Karen chuckled slightly at this. Minty raised his head slightly, at the glass knocking down, and then just laid his head back down. Karen then walked over to the cabinet with the beverages in it, and grabbed the rum. She walked back over to Maia, and poured some more rum in her glass. She then turned around and sat the bottle on the counter behind her. She then turned back to Maia, and looked at her. " So, how have ya been lately?" Karen asked kindly.

Maia still didn't speak, just silently drinking all that she could before having to leave. But drunken werewolves weren't the most friendliest people to be around. She laced her finger on the rim of another empty glass thinking what she wanted to tell Audrey's friend. "I've met you before right...? You're one of Audrey's "friends"." She said venomously, not looking up at the woman behind the bar.

Karen looked at Maia a little. She then smiled and filled her cup again. She then looked up at Maia again. " Yes, I'm one of "Audrey's" friends." Karen said trying to immitate Maia. " Audrey and I are pretty close, have a problem with that?" She questioned Maia while placing the rum back on the counter behind her. Then she turned back to Maia and said yet another thing. " And, yes we have met before. Do you have a problem with that also?" Karen stood there looking at Maia.

"Yeah...why the hell do you ask so many questions?" She brought her glass up to her lips but then sighed, not able to stomach it all. She swallowed, looking down at the rum. "Are you going to ask me now why I wallow in so much self pity...?" She fiddled with the bandages on her right hand, feeling it gush as she touched her palm and the blood underneath the bandages started to move.

Karen then leaned back against the counter behind her. She smirked at Maia, and then watched what she was doing. " Well, I ask so many questions to gain knowledge. And, well, I was going to ask that question next, but then decided not too. I don't like poking and proding into others affairs unless they want me to help them out with it." She then finished the sentence, and just sat there looking at Maia.

She took another sip. "Did Dami-kins remember to tell you...some particularly interesting information about the current condition of your sweet little Audrey...?" Maia looked up at her, her golden eyes clinging to loose the last few strands of soberness that was there.

Karen looked at her, and then raised an eyebrow. She then said in a questioning manner, " What do ya mean? Damien and I haven't seen each other for awhile. Do tell me this new interesting information." Karen still leaned against the counter studying Maia some more.

Haro Shika was walking through the town investigating, when she came up to a building. She walked towards the door, and opened it. A bell chimed when she came in. She looked into the setting seeing two females there. She walked to the back of the bar, sitting at a table by herself. She then pulled out her old book and set it on the table. She studied it a little, and then opened the book again. She looked at the word cacography again and grinned.

She laughed. "He just happened not to tell you that you'll be about ready to become an aunt, doll...? He just happened not to tell you that?" She laughed again, shaking her head and drinking more. "What a shame...they'd come into this world and you wouldn't even know."

Karen looked at Maia still, and heard the bell chime to the bar. " Well, like I said, I haven't seen Damien, so he hasn't had the chance to tell me. But, it would be a shame if I didn't know they were coming into this world. Thanks for telling me this Maia." She then smiled at Maia, and looked past her at the platinum haired girl in the back of the room. " Welcome, dear, can I get you anything?" Karen said sweetly.

Maia barely turned when she heard the soft tinkling of the bells. She kept drinking, her laughter starting to turn sour in her mouth. "And yet...I wish they never would come at all. Two of them if you can believe." She pushed her half empty glass forward, looking away. "It sucks..."

Haro Shika looked up from her book. She saw the two girl's in front of her. She saw the girl behind the counter speaking to her.
"Well, first thing is, don't call me dear. Please. It makes me feel very young. And you don't look so old yourself. You can call me Haro Shika. Second, I would like a glass of water, please."
Haro Shika smiled sweetly, as she stilled looked at the girl behind the counter. She awaited the drink she ordered patiently and looked back down to her book.

Karen looked at Maia again. " Two, that is gonna be exciting. And I can see why, Maia, the type of person you are most likely couldn't handle kids." Karen snickered as she walked over and got a glass, and then filled it with some water. She then walked out from behind the counter over to the table where Haro Shika was seated. " Here ya are Haro Shika, and you can just call me Karen." She smiled as she walked back behind the counter.

Maia laughed, amused by encouraging words. "Of course, an aunt would say that..." She picked up her drink, swirling the contents. "That's why Audrey's the one married and I'm the unlucky slut that's stuck in the same body..." She raised her finger to her mouth, nipping it and watching the blood fall into the rum. "But hey...if it were me, they wouldn't be even conceived."

Haro Shika watched Karen walked away from her. She closed her book, and looked up.
" Thank you, Miss Karen."
Haro Shika then reached for the glass and grasped it. She then lifted it to her mouth and began to drink the water. She then set the glass back down, and pulled out a peice of paper. She pulled out her marker, and began drawing.
