Light flashed on iron, creating a glare for all to see. The sword sprang to life, blocking all views of the ship. Decision made, the rider swung of her sturdy mare, shedding her scarf and sweater. A plain, pearl-colored gown lay beneath, blowing around her ankles in the afterstorm winds. She hastened to undo the tiny row of buttons, slim fingers moving with perfect ease. Yanking it over a head of soft, ever so wavy strawberry locks, the woman straightened her light blue shift. She took a deep, gasping breath. Diving into the white-topped waves, the woman disappeared. Popping up, water streamed from her face and hair. She gasped for breath, lungs heaving with effort. Eyes closed, she tread for a moment, waiting. Steadied, the female swam towards the not so distant ship. Her hands pulled long practical strokes, helping her to gain quickly.
((Sorry, hope this isn't too unrealistic. It's rather unlikely...but oh well. We just need to start rping together.))

((Whatever...haha, my guy can practically teleport.))
Withdrawing the the weapon from the man's new wound, the young man turned to find many more enemies to slaughter. One after one he dashed across the deck and sent their bodies askew across the wooden floor.
Once he had reached the front of the ship, he noticed a quick flash of something that had quikly surfaced. Just as quickly the object submerged. He didn't think twice of it as a sword was swung at him over his shoulder.

A towering timber side swam into view, rising above her drenched head. "Throw me a rope!" her voice sounded feeble to her ears. "Throw me a rope, damn you!" Dashing droplets from chestnut eyes, one hand groped for a hidden blade. The woman sighed with relief as one finger brushed an engraved handle. Treading with her feet, she reached to unbuckle the strap that held her sharpest rapier in place.

In the process of killing a man, he had his sword halfway through his opponent when he heard the woman's voice from below the ship. He withdrew his bloodied sword from the man and walked patiently to the side of the vast ship. Seeing the woman, he sheathed his sword and then kicked backwards. He struck a man's shin who had had his sword raised over his head, ready to slice the young man down the middle. Dropping his sword, the man clutched his shin before he struck the wounded man's face with his knee, sending him sprawling across the deck.
Gathering up some rope he found a few feet away, he threw it overboard to the woman. Seeing that she had took hold of it, he started to pull her up with all his might. When he had succeeded in dragging her upwards until she was a foot from the railing and spoke with a smile, "Women shouldn't be cussing like that...it's not ladylike. Casson," he said and held out his hand.

She grinned wryly. "Fren." Drawing out her saber, the woman flipped around with dizzying speed. Orange curls flying, she blocked a burly swordsman, leering as he came her way. Air seemed to bend as she feinted to the side, drawing the attacker away from her center. One rapid flip and a sword went flying through the air. In a blur, the man was indifferent to her sharp rapier, bleeding at her bare feet. A flicker of a smile crossed her face. She turned back to Casson and attempted a curtsy in her transparent shift. "Who says women can't curse?"

"Well, I never said- one moment?" He had just started to speak when another man came from his left, his sword swinging frantically through the air. Casson quickly scooped up a bucket with his foot and caught it, a moment later throwing it towards the man. He then struck through the bucket in mid-air through the base and continued with the movement so he penetrated the man's stomach. After he had withdrawn his sword from the man, he pulled the bucket off with a bit of a hassle and then threw it to the ground. Turning back to Fren, he took her hand and spoke, " As I was saying, I never said that a woman can't curse, It's just unusual and amoungst the peaceful women it's considered rude." He kissed her hand and continued, "I actually quite like it when women show their anger."

"Good." she speared another man in the chest, yanking out her sword as she thrust him off with her foot. Turning back, Fren nodded. "I am usually regard with a frown. Damn females." she cursed, wiping sweat off her freckled forehead. Spearing the deck with the point of her saber, the woman squinted as she glanced up at him. 19, tan, and ravishingly beautiful, she crossed her lightly muscular arms thoughtfully.

He looked around and found the nobody was in sight, either they had killed them all, or the enemy was to afraid to show. "That is some excellent swordsmanship if I might say so myself. How many years did it take you to learn that?" He looked down to his sheath and slid in his blade with a satisfying click. A took a glance to the sword that sat in the deck, the hilt still wobbling from such an tough entry.

"Ten," she yanked the blade tip out of the hardwood. "Mum through me out when I was eight, because I wasn't like other girls. I wandered around, hoping to find a job. Instead, I found swordplay. So here I am, without a mother, but with a sword." Sliding it back into the sheath at her side, Fren looked at him again. "And you?"

"When I was seven, I watched my family die at the hands of merciless pirates. They slaughtered my father first, then my sister, but left my mother for last. They wanted me to watch her suffer before they killed me, inforcing their power in my head. Lucky for me, this crew on the ship to our left," he gestured the ship he had boarded from. "They came along just in time for me to survive. I would have rather died, but then I hadn't realized it. So, I've been training swordplay ever since for the past eight years hoping one day I'll find the men that killed my parents and show them the meaning of revenge." He turned to a pole and ascended about four feet, taking hold of a rope. "Need a hand over?" Once again he offered her his hand in aid.

"The business of revenge, eh?" She took his offered hand, and shook it. Ignoring its real purpose, she tucked her shift securely into her belt. Jumping up behind him, the woman grabbed the hard wood of the pole. She shinned up behind him, grasping at the rope.

Casson watched as he shook his hand. He started to tell her that he wasn't offering a handshake, but held his tounge. Of course she knew what it was for you dope he thought to himself. He waited for her as she took hold of the pole and moved into place behind him. "Ready?"
He didn't act like he was going to wait for an answer. He jumped from the post and they started to swing across the water tens of feet below. When he was about two feet above the deck, he let go and landed smoothly on the hardwood floor.

She watched him land purposely on the deck below, feet making a firm thump. At least he's fearless, she thought to herself. Releasing the comforting rope between her hands, Fren jumped as well. Feeling the air rush past, she closed her eyes tightly. The wooden deck hit her hard. She smacked and rolled, rising to shaky feet. Brushing auburn locks away from her face, the woman attempted what she thought was a nonchalant look. "Anymore slight thrills?"

"All that swordplay and you topple over while swinging on a rope? I had expected better." He smiled. He then turned to the double doors behind him and strode to them before halting to speak to Fren. "Meet Cpt. Kuplan."
He opened the doors to a plush red room. The walls were covered with old paintings from ship battles to portraits of famed captains. The room was dimly lit, the large oak warddrobe and oak desk slightly shimmering from the lights around. At the desk sat a bearded man, the grey hairs across his face curled with age. He sat sipping a glass of wine until he sat at the sight of the young lady. "Cpt.Kuplan, Fren. Fren, Cpt.Kuplan."
"Nice ta meet you, madam."

She curtsied graciously, head bowed. "Delighted to meet you, Captain." She turned back to Casson, grinning ironically. "Well, that's what you get when your mum holds you out a third story window." Glancing down at her sopping slip, Fren scowled. And all my dratted clothes are on shore, she thought.
