kimiholly Yeah, that's who I didn't like iether. The story was cool, Gavyne was fascinating, but there was something about Christabel. Alec and Katherine are by far my favorite pairing, but I think the second one had the better storyline( Marcus and Regina(?)) She was just...I don't know exactly. But there was something about her that rubbed me the wrong way, I guess. confused There was more going on in Marcus and Regina's story. And the relationship between Marcus and Prince George was kind of touching in a...twisted way. But I did adore Alec and Katherine. Did you start reading her new series? The School for Heiresses?

I read one, but I'm holding off on the second. Lucy really changed...is that the right name? She seemed so sweet and then she turns into this headstrong radical loving...Um...I don't know the word...it was an odd transformation. Like What Lindsay did to Jeremy- from uncultured scoundral to witty polite gentleman. But I do like Regina's brother so much more.

It wa an L name at least! I guess being at court and getting screwed over by the man you were in love with and seeing someone you were really close to die in a horrific manner will do that to a person? I read Jeremy's book, I think, and I didn't like it. It was the only book of Lindsay's that I read and it kind of put me off. /:

I don't remember the brutal murder...

I would have to say the first romance novel I ever read was Tristan and Isuelt. That story was so beautiful and sweet and sad, I cried for about two days when I read it!

The first romance novel I ever read was a Brit Lit entitled The Thin Pink Line by Lauren Longsted that I read when I was twelve (not that long ago, obviously).
The story behind that is, I was stuck at a store with my parents and I got bored, so I wandered into the book section just to see if they had anything interesting. Most of the selection consisted of oddball, New York Times bestsellers that I had never heard of, but, in the end, I ended up picking and buying that one. I took it home, read it, and enjoyed it (it was funny and cute).
Memoirs of a Geisha followed shortly after in my very small book collection.... whee

when I was in high school I didn't like reading books other than the Harry Potter series... I started reading books after reading a few fanfictions of anime or original in fiction press... My first romance book was Kiss an angel by Susan Elizabeth Philips... it didn't get me hooked on reading books though... ^^;; the book that got me buying more was made by Lisa Kleypas... I fell in love with historical romance after reading a book of hers... xp

I was 12 or 13 when I started reading romance novels. My parents never really cared what I read, so I pretty much had free reign of the library. When the town where I live put in a new library, I realized that I was getting sick of the Mary-Kate and Ashley books and the young adult section so I strayed into the adult section looking for something good. I can't remember what I choose, but I think it was something by Christine Feehan.
I, too, am not a big fan of Nora Roberts. I've found maybe 1 or 2 books that I actually like by her.
