Gathering her belongings and shoving them back into her bag Jessy gets up from her seat. "Oh you're welcome, anytime. I'm more than happy to help." Throwing her backpack over her shoulder she smiles up at him."Really? Wow, you don't have to do that. Of course I'd appreciate it if you could get one for me." Holding her notebook under her left arm she starts walking towards the door."But dont worry about it if you can't. Well I better be off to my next class."

His other classes went without incident for Ken. His classes were boring as always, but at least he had some help in Mythology now. After getting out of classes it was time to change back into the Shadow. He rode his Ninja back to the Arc Enterprises building. Taking the elevator to the top floor he then took the secret elevator hidden behind the massive suit of Samurai armor in Jason Arc's office. The elevator dived down the building and under the earth. The doors opened and Ken walked out into the Shadow's Lair. Old Jason Arc was working on some odd looking creation. His Large black Rottweiler was laying in a doggie bed next to the massive computer. The dog raised its head and looked at Ken, then put his head down, giving Ken the old dog's approval to continue. Ken walked by and said to the dog, "Still on patrol eh pooch? Guess both our hours are bad." Jason looked over, "Your Late!" Ken smiled, "I've been hearing that a lot lately today. Any luck on finding out what's keeping things quiet out there." Jason stood up and hobbled over towards the computer. Cleaning his hands with a cloth as he walked, "You ever heard of the seven mystics and the blood crystal?" Ken nodded, "Yeah, I think I remember reading about it. Seven eternal sorcerers found a powerful crystal which could give a man ultimate power. The mystics were attacked and in the battle lost the crystal." Jason sat down at the computer and brought up an image of an old woman, "well one of the mystics is still around. I contacted her and she was happy to let in on a rather interesting fact." Ken interrupted, "Let me guess, the crystal is here?" Jason scowled at Ken, "Don't interrupt me. The mystics can't sense the crystal. It's powerful enough to stay hidden from magic but she has been picking up a huge amount of dark energy coming from the city. Something powerful enough to spook every magic user around." Ken nodded, "and word spreads fast in the underworld." Jason agreed, "exactly, I see you've been paying attention. The Central museum is closed to set up a new Egyptian exhibit. I want you to break in and check it out. We're talking about ancient powers, recon only. I'll be sending the video to Morgana. She'll go over what we find and hopefully find something useful." Ken nodded and started to change into the suit. While behind the changing screen Ken asked, "What have you been working on all this time anyway." Jason smiled, "The S-Cycle, a new ride for you to use as the Shadow." Ken stepped out in the shadow suit, "Good, means I wont have to use this thing anymore. Well time to get to work." Leaning back against a small portion of wall Ken nodded to let Jason know he was ready. The catapult activating the small portion of wall and floor flew upwards on a track. A small hole opened on the roof of the Arc Enterprises building. Ken was thrown out of the hole and high up into the air. Activating the suits wings and boots Ken flew towards the museum. Landing on the roof of the museum Ken checked in with Jason, "how's the feed?" Jason replied, "audio and video are clear, your good to go." Entering the museum through a skylight, Ken activated the suits cloak. Hidden from prying eyes he could now move around the area. The cloaks sensitivity causing him to move slowly it did give him time to get detailed video on the artifacts.

