"It's great, thanks a lot Kat!" he said to her. He was tempted to splash her but resisted. He wondered why she seemed so sad. He came closer to her even though he was soaked. "Are you...ok?" he asked her quietly. He hoped she was, and if she wasn't he would find away to make her better.

Kat snapped out of her daze and looked up at him, "Me? Oh yes I'm fine, just mad, over my nervousness, I really do hate it you know?" she was sort of lying, sort of telling the truth. Talking about her family was hard, she wished to not be sad for one day, and not be sad thinking of when she lost then. Besides, she was making a new friend.

He came closer and cuddled her a bit then backed away. He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable around him. "Are you sure? Where's your family?" he said without a thought. He didn't know anything about her family and what had happened. Then he realised what he had said and hoped she had had a good happy family.

She was taken aback by his cuddle, but perhaps that was just something the nicer lions did out here. They were friends after all, least she hoped. Her family, yes, perhaps she better tell him and not play a charade. "My family...died," she looked away, not mad at him, just, trying to focus on not letting tears pass from her eyes, "the plague...took them from me, the second half of my name, is my twin sister's name, I just...want to live my life...for the both of us..." she thought the idea was silly. But then again, she just tried harder then others. She looked up at him, but with a smile on her maw, "What about your family Ekene?"

His eyes widened and he stared at her. "I'm so sorry..." he didn't know what else to say or do and he felt like talking about his own family, which he knew nothing about, would just be silly. "M-my...family abandoned me...I barely remember any of them..." he said trying to be nice. He had probably hurt her, how could he have been dumb enough to ask such a question?

Kat watched him and she smiled, "Don't worry Ekene, I'm asked that a lot, its getting easier to talk about over time, that it is," she said with a nod. It was horrible that his family abandoned him, so so sad. Why would they abandon him? He seemed so nice, such a horrible thing to do to him. Do you live out here Ekene?" she was just curious, if he did or didn't, she wanted to know where he was, so she could visit him sometime.

"I go wherever the wind blows me really...here, there...everywhere." he said with a nod. He shook his huge red mane, splashing water all over. "Oops, i'm sorry!" he said quickly. He stepped lightly out of the water and sat down to talk to her more. "Where do you live?" he asked with interest.

Kat smiled and shook herself free of the water droplets that seemed to want to cling to her fur. "Its alright Ekene, no worries, I don't live anywhere specific really, I'm just wandering, trying to decide...whether or not I should seek out another place," she said with a nod and licked her fur a bit to clean it off of the water. She was used to getting the water from her fur, but it seemed it didn't stick to her like it used to. "Are you heading anywhere Ekene? Going to find yourself a home away from all of this?"

He laughed. "If I can....someday i'll find a good place to live....but it's not gonna be anytime soon." he said. "I wish you luck on deciding where to live..." he added. Ekene hoped she found a wonderful home and had a new family and others who loved her. It seemed as though that's what she needed most.

She smiled and poked his shoulder softly, and playfully, "Well then, wouldn't it be marvelous if by chance we ended up in the same place?" Random thought, but how wonderful would it be if she happened upon him in the place she was thinking of going to. Hmm, perhaps another visit to Ai would be a good idea.

"Yes it would..." he said and gently poked her back. He wondered if that were possible...it probably was but he felt like he was doomed to wander for the rest of his life. It wasn't so bad really but sometimes he wanted a place he could call his. "Well....we can't just sit around all day, let's go do something!" he said suddenly.
Maybe that's why he was a wanderer...because he couldn't hold still for too long.

"Do something, like what?" she asked tilting her head. What was there that they could do out here? Hmm. She tried to ponder over what they might find that was interesting to do, but it was fleeting her mind at the moment. She was also wary of the time, the sun was already heading towards the horizon dividing line. Surely she did not wish for night to fall and she caught in the dark in the open.
"What would you like to do Ekene?"

He paused. After he thought about it he really didn't know what to do. "I dunno....hmm..." he said in thought. Then Ekene frowned, there really was nothing to do. He was going to suggest hide and seek but this place was so empty that there was no where to hide and he figured she would think him foolish for asking to play such a childish game.

Kat sat back and tried to ponder of what to do, her eyes glanced up towards the sky. It was blue, but had a few clouds scattered upon the bright blue canvas of the heavens. She smiled and looked towards one, it looked like a bunny with a fluffy tail, "See that?" she said pointing with her paw, "A cute bunny, can you see it Ekene?" She remembered when she did that with her sister so long ago. It was nice to try it again after so long.

He smiled at her then looked to the clouds. He tilted his head a bit. "Yea it does! And that one over there...that one looks like a bird." he said pointing to another cloud. He had never done this before with anyone else. Of course he had looked at the clouds and imagined things though.
((I ish sowwy I have to go clean mah kitchen. I'll be back in about 15 minutes. *nods*))
