Once, i really didn't want to go to church.
So I told my mom "If I believed in any of this crazy, invisible s**t w/o religion behind it, I'd be in the hospital right now."
I'm not sure if it's because of the religious part, or because I'd just been to the hospital the week before on account of suicidal tendencies, but my mom's face just sorta fell.
I think that might have crossed the line a bit. I only said it because I was so mad for having to get up.
No one in the family has been to church since.

Noooooo.
That was not intolerant at all. I think you did the right thing, standing up for your beliefs. My family is the same way, always wanting me to go to church. And when I try to bribe my way out (which works pretty well for other things), they are all like 'Bribery is wrooong. Now, I know we bribe you to go to church (they do lawl), but that's different. It's what's best for you.'
lol wtf.
Sorry about hitchhiking on your thread, I just had to vent a little.
Anyway, I don't think you were being intolerant at all. Not in the least.

For some reason i think more words than that were exchanged but sinces its hypothetical: no, Mandy was not being intolerant. Mandy could have sucked it up, been grateful that she had a family wh loved her and wanted to spend time with her, and stop being so angsty but she was not being intolerant.