The rest of Jessy's classes were uneventful and she was glad to be finished with them. She didn't have much time between her last class and the time that she had to be to work. Not wanting to be late she hurries up to her dorm to quickly change as well as drop off some books. Only taking the ones she needed to study with her, then she heads back downstairs.
Her stomach growling as she passes the small cafe. Looking at her watch she realizes she has a few minutes to grab something to take with her. Wanting more than a sandwhich she stops by the fast food restaurant down the street from the shop. As she leaves there she continues towards the Antique store, passing by the used bookstore. In the window was a poster for the upcoming Egyptian exhibit at the museum. "Hmm that I'd love to see. I wonder if I can get some extra credit for Myth class by going."
Also in the window were a few objects to complete their display. Spotting a jar that appeared to be older than dirt she decides to go in and take a look at it. Pushing on the glass door, an electronic door bell bongs. Smiling at the employee behind the counter she looks around quickly making her way to the window display case. As she inspects the jar a little closer she notices some very faint hyroglyphs painted on it. She wondered if it was an authentic piece. "I should send Dr. Marko over to take a look at it.
Walking back to the counter she asks the guy working, "Excuse me sir, would you happen to know if that jar in the display is for sale? And if so would the owners be interested in selling it?"
He replies, "As far as I know it's not for sale, but I'm sure if the offer was large enough they might consider it. I can find out for you if you'd like to stop by in a day or two. The owner will be in the next couple of days."
Jessy smiles, "Thanks, that would be great. I'd appreciate it."
Leaving there she finally makes it into the small antigue store. The metal bell clanking on the door as it closes behind her. "Hope I'm not too late, Mrs. Marko."

The Shadow lurked in the darkness, moving slowly to keep the ripple effect of his cloak to a minimum a voice interrupted him over the radio. "MacInnis, back to that last one." Ken stopped at a large stonewall covered in hieroglyphics. Jason warned Ken, "I'll patch in the feed to Morgana, don't say anything to reveal your identity." Ken replied, "understood." Jason picks up the phone on the side of the computer and phones Moragana, "Think you should come over here. I got a feed on some objects that you might be interested in." Jason slipped on one of the old Shadow masks as a red light formed behind him and a blond haired woman who looked about 30 stepped out. "What is it that you have for me to look at old shadow?" On the other end of the feed Ken had heard her comment and replied, "looks like a 3,000 year front door to me." Morgan looked at the feed and responded, "hmm the arrogance of youth. Yes its old, the hieroglyphic style is a code within the regular type used around 6,000 years ago. It tells of the battle against the evil god Anubis. He destroyed an entire army, until a powerful sorcerer from the hidden city of Azarath realized that Anubis could not be defeated. The sorcerer sealed Anubis in a jar and hid the jar deep in the desert. Not in a tomb just buried in the middle of the desert." Jason commented, "I?ve checked the inventory on they?re system, there isn?t any jars on the list. The jar has to be somewhere else if its whats causing this." Morgana laughed as she said, "you called me all the way here to translate a piece of rock? Next time only call me if you have the jar." With a wave of her hand and a glow of red light she had left the lair. Jason responded, "Keep looking around, and record as much as you can. We?ll translate it best we can." "yeah yeah, when can I go back to being a super hero? Being a camera isn?t as fun."

Fauve Rhian stared dejectedly at the stack of paper in front of her. First day back to class and she already had piles of work to do. Pushing up her glasses, she began to tackle the first one. Ignoring the activity around her in the internet cafe, she looked at her first assignment. An essay on the habits of wolves. Maybe this isn't so bad after all , she thought to herself, taking a sip of her mocha frapp and beginning to type her homework.
Only two hours later, Fauve Rhian left the cafe, her homework finished, other then a reading assignment that she would much rather prefer to read when she got home. Passing the musuem, she noticed, like many other passerby-ers, that there was an upcoming Egyptian exhibit. Sounds interesting enough, she mused before her thoughts were interuppted by several birds in the tree nearby. They whistled to her, asking her what she was doing. Replying in her mind, she exchanged some words with them before deciding to head to the library to get some more books on ancient mythology.
With three more books in her already heavy book bag, Fauve decided to do some 'window looking', as she called it. She didnt understand peoples' desires to look at things in windows if they werent going to buy it. Why is it called window shopping if you dont usually end up buying anything? She wondered.

