"That's comforting," Baylyn retorted sarcastically. She smiled down at him though and then nudged him with her hand.
"Let's go," she prodded.

*Continued from the Town Thread*
Baylyn rushed into the house, her eyes darting quickly around her surroundings. She snarled once, daring anything to jump out at her. When nothing did, she stayed inside and set down the bread upon the table. She then walked to her room, and checked it thoroughly. The house wasn't very large, but it had plenty of options for becoming enlarged. She just hadn't had the time or inclination.

"What is wrong mom? I don't smell anything out of place in here." Sibet asks as his mother rushes through the house. His eyes show a lot of concern.

"Rogue lycans do their darndest to hide," she told her son. She shifted to her wolf form, clearly finding that form safer. Her golden fur lay was becoming a gilded ridge as she continued to growl. She then pushed the door open with her nose and stalked outside. She lowered her auds and the lifted her head and howled a warning and an invitation to those who wished to try their luck against her and her family.

"Why would other lycans want to hurt us though? We are all the same, right?" Sibet asks, staying inside, feeling safe in the smaller house. "No one would enter your den without letting you know, right?"

Baylyn lowered her head and then looked at her pup with concern and love in her eyes.
"Lycans are not the same. Some are bad, and others are good. Moral fiber doesn't matter to some, and it does to others." She walked back inside the house, her panic attack over with. She nudged the boy who stood there and Baylyn sighed softly before jumping up onto the windowsill and keeping watch from her perch. She lowered her head down onto her paws and whuffed as the air escaped her lungs when she laid down.

"Why is that? I can understand the humans, they can fear us and not understand us, but our own kind? Other wolves should be more understanding than that." Sibet ponders this. "Well, maybe it is time for bed." He changes into his fox form and finds a soft and enclosed space to sleep in. He curls up into a ball, his fluffy red and white tail pressed against his nose.

"Yea," she replied softly, not sure what she was answering. She knew that if anyone else joined the pack, they'd have to get along. She wasn't going to just sit there and hope for the best. Tomorrow they'd have to go looking for wolves for their pack. They all needed protection.

Sibet's tail swooshes from side to side after a while. He even rolls over onto his back, showing the white fur on his belly.

Baylyn woke the next morning, her eyes still slightly shut. She let out a large sigh as she stretched her muscles. No one had come that night, and she was glad the full moon was over with. It didn't take much for a werewolf to come attack them. She walked over to Sibet and nudged him gently, a smile creasing her canine lips.

By now, he is back in his human form again, he changed in the middle of the night.
"I don't wanna go. A few more minutes." He just rolls over and sleeps with his arms under his head.

Baylyn chuckled then shifted to human form and picked the boy up. Grinning at his weight, it was almost nothing to her.
"You're going, even if I have to eat you and carry you that way!" She started attempting to tickle his sides.

'Ahahahaha!" Sibet quickly laughs and then jumps out of her arms. "Okay, I'm up!" He quickly shacks himself, waking up fully.
(Lean and spry. Foxes are better at agility, less on strength.)
