That would be a great idea, I think.

Personally growing up with my parents who enjoyed arguing in gaelic, one can't help but pick up bits of it here and there.

The most I came out with was a very thick accent though. razz

Hmm Im sure if someone made the form all of us who can speak Irish would throw a lil in to it.

Ya, we spent the whole of lunch on Monday talking away in Irish..I don't know why. The four of us just sitting there talking Irish for a good half an hour or so.

Lol ill try but i havnt spoken irish in over 2 years, well 3 almost. Im not sure about the spellings..but ill try!

One = aon (think aim but with ain)
Two= do (dough..like the baking stuff)
three= Trí.. (three)..

Ugh i give up cause there is a website!

Pronuncation: Ay-on

Word: Two
Irish: Dó
Pronunciation: dhoh

Word: Three
Irish: Trí
Pronunciation: three

Word: Four
Irish: Ceathair
Pronunciation: ka-hir

Word: Five
Irish: Cúig
Pronunciation: coo-ig

Word: Six
Irish:Sé
Pronunciation: shay

Word: Seven
Irish: Seacht
Pronunciation: shoch-edh

Word: Eight
Irish: Ocht
Pronunciation: uchth

Word: Nine

Pronunciation: knee (or in Munster Irish - nay)

Our translator and enunciator has requested that we use the Anglo-Irish spelling for the word colours. We think this is a perfectly reasonable request. When in Ireland, right?

In the foriegn languages guild we have this thing where we all vote on a language each month and someone teaches the basics for the month chosen. This month it's Irish, but unfortunately we have no teacher. Can anyone help us?

I suck at Irish Gaelic.

But no matter! I've downloaded MP3s from SoulSeek as a part of some CD language set. Pimsleur's Irish. In addition to these CDs, there are online transcripts so you can follow along and catch the proununciation. I can try to upload them somewhere, but I'm not sure if they're legit. I think they are only one area's dialect...

I would love to become fully fluent in it. I already have the habit of saying some phrases in Irish around the house, but I would love to hold conversations. XD

OH i love speaking irish! I live there so its kinda an advantage for me!! smile I had an exam ther ethe other day talking to a aguy from Connemara and he was fluent and i got an A!!! yay!!

I can help ye if ye want? But you may need to mail me as i hardly check the guilds that often smile

lol heres my FAVOURITE irish sentence ever lol im sure most know it already though

My brother can speak fluent Gaelic but he wont teach me ;___;
I really wanna learn. In high school he didn't have to take french because he knew Irish -.-

Wow..... I really wish I could speak Gaelic...... that'd be awsome!
