"Obviously, please do not ask unnecesary questions." She walked briskly in the darkness, unseen by almost all. Her stealth was superior for her age. "And watch where you step. There are trackers everywhere."

"What's wierd." Riyoku was wearing a pair of shades now, like many clones wore. It was a good way to hide. She was already clone like in personality and movement. A pair of sunglasses makes her masquerade more realistic. She could blend in at anytime. As for Shadow, he could take care of himself or get shot.

"Make yourself like them." Riyoku told him simply. She looked like a clone herself. Others will think her hair was just a genetic accident. There was nothing about her that made others think that she was natural born. She stopped at an iron building, looked to see if there were any clones around, then knocked on the door. The mail slot opened. "X-15 Blackbird, NB in tow." The door opened when she said that and a woman ushered them in hurridly.

"This is the base of the NBR. We're the natural born resistance. If you give us away, I will be more than angry." She led him through a series of tunnels and opened a door. The room was covered in screens that were loaded with data. She typed in a code for the command prompt. A series of words appeared and she quickly memorized them. "Come with me, I need to know more about your gate."

Riyoku opened the door to a training room. It was barren except for a few targets. "I want you to summon your gate and sychronize with your creatures. first one by one, then all together." Her voice was analytic. She never seemed to joke. "I want to know your potential so we can put you on appropriate missions."

"You need more practice. That was not a synchronization, and you were still tired." Riyoku faced him. "Synchronization will take much more out of you than just controlling you creatures with your mind."

"At least you're stable. You're old enough that you don't get yourself killed by accident. Summon 17.2." Riyoku held out her hand. The double haloes appeared. "Sayphen, Katha, Ryuthe, Mirelle, Shirame." Sayphen and Katha, the black and white winged cats, appeared first, jumping from the gate trailing a streak of light. They hovered in midair, the sapphire jewels glowing like their crimson eyes. Ryuthe was next, a small serpentine dragon, silver and delicately winged. His jewel was emerald, the same color as his fangs and eyes that glittered as he wove a figure eight in space. Mirelle came next. The graceful wolven creature was grayish, with long ears and an elegant muzzle. Its eyes were ice blue, each graceful limb holding four dangerous silver claws. She bared her teeth, showing silver fangs studded with diamonds. Then last, came Shirame, named after the goddess of snow and sorrow. A graceful rabbit like creature with feathered wings appeared. The slim red eyes were elegant and whiteless, like a faerie's. Gold and silver rimmed the edges of her wings. She too, had silver claws, long silver claws an inch in length and sharp as the best knives. A long lion like tai swished under her as she hovered next to the cats.

Riyoku smiled, she was going to take a risk again. "Total synchronization." Each creature nodded and turned into a streak of light, entering the rings of the double ringed gate. It glowed brighter, and electric blue, then lifted and lowered itself around Riyoku. There was a brilliantly blinding flash and the gate disappeared. Riyoku stood, emmiting a silver blue light, her eyes grim in satisfaction. Three pairs of wings extended from her back. One pair white feathers, another pair black and the last, silvery dragonet.

"Refraction..." She looked at a target and blinked. It blew up instantaneously. Riyoku unsynchronized and returned her creatures. "Shadow, that was a true synchronization. You must learn to handle yours."
