I hate to shoot holes in your idea, but I think the rogue and monk are mutually exclusive. Conventionally speaking, at least. Rogues have to be non-lawful. Monks have to be lawful. One of those classes would be sacrificing itself for the other. Better to change the 'monk' to 'fighter'. Fighters are practical at any level. Monks only really shine when they approach epic. Also, the rogue/fighter would be a weaponsmaster of sorts. High level monks gain more benefits from using their fists than from any artificial weapon.
Basically: cool idea. I like the concept of an enemy that has so many templates added onto it that no one knows what to expect (Okay, it's a monk. Okay, it just backstabbed me. And now the moon's out and it's got wings. What the heck?) Unfortunately, I think the swiss-army-were might just get in its own way. But I could be wrong. If you're going to do monster creation, my advice is to build a generic party and test it against your beasts. That way you'll know what to fine tune, if anything.

In 3.0 and beyond Rogues could be of any alignment. Basically, they do what ever it takes to be profitable as long as it follows thier own moral compass.
And i chose monk for the flurry of blows. The primary weapon of choice was going to be a quarter staff. the damage might not be much, but in hybrid form its rather difficult to miss with a dex of 24+ and weapon finess(quarterstaff)
Plus the tieflings natural ability to cast Darkness at a caster level = your character level, and the were-bats natural blindsight.

Reccomendation on that point: change to three section staff. This will keep the authenticity, flurry's speed, price, appeal, and more together. Just a suggestion from the arms and equipment guide.

Only problem with that is that the 3-section staff has low control. (I know this from personal experiance). I was thinking more along the lines of a Darkwood staff.
As an added bonus if the craft checks pass then it can be made to conseal a gem worth 20,000 gold. This gem is designed to "Trap the Soul" of the target creature touched thus charging the staff (X) charges with (X) being the number of hitdice the traped creature had. Once charged the staff is able to cast darkness at Caster Level 6.
However it would be cool as hell seein a Man-Bat runnin around a 3sec. staff able to use it to defelt arrows and snit. Very "Hero" or "Crouching Tiger" esque. biggrin

It has low control, but even less for opponents. The change in weaponry from the normal can shock and change. Then again, since you'd be starting at that level it wouldn't be needed. Magicing away makes it intersting. My characters (both mine and the ones I DM for) seem to always end up investing and ruling small countries by the end of the campaign. Makes for less magic, but more complexity. This may end online though smile

Definitly not something my char would want. However... My char does have a special want for a house. Only a true mage can construct it for her though.
Lets just say it involves a very expensive ring. razz

Mordikens masion? or how about the normal 3-4 room house for a mere 2000g? If nothing else it could be a stepping stone to the next, more magical one. Or something from Stronghold builder's perhapse? plenty of fun there!

Hey everybody, I'm Duke from another Guild BigmageUSA is in. I have been looking for something like this, because I am mildly interested in what goes on in these things.
-I'm a Dude. I feel my avatar represents me. -I have never done any D&D work before, however I was known as a very original roleplayer. In a modern fantasy roleplay, I was able to overpower all the magic characters with a non-magical one by using the enviroment. Yes, shooting a bundle of Fire extinguishers can be very useful. -This slot does not exist. -(Message lost.) -Danm AT&T E-mail account! -I knoiw BigmageUSA from another guild. Thats how I found out about this one. -I like Ducks. -I really REALLY like Ducks. -I may make a buncha spelling mistakes, because I am too lazy to check my post. -I'm really a cyborg, long story. -Eleven notes, nice.
