As the rest of the day passes, your teachers all act fairly nervous. They seem half expecting to see some demon or other creature come barreling down the hall. As the doors open, they jump, and as someone moves they get ready for the defensive. This is very peculiar.

Irix was getting nervous becuase of how jumpy teh heralds were. He wasn't sure what was going on, but after each class, he was getting a really bad feeling. HeWas on his way to his room now, intending to lock the door and go to work. It was safe in his room, and it would be only him there. No dealing with jumpy, nervous teachers. until tomorow..

As Irix began his walk to his dorms, there was something amiss. His door wasn't locked, and as he opened the door, there was a bag on the ground. This bag was closed and it seemed travel worn. This was not normal.

the unlocked door set off one alarm in his head, and he entered the room cautiously, eyeing the bag on the ground. He wasn't sure whether to continue or retreat. "...Hello?"

"Hello, Irix," a female herald said, walking calmly out of the second room of your dorm suite. A younger man stood next to her, his eyes were practically glued to the floor.

Irix blinked a few times, stairing at the Herald, rather than the young man standing beside her. "I-I'm s-sorry!" He was in trouble for speaking out of turn earlier, he knew it. They were going to take his companion away and kick him out. Damnit! He knew he should have kept his mouth shut! "I-I didn't m-mean to say anything earlier, i swear!" And he bowed low, almost ready to drop to his knees begging. He didn't want to go back home a failure! But.. The Herald had already brought his replacement, so there was really no chance for him. Damnit!
Paranoia was in his blood. There was no escaping it.

The reaction that Irix gave was enough for the boy to look up bewildered, but he still didn't say anything.
"What in the world are you talking about, boy?" the herald, Shaya, asked him.

after a second, the words the herald just spoke sunk in enough to cause Irix to look up at her, blinking owlishly at her. "Wh-what?" he asked, only now glancing over to the boy next to the herald. "Aren't you here... to boot me out? Is.. Isn't he ... to take my place... You mean i'm not in any kind of trouble..?" He looked back at the Herald, hands fidling behind his back nervously.

Herald Shaya looked the trainee up and down before she continued. "You aren't in any trouble or anything of the like. This is your new roomate, his name is Andel Mortuus." Andel smiled weakly at the other trainee.

Something clicked in the back of his mind. He remembered, however vaugly, a conversation a while ago.. about getting a room mate sooner or later. Figures it would be today.
He turned a shade of red in embarasment.
"O-oh..."
this was a beautiful first impression he was giving.
"I see... Hello then." there was NO recovering from looking like an idiot. THe bag should have given him a hint, to. damnit.
He could hear his companion chuckling in the back of his mind.

(Does Irix have a character bio? So far, I know nothing about him, besides that he jumps to conclusions and cares deeply about people)
Shaya nodded to the two of them. Andel didn't say anything to Irix's greeting.

... Irix sideglanced at Andel, and held back a grimace. His great first impression had earned hatred from his room mate. THat was brilliant. You couldn't live with soemone who hated you. He had to make it better. Somehow...
"Um.. Sorry about that... didn't mean to.. jump to the wrong conclusion... i forgot about the room-mate thing..."

Andel made a rather vague gesture with his hand. Shaya looked from boy to boy before adding her two sense in. "Andel doesn't speak, his mindspeach will be worked on so he will be able to communicate that way."

First of my posts in this thread! my profiles there X_X very un-informative. ))
Irix tried to avoid slumping physicly at that. This wasn't cool, not only did his new room mate hate him, but he couldn't speak that hatred. Great. "I.. I see." If he could possibly get any Emo-er than this, he'd turn into a flailing puddle of emo-goo. Not Very Fun!

The herald nodded, "I'll leave you two alone then. Your schedule will be delivered to you in the morning, Andel." He nodded in return, and she whisked away. Andel stood there, watching his new room mate.
