle. Once she had all the red, she did as she was told and ground them up upon the leaf. She took the leaf, held it up to the wall of the cave which dripped with gathered rainwater and condensation, and once the leaf and flowers were well wet, she went back to grinding again, until she had something akin to a paste. She took this, and she ran her stick along the wall of the cave. The color was somewhat washed out, nowhere near as brilliant as the colors which Kazi as made, but it was color nonetheless, and Lefika was delighted. She laughed aloud, well pleased, then set to trying to create form.

Kazi was somewhat shocked and surprised that it worked but he was also happy that it did, imagine what could have been said if it hadn't have worked, how stupid he would have looked and he was the king of the arts, well God but to him God and king was the same thing.

"Make sure you always use that stick, perfect sticks for this kind of thing are hard to come by!" He lied quite blantently about it all but that didn't matter at least he was getting somewhere as she was now painting on the cave walls.

"If you need help teaching your children to paint or anything you can just call me. I can hear my name called no matter where I am, great powers of mine!" He chuckled a little wondering if she would like him to leave now.

Lefika worked fervantly, and soon she had crafted a fairly rough but still satisfactory representation of a sunset. It wasn't just any sunset, though, or at least it wasn't to Lefika; it was the sunset she recalled from the day she had learned she was pregnant with her two beautiful boys. She smiled broadly as she stood back and observed her work on the cave wall.

She listened to Kazi as he instructed her to always use this stick. Part of her suspected he might be lying through his teeth... after all, how hard could it be to find a suitable stick? She couldn't care less, though, and dutifully she tucked the stick behind her ear where she'd always remember where it was. Turning round, she eyed the god with delight and awe. So there were gods, after all. She felt a respect and admiration for the god she couldn't recall having felt for anyone else. And so, she bowed to him to show humility before him, and on rising she said, "Thank you, M'lord Kazi. Thank you for your help." She wasn't so sure she wanted him to be the one to teach her children to paint, however. Lefika thought that as soon as she got the hang of it, she might take this task into her own hands. Her gratitude was great, though.

Kazi was at a loss of what to do now so the best thing he could think of was leaving, after all, that made sense!

"I better leave you to your paintings, I have things that need to be done." Another lie, he never had anything to do but he wasn't needed here and so he wanted to go off and find something naughty or cheeky to do. He had done something nice and it was creeping him out a little, he was a selfish creature who never helped others!

"Er.. have fun painting.. if you need me just call." He smiled and turned himself into the lion body that he loved, his grey pelt and golden and blue mane and his wings gone. Yep he looked as normal as normal could be and he was very happy to do so.

"Bye!" He then rushed off rather quickly before she could even attempt to get him to stay. He bored far too quickly.

Lefika knew Kazi was leaving. She could hear him making his hasty farewells. She could hear the anxious scuffling of his paws as he darted off. She could even hear the change in the shape of the air as Kazi changed his own shape to something more subtle, more mortal. She heard all of this, but she didn't turn around once. If he wished to take his leave of her, let him take his leave. Lefika wasn't one to hold onto someone longer than they wished to stay; everyone deserved to move as they wished, like the wind. Her focus was only on her painting.

She had been given the gift to bring the beauty of the whole world into her small space, and for that she was forever greatful.

((Aaaand... I think that's about it. xd ))
