Dreamwhisper "And here I am." Rachel gave the three other Student Council members seated around the ironwork table a half-smile. She sat down in the last unoccupied chair. 'Does this count as fashionably late?" "Fashionably late..." Adrian muttered, rubbing his temple frustratedly. "So fashionable you almost missed the party." Ugh. Girls and their ridiculous little euphamisms. His attention focused as the other members began discussion the mysterious letters. 'So, they all got a letter, then.' he thought privately. 'How interesting...'"I don't know what was implied by 'Revolutionizing the World"..." he replied, turning himself to watch his fellow Student Council members, "- but whatever it can be, it doesn't sound like something a few highschoolers can achieve."Eyeing them dismissively, he added, "Especially considering the type chosen for the job.""And what's more, I don't like this Rose Bride business. It wasn't explained very clearly, but it would seem we are all meant to fight for and "win" her as a means to bring this revolution. What a perverse idea," he hissed, his eyes narrowing. "However... we weren't given much of a choice, were we? This mysterious "End of the World" has some inside information about us, which leads me to believe that our election was carefully planned." Adrian realised he might have let a little too much slip. He was not about to reveal what had been in his letter, and he guessed the others' had been just as confidential; none of them seemed willing to discuss theirs either. Instead, he pretended to lose interest and carefully analyse his new rose seal ring. As much as he disliked the idea of this whole thing, he couldn't deny his curiousity about the affair. Working for someone who refused to reveal his identity, for one. And what was the deal with the so-called 'Rose Bride'? There was definately something fishy surrounding it, but the temptation offered in the letter had been too great for him to refuse.

Yamino Tenshi "I don't know what was implied by 'Revolutionizing the World"..." he replied, turning himself to watch his fellow Student Council members, "- but whatever it can be, it doesn't sound like something a few highschoolers can achieve. "Aye.." She says, agreeing with him. Her silvery eyes studied her fellow student council members behind black-rimmed glasses and loose strands of red hair. Now that she thought about it, each of them did have their reason why they seemed to stand out from other students. "Hmm...." she said aloud as she thought over it.

"Well, whoever is behind this, and whatever he wants...I'm sure he knows that we can't do much on so little information," Femke said, lazily picking a speck of lint from her uniform. "We probably shouldn't worry about it until we know more. He can't expect us to just 'revolutionize the world' or whatever without instruction.
All this talk of secrets was making her antsy. She gave each of them a suspicious side-ways glance before making herself relax again. Whatever this is about, I'm going to have to take precautions. Too cryptic for my tastes.

Anthy tilted her head, noting the boy's disgust at the concept of winning a girl with disgust. Or, perhaps, the idea of winning a girl.
Something Akio could use, in either case.
There was no reason to delay any longer. Anthy stepped deeped into the shadows and onto the balcony, just before the elevator.
'You will have that instruction,' she said clearly. "And knowledge of what the Power of Dios can give you."

Dreamwhisper 'You will have that instruction,' she said clearly. "And knowledge of what the Power of Dios can give you." She gives a glance to this young woman who had appeared, tilting her head to the side as she studies her. "I assume you are this...Rose Bride from our letters?" She asks, leaning back against the railing of the balcony.

"I am the Rose Bride," Anthy said. "I hold the Power of Dios within me. That power will allow you to revolutionize the world. To reshape it as you wish. To achieve any goal. To have the most hidden wish of your heart.
"You will duel to gain this power. Letters from End of the World, like the ones you have received with the rules of the Rose Signet, will tell you when to duel. The winner of the duel becomes the Victor and I, the Victor's Bride. When all the duels have been fought, the Champion will have the Power of Dios.
"A place for these duels have been prepared for you. Shall I take you there?"

Dreamwhisper "I am the Rose Bride," Anthy said. "A place for these duels have been prepared for you. Shall I take you there?" "Certainly! Lead the way, Anthy. I'm anxious to see what all this mysterious business is about." Femke smiled brightly. Something very strange is going on here. If there's some mysterious power, why give it to some random high school students? Someone is using us. For what, I don't know, but I know when they're using me. Oh, I'm on to you. I can see the fakeness in your smile. I won't be swindled. And I'll have to be careful of my fellow members. That Noir chick was giggling at me...I'm sure of it. And that guy...Jesus, he's going to stab us in the back the first chance gets.Famke rose from her chair, her posture quickly settling into a slouch. She shoved her hands into her pockets. "This should be an interesting experience." Duels. Femke was thankful for her membership in the Fencing Team. Whatever this twisted little game was, she'd be sure not to be screwed over. She made a note to herself to practice more often. Kill two birds with one stone. Her face settled into her characteristic smirk. To have the most hidden wish of your heart. To have the most hidden wish of your heart. Even if this wasn't a lie just to use them, it was certainly enticing. Which is why Anthy said it, I'm sure. No matter how much she wanted everything to right itself, she knew it had to be a lie. Femke knew things couldn't really change. Not really, anyway.

Nodding a bit to Anthy's offer, she leans up off the railing after Femke stood and brushes herself off. More than likely, she thought, the others are thinking the same thing I am. They were all being used. She wasn't sure by who, but they obviously were not picked out at random from a list of students. What was so significant about them was beyond her knowledge, but as she studied the others, she had a feeling their relationships amongst one another would have to be more competative than friendly.

