El_Chico_de_Fuego Picard is a cool name, Piers is not. A cool guy has to have a cool name or it just don't work out. Ya, but he's a water adebt, so Piers is a funnier name, 'cause it's a play on words, like a pier at a dock, and... sweatdrop

Dragon_Fear Uhh Piers...I guess its because im used to that name...Picard sounds really random o.0 I guess that's it, in the game I always leave him the name: Piers Yup I'm used to that. even thou before I had GSTLA, I'v read stories on a funny GS site, and he was always named Picard there, it was the first name I heard but still I like Piers more cause I'm more used to it, and I even can't name him picard in the game cause you can only give a name with only 5 characters...so he would be called: Picar sweatdrop

Picard makes more sense when you look at his "serious" attitude in parts of the game, but Piers is good for when he is being a dolt.. It'sl like saying choose one, chocolate or chocolate, then being told that vanilla is the only flavour. Which in turn causes you get really angry like and throw stuff everywhere and break tings and then eventually end up kicking a hole in the wall before storming out and cursing the establishment. sweatdrop stare

Anyway, it's really a matter of preference. Those who played TLA first without being an obsessive internet GS fan before it came out tend to use Piers, as it's what they're used to from the game. Those who spent a year hearing about the new character 'Picard' use that name, becase it's what they're used to calling him. Of course, some new fans use Picard and old fans Piers, but again... it's all up to what you prefer. Maybe we should just call him Bob and be done with it. wink

O.o Run away! That's another reason why I don't like the name. wink My non-GS playing friend always calls our favorite Lemurian Piers or 'Piers Polkiss' just to annoy me... And I too used to think Star Trek when I heard Picard, but that has long since faded.
