The Firebringer? That's not the one with the wolf and his tail being on fire, is it? Because I remember reading something like that a long time ago. It was a short story though.

No, it's about a deer...with a leaf mark on his forhead. And an evil deer kidnaps his mom or something. I don't know, it's been a while since I read it.

[Being mean is one of my personal traits that gives me a never-ending supply of hilarious blunders from other people. It makes them think when I criticize them. I chuckle at their faults. Mwah ha ha ha ]
It was actually a pretty good book. One of his other books, The Sight , was pretty good too. It has wolves in it, and they can talk. Come on, what's better then talking wolves and deer?!