Adrian's head lifted sharply as the stranger interrupted their little discussion.
"Speak of the devil..." he muttered under his breath. He was a little more than suspicious at the Rose Bride's conviniently well-timed entrance. How long had she been listening in on them, anyway? You could never tell when people were coming or going with that perfectly silenced elevator...
His icy glare penetrated the dark-skinned figure, straining to see a hint as to how she felt about this whole situation. How could she willingly allow herself to be used as a pawn in this game? And what did she mean by "Victor's Bride"? There was something desperately wrong with the whole idea. However, what if she spoke truthfully about this extraordinary power? 'To reshape the world as I wish...
Of what nature would the duels be? Surely not to the death, as were the traditional ones. No matter how psychotic this "End of the World" person was, Adrian found it hard to belive he would set students at each other's throats. Though if it came down to it... he was not entirely without skill in physical combat.
He had many questions to ask, but for now he decided it was best to remain silent. 'To find the answers, I will have to play along in their game. Very well...' He followed the others silently, carefully masking his uneasyness with his trademark stony expression.

"Follow me, please." Anthy turned and walked into the elevator, waiting for the Duelists to join her. From the Student Council Tower she led them to through the campus to the woods behind the school. She stopped in front of the Rose Gate and turned to them.
"Your rose seals allow you to enter the Rose Gate. Beyond it lies the dueling arena. For this very first time, you will all need to open it at once."

Rachel didn't speak on their little trek through Ohtori campus; she was too busy mulling over ideas and dismissing them almost at once.
Her life had its bumps and snags, but she wasn't desperate for change; the 'Power of Dios' didn't interest her. Why this opportunity was being offered to them did.
The making of a new secret society? Possibly. Yale had the Skull and Bones, after all. But why high school students? To form tighter bonds, maybe? SA new project for her files.
And why did the Rose Bride look so...
Attractive.
Rachel grimaced slightly. Yes, she was, but she was also familiar, in that annoying can't-put-a-finger-on-it way. She knew her fellow council members vaguely, and she couldn't shake the feeling she should know the Rose Bride, too.
The Rose Bride turned her head slightly as they rounded a corner, and Rachel's memory clicked.
The girl always watering the roses -- that's her! What was her name? Anthy Himiyana. No, Himemiya. She'd heard the junior high student called 'Ohtori's resident weirdo' before, but never knew why.
I don't think watering roses all the time qualifies, but this does, Rachel decided, watching Anthy stop in front of the Rose Gate. I'm surprised the student body hasn't turned out to gawk Her brows dipped in a frown. Come to think of it, she hadn't seen anyone on their way here. Very strange.
Her attention snapped back to Anthy, who was talking again. When the Rose Bride finished, Rachel looked at the other council members, then shrugged. "All right." She stepped up and put her hand on the Gate's handle.

Adrian paused, unhappy at the though of having to get sandwitched between the gaggle of girls as they all grasped the handle. He wondered briefly if this was some kind of stupid joke, and as soon as they all held onto the thing it would become electrified or something. He wouldn't put it past this odd-looking girl leading them. He couldn't stop agonizing over what she meant by becoming the Victor of the duels' Bride.
'Floozy.' he concluded, as he gingerly wrapped his slim fingers around the handle.

"My, what curious kittens we are." spoke he sliky voice of the figure in his tower. Thus far not one of them had seemed to voice a direct challenge to the nature and objective of his little test. Of course, with such an offer, they were naturally willing to at least give the duels a perusing. He chuckled softly to himself, focusing on one candidate in particular "I wonder how righteous you think yourself. Does my offer interest you because you wish to change the world for others, or is it really for yourself? A sanctuary from your past."
He fiddled with the contorls on his stargazer.....and waited for thier entrance to the arena.
"How long, my duelists, before the desire you hold consumes you? How long before my duels become your reason for life..."

Femke looked down at the handle. She had been to this place once before. Some acquaintances of hers thought that no one would catch them smoking pot in the forest. Everyone knew about it, but no one had been. When they arrived, the reason became obvious.
They could certainly smoke in the outskirts of it. But when trying to hide themselves in the forest's depths, they were stopped by this very gate. No one wanted to stay there for long. Something about the place seemed very frightening. Well, not frightening. That was what her acquaintances called it. It reminded Femke of the feeling she would get inside a church. Even if the priests said it was a place of only good, Femke couldn't believe it. It felt like a place in which fate was decided. Not good, not evil. Such a place is beyond mere moral contraints. It simply decides what is, and what will be.
They had left soon after that. One of them--already stoned--giggled madly as he tried pulling on the gate's handle. The others yelled at him to stop, upset by the atmosphere. She hadn't talked to them after that. She didn't think any of them did. On the other hand, Femke usually wasn't very good at keeping friends. Perhaps they just hadn't liked her.
She stared down at the handle, realizing that she would have access to this. Whatever it is. There's still something they want from me though. I won't let my guard down. I'm going to figure this all out. No one gets the best of me. Not again. Not ever. Femke furrowed her brows and gripped the handle. Let's do this.

She hesitates, thinking over this as her hand reaches forward. Should she place her hand on this handle? What would be behind it? She still knew little, as did the other duelists, and she didn't like it. She did not want to be played a fool once more. Taking a deep breathe, her fingers wrap around the handle with the others as her other hand clutches her handbag tightly.
