Jason stopped abruptly in the middle of lighting his cigarette. "Aye." He whispered, then cleared his throat. "well, you seamed..." he paused for a moment, thinking. "concerned." he finished, fidgeting with his Zippo lighter.
Bill waved the medic foreward. "I'd ask you to do the same, but the vampires already found us." he chuckled sadly. "I won't tell a soul, and neither would any marine in the outfit." he addded, reassuring her that they would remain hidden.

“You sound surprised” Selene retorted, arms crossing tighter over themselves. She wasn’t taken aback by the marine’s astonishment, having spent centuries perfecting the cold visage she presented to the world. It had been safer to appear unconcerned, detached from the world and the job she performed within it – but after recent events and encounters she was beginning to thaw. “I’ll have to work on appearing indifferent” she added in a lighter tone, hinting at the sarcastic nature of her words.
Michael nodded in a gesture of thanks, turning his eyes in the direction of the horizon. “Dawn isn’t far off” he uttered with a note of concern, shifting his focus to Selene and Jason. “We should start heading back, the others are sure to be worried” Michael continued, brushing a hand nervously through his sandy locks.
The vampire had sensed the dawn approaching, murmuring in agreement with Michael. “You should gather whatever supplies you’ll need now, I would prefer to not have to return unless absolutely necessary” Selene instructed, leaving little room for discussion.

Jason chuckled, then grunted in hunger. He looked at Bill, and sensed the blood that flowed within him..."Bill, grab two M16s from the Armory, and as much ammo as we can take." he instructed, shaking off the hunger with a shiver, his face showing shock, fear, and something akin to anticipation.
The Medic sighed, and strapped his MP5 to his back before going to help Bill with the munitions. He stopped short of the tent and looked back at Selene hurridly. "Do we need restraints ma'am? If it hasn't happened yet, he'll be hungry soon..." he said, concern flashing over his eyes.

Selene shook her head in reply. “He’ll travel with us” she replied calmly, despite having noted the hungered look in Jason’s eyes, “and should it be necessary he can be restrained when we reach the safe-house”. Although she hoped it wouldn’t be needed, the vampire was prepared for the potential altercation that could result from the newly turned man’s overriding hunger; confident her physical strength would surpass Jason’s, giving the six centuries of practice and power she had over him.
“Can you stand?” Michael asked softly, moving around Selene to stand beside Jason. Despite the still healing wounds, the hybrid knew that the bite of an immortal instilled great vigour and innate strength, something that allowed the bitten to transcend the limitations of their once mortal flesh. Jason should be able to stand against the wounds that would have cost him his life, although the movement would likely still be shaky. Extending his hand in aid, Michael waited for the marine to answer one way or the other.

"I'm fine." he said, grabbing hold of the hand and pulling himself up, his legs almost caving on him as he did so. He grabbed onto a nearby marine to balance himself, and before he knew it, he was going for the man's neck...
The medic nodded almost timidly, but turned and recieved a crate from Bill before he could show any further emotion. He moved away towards a humvee with no .50 and only an matte black paintjob. Bill followed with another crate, two M16s, and another M1911 for Jason.

Reacting swiftly as Jason made for the unsuspecting marine’s throat, Selene crossed the distance between the two of them; catching the turned man by the throat, lifting with ease and slamming him into the trunk of a sturdy tree. Having suspected what was to happen, Michael had released his hold upon Jason, the marine’s grip being turned from the hapless vampire. “Fight it” Selene instructed, holding Jason fast against the tree. He wouldn’t be moving until she allowed him to. Casting a quick, frustrated, glance to Bill, the vampiress added – “He’ll need to be restrained”. She had expected more from Jason, had expected him to be able to fight the blood lust long enough for them to return to the den; her disappointment reflecting within the recesses of her chestnut eyes.

He fought for a second, then stopped and collapsed, Exausted from the effort of fighting with the Vampiress. He breathed heavily, controling his breath, trying to convince himself that he was going to pull away...He turned his head to look at Selene, his eyes full of exaustion and shame.
Bill ran to grab some restraints, and came back to Selene restraining him herself. He shook his head as he walked over. "Still need these?" he asked, his tone slightly sarcastic. He himself had thought Jason would resist feeding. It was proof to the marines, at least, that the hunger was overwhelming to a vampire, and essentially a weapon of torture against them. He glanced to the medic, who made a slight movement towards his MP5, as well as the rest of the marines to their weapons. Even though Jason was secure, he was now a monster in their eyes...

With Jason now restrained, not to mention exhausted, Selene lowered him to the ground and released his throat from her grasp. Meeting the defeated vampire’s gaze with a steely expression, the woman turned toward the nervous marines and motioned for them to leave their arms by their sides. Jason was no longer a threat to them, although she couldn’t change the disillusioned perception the soldiers now held toward their leader.
“We should go” Michael suggested, uneasy with the feeling of distrust that had settled over the encampment.
Selene nodded, fixing a silent gaze on Bill so as to confirm his readiness to depart. Catching Jason by the arm, the vampiress lead him toward where the Jaguar rested; opening the door to allow him to climb in. “Anything else to take care of?” the vampiress enquired, resting against the open driver’s side door as she awaited an answer.

Bill nodded and waved the medic to the blacked-out humvee, tossing the gunnery sergeant a slip of crumpled up paper. "order those from command." he ordered, sitting behind the wheel and revving the truck's diesel engine.
Jason shook his head, an effort that left him even more fatigued, but he held his head high, and tried to maintain consiousness, at least long enough to get himself 'fed'.

With a final glance toward the assembled marines, Selene slipped into the car and turned on the engine. Closing her door, a sound that was echoed a moment later as Michael closed the passenger’s side door, the vampiress cast Jason a look in the rear-vision mirror before putting the car into motion. Turning the vehicle around, Selene sped back down the path they had taken earlier; a path that would lead them back through the city and eventually to the lycan den they were currently taking up residence.
((I'll make another post in the lycan den thread ^^))

Bill and the medic followed in the humvee, which was full of ammo already. They followed Selene's bullet-ridden vehicle out the gates, and eventually ended up at the Den...

The marine corps command was now teaming with Spec4 marines, Blackhawks coming in, dropping troops, then heading out to survey the area and refuel at the recently cleared USMC airbase. Jason's platoon in particular was loading up into a convoy, bringing weapons and supplies for the den. Following them would be a reinforced platoon in the Blackhawks, just in case...

The gunny was sleeping in his tent when he heard the guard yelling at someone, and he decided to get up, despite the early hour. He grabbed his street howitzer on the way, and slid some rounds into it as he walked towards the gate, frowning at what he saw. The marines at the gate wer far too many to be the night guard, and many weren't even in uniform, but all had weapons drawn on an unseen enemy at the gate. The gunny frowned, and walked up to the gate, where he saw that a stand-off had taken place. "What the hell is going on?" he asked, watching the enemy, who for the moment were just shadows. Very stealthy, scary shadows...
"these assholes came up to the gate demanding to see Master Guns sir, they think they can take the base." a Marine guard stated, his M4 trained on the unknown force's medic, apparently working furiously to keep his mate alive. The gunny stepped foreward, and spoke to what looked like a small tree,
"so you need our help 74?"

After a long while of negotiating, STORM 74 finally got clearence to call Jason, so he and his men walked into the COM tent and began the transmission. Meanwhile, their wounded members were helped my the Base's feild hospital, the Feild surgeons working furiously to keep the men alive...
"This is STORM-74 calling Master Gunnery Sergeant Hazzard, Please come in." He then paused breifly and repeated the message, calling out at two minute intervals, waiting for a reply from the Marine comander...
