Nightjar Sieg` I just don't feel like watching anime anymore. Same goes for smash, it is growing quite...unfufilling nowadays. GTFO. no seriously, this is by far one of the biggest oxymoron's Ive come across "im in an elietist smash guild, but im tired of smash, so ill just post nonesense about how I dont like it." thats you thats what you sound like. LOL, Eletist Smashers? hahaha. (How the ******** do you spell that?) I think you mean Elite Smashers. Yeah, I was playing today, and it's alot cooler now. We need a tourney.

Not bad eh? When dean went out and bought it we had to watch it twice just for the sake of it. As well as kite but we only watched that once..

Saw the first DVD, lost interest. I've heard great things about it, but I didn't really enjoy what I saw.
Think Excel Saga, only a little less random with more intentional parodies, and I believe it has a real plot.

Nightjar P34ch35 Anyone seen Yakitate!! Japan? Cant say that i have... any good? It's a comedy about bread. It sounds retarded, but I guarantee it is top notch. 69 episodes long, and it doesn't really drift off into filler ever; it has lots of puns, parodies, and even some culinary knowledge (some of which is false). It seems random at first, but it's not. The only cons are that it's overdramatic and it's about bread. Both of those aren't necessarily bad though. It's my favorite comedy. It's not as crazy as Excel Saga, but it's less grounded than Azumanga (I hate Excel Saga BTW, it's just a little too random for me, it wears on you after 5 episodes). Yakitate is highly imaginative. EDIT: it is really goofy though.

It's definitely different, but for some reason it's so enjoyable. Some sort of magic bread vibe going on. Quote: Adapted from a manga, this series follows Azuma Kazuma who has "solar hands", hands that are a slightly warmer temperature than the rest of his body, which allows bread to ferment perfectly when he bakes. He's also an almost cliched dim witted dense happy go lucky protagonist, and the series follows the other bakers he meets, the competitions (that get increasingly harder, doh) and umm...a bread monopoly takeover plot?? Over the top, hilarious and original, my question is, "Has anyone else seen this madness?" And in other news: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-01-09/japan-post-evangelion-stamps

Sliph Has anyone seen The Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi ? I's thinks thats whats its calleds. I've watched the entire series and read the whole 2 manga series. You've got to watch the anime to the last few episodes before the plot becomes apparent. The themes used alongside the frantic comedic and parodic story is really well done in my opinion, alot like FLCL was able to do. The manga just has alot of Hentai, and Anno Hideaki and the director of the manga appearing as Musashi and Bruce Lee. The artist writes 'Thank you for giving me work director-san, as a tribute to you I have drawn your wee wee with my fattest marker' That part made me laugh so hard.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NS11PLR3Afro Samurai; a show airing currently on Spike TV. Should be 6 episodes long; think Samurai Champloo only with a black guy and his fro (voiced by Samuel L Jackson). VERY straightforward looking series; it aims to entertain, not to enlighten. I'm not sure of the time period (wasn't paying close enough attention), but there are modern weapons used (in addition to the swords) and they are definitely not boring. Fight scenes are highly intense and as overtly styled as the characters. The main character is a kid who is seeking revenge over his dead father. That's the plot from what I can tell.
