uh- well when I watched the Goo Goo Dolls on CDUSA, JOhn was saying that Black Balloon was about a friend of his who got into some really deep stuff and with the help rom her friends managed to turn it around. He was saying it was sort of to demonstrate that even the most beautiful, confident people can get into some deep crap. Thats just what he said in the interview though.
