I feel sorry for the third class children cry It's so terrible that children lost their lives. I remember near the end of the movie, when the boats were coming back to save the people who had fell into the water, there was a little baby in the water. Ice cold and dead. I felt so sad.

There were thirteen couples traveling on the Titanic on their honeymoons, eight of them in first class.
Alfred Rush, who was traveling to America with Frank Goldsmith's family, turned 16 on the day of the sinking, and was proudly wearing a new pair of long trousers. (Boys under 16 wore short pants in 1912.)
Included with the cargo, was a canary belonging to a Mr. Meanwell. It cost him about 25 cents to take it across the Channel.
The youngest passenger on board was two-month-old Millvina Dean, who was traveling in thirdclass with her parents and one-year-old brother, Bertram.

yeah, it's so depressing, yeah, I remember the part with the little baby, I got shivers when I saw that (the bad kind of shivers). Yeah, and how stupid Cal only took that little girl on the life boat cuz he was being greedy and only wanted to save himself. Ugh, it makes me so mad that a guy like him survived, and a guy like Jack didn't make it. Men who survived it, were looked down upon because that meant that a woman or child died in their placce... I love how at the end, when the guy is going around collecting everyone's names, that Rose says Rose Dawson. heart

Oh yes, that was soo romantic! heart
I do agree, I think Cal should've died in Jack's place, and about the little girl, I think it was kind of nice of him to take her because she might've been separated from her family and she would've perished on the ship if it weren't for him. I do think Cal is a greedy jerk though and I would've liked to see him die. (I know, kind of mean but still! He deserves it!) It would have been nice if Rose and Jack got to get married and whatnot; but I think that that would ruin the story's magic. I mean, it was so good and memorable because it was so sad. It really got the message across how terrible the Titanic's sinking was.

i don't know if this was posted but lifeboat #1 i belive (could be wrong about witch lifeboat lol) left with only 12 people in it. another thing that was just learned earlier this year is that the titanic when it broke apart, broke bottom to top instead of top to bottom.

i just remembered one of the spookiest bits of info you'll ever hear. a few years before the sinking a book was written. this book was about a grand ship on its maidan trip with many wealthy folk on board. it set sail in april and after ignoring warnings, stuck an iceberg about mid april (the 14-15th) and sank, claiming many lives do to a lack of lifeboats. the name of the ship in the book was the titan. and i'm not making this up one bit. if i find the books title i'll post it for you

Actually, he wasn't based on that guy, there just happened to be someone on the real Titanic who shared his last name.