Etain sighed as she glanced out her office window. She was definitely not going to get a story by sitting around here. "Hey Boss I'm headed out!" she called grabbing her camera bag and a note pad. She peeked her head into her editor's office and getting a nod of approval headed out to find a story. She spotted the posters about the new Egyptian exhibit and shrugged, "Not my usual topic, but hey could be interesting," she commented before seeing the time and deciding to grab some lunch. As soon as she had her food she found a spot in the park to eat. ninja

Reselda gasped slightly as she took a second to glance behind her softly swearing when she saw her pursuers still coming, "Well at least they're persistent," she commented before spotting a small crowd in front of her. With a smile and much practice she melded into it until she spotted a place she might be able to hide in. She quickly ducked into the store and winced as the bell above the door chimed. Still moving fairly quickly she found a place to hide from the view outside but where she could see when the cops left. When they did she gave a small sigh of relief before standing and looking around, "Wow, look at all the old stuff," she half laughed. She walked around looking at the different antiques trying to catch her breath while making sure she was staying hidden from outside windows. twisted

Katrina walked through the city park, looking though a book she'd just purchased with a confused expression on her face. True, she didn't know much English, but this English phrases book was positively useless. Who the hell would want to know the price of a camel, let alone how to ask that? Katrina sighed, hoping she'd found the right city this time. The village sagewoman had told her of a girl with vast knowlege of cursed powers who could help her, but hadn't been very specific. Sagewomen never were- Katrina supposed that was just their nature. "Excuse please, how to prepare cat?" She read aloud. Frustrated, Katrina tossed the book over her shoulder, not caring where it landed. Her clear eyes shone with fear that she'd never find this girl, never be able to control her curse. ((Note: When Katrina speaks , she's speaking German. Just thought you'd like to know))

Hey, Jessy! Everyday, you ask that, and everyday I tell you you're fine...and this day is no different. Kala got up from her seat on the couch to greet her assistant, a grin on her face. She really liked the girl, a bit of a klutz, but otherwise very smart and a hard worker. She actually considered her a little sister, but had never told Jessy that fact. She walked up the counter, taking a seat on the stool, and rested her elbows on the counter. How were your classes?
They were interrupted by the newcomer, someone Kala had never met before. Her clothes seemed a bit worn, but when it came to kids her age, which she guessed to be early teens, clothes had a bad habit of wearing out fast. Hi! Can we help you? She gave the younger girl a wide smile, one that was as warm as it looked (Kala always hated fake people..the kind that just wished to sell you whatever was on hand. She prefered the loving touch with customers, and even if they never bought anything, perhaps they'd learned something new about the past they hadn't known.). She watched the brunette moving about the store, but grew curious when she noticed that she was staying out of the view of the front windows, and repressed the urge to look for the moment.

Reselda jumped and whirled towards the voice showing her empty hands, "I'm not going to take anything I swear!" she quickly responded as she slowly moved towards the door, fear evident in her eyes, "Please don't call the cops on me," she nearly begged. twisted

Etain quarked an eyebrow as she over heard the "Excuse please, how to prepare cat?" comment before gasping as the discarded book landed in her lap nearly missing spilling her drink on her new and oddly enough light blue blouse. setting her drink down she stood, book in hand, "Excuse me is this book yours?" she asked holding the book out and smiling gently. ninja

Katrina's hands flew to her mouth in embarrasment, her cheeks turning a bit pink. She rambled a bit before her cheeks turn a bit more red as she realizes she's forgotten her English. "I'm sorry, I hope I did not hurt?"

Etain blinks a bit and pauses as she tries to remember her German lessons, she asked still holding the book out. ninja
((Note: Seeing as Spanish, French and German were the only three languages offered at my high school and German is the only one that sounds interesting I'm using it as the first language Etain learned. Using the <> to match Dez. twisted ))

Calm down, calm down, no one has accused you of that. Kala got up, and wending her way towards the girl, she felt sorry for her. She'd obviously was on the run from someone...who or what she'd deal with later. Come with me. She took the girl by the shoulders, keeping her from the view of the windows with her body, and quickly leading her back to where her husband was still sitting in the little lounge in the back. Have a seat, and relax...this is my husband, Cain, I'm Kala, and this is Jessy, my assistant. She motioned to the 2 other unoccupied couches along the sides of the room, and resumed her seat where she could keep an eye on the door. What's your name?
