"I could Jump in. maybe to be backside and let you two walk in the front, but that can get messy, fast."
((Jump is the first word that isn't in monotone.))

Klein shakes his head. "Both entrances are covered by gunmen, far as we can tell."
After a moment's hesitation, he beckons all three of you over. "However, we did have a plan, of sorts. There's a sewer access to the building that we were going to risk sending some SWAT in, before the grenade shenanigans. At this point we probably think it's more dangerous then useful, though." He shows you blueprints of the building's design, including what looks like an access tunnel through the sewer.
The Chief pipes up. "You're welcome to give it a shot, if you want. So long as you think you can do it without getting any of the hostages pasted."

I can't afford to take many chances at this point. I've learned to give this new breed of criminals more credit than to do something as stupid as that.
*walks over to the blueprints and listens closely to the explanation*
Whoa, whoa... sewers? Now I haven't been in the NYC sewers before, but are they the stereotypical, half-flooded, odorous caverns that I've seen on TV?

*Shakes head.*
"Bet they have the sewer covered too."
*To the armored figure.*
"Jump?"

Both police officers raise an eyebrow and ask at the same time "File?"
They then turn towards Bolt. The chief says "You watch too much tv, kid." He turns to the cloaked man. "And you're right, they probably do have the sewers covered, but, well, we're about out of options and I don't know what other options..."
He stops, at the sound of a phone ringing. Klein picks up his cell phone, answers it, and then talks quietly for a few moments. ((Listen check if you want to pick up what he's saying.))

So do either of you have a way to protect innocent bystanders?

The chief shakes his head. "Uh, no. Only the hard copy here. We pulled it out of city hall, you know that stuff's public access, right?"
Klein comes back over after hanging up his phone, even in the poor streetlight his face is pale and sallow. "Ok...they've made a demand. They want you three to come to the front entrance and enter the bank. They said that if you don't in five minutes they'll start executing hostages."

*Back to Battalion.*
"Is it just you, or can you take others with you?"

"Heat only travels so far through materials, If we were in the sewers maybe. And Jumping things that are not organic tends to leave them... No longer in one piece." *turns to Bolt* "My shield is only personal, Unless I am in the line of fire. No." *Turns to the officer* "Straight to the point. They want to fight."

I guess we have no choice. Personally, I'm not in the mood to call out such a dire bluff.
