Hey I'm from Cork, I love LOVE sport..football, rugby, GAA, hockey, tennis, rowing, swimming, running, basketball I think that's it. Anyway I love them all and I play them all. I especially love, hurling, rugby and football, well to follow like.
Cork hurling oh I love it "Winning the All Ireland hurling final isn't everything to Corkonians it's the only thing" and it's pretty much true. We're obbsesed down here it's scary. Oh and Deirdre Flanagan, you're from Kilkenny but I suppose I'll try to be nice. lol lol
(Joe Deane..GET WELL SOON!!..rebel legend!!)
Munster and Irish rugby team..I love both, you can't really talk about one without talking about the other. Strings, ROG, Paul O Connel, love team all. All legends..(except I don't like Isacc Boss, give me strength)
The Irish football team..well eh they try. They can be really good, sometimes, well we've got an unatural keeper Shay Given, I love him lots!!

Ya I know, I'd keep writting but I've to go.
Lol! Alright, I suppose I can be lenient with you too, even though you're from Cork. lol Hurling is a great spectator sport.

Say, did you hear about the 2006 All Star team? There's 6 Kilkenny boys and 4 Cork boys. blaugh xp lol Bwahaha!

Teasing. biggrin

We should talk sports sometime. I don't follow too closely, but I follow.

Hi. My name is Jack. I am 18 and I am American, but my family has always celebrated our Irish roots. St Patrick's Day is always a big event. My hometown always has a parade to celebrate. I am a student in college and I enjoy reading Celtic and Irish folklore. Thanks for inviting me, Deirdre.

I'm Katara (well that's my nickname). I'm 20 years old. I live in the US in CT. Both my grandparents (on either side) are off the boat Irish. My family is from somewhere around Cork. I'm an Irish dancer and I do well in competition (I'd rather not go into it more cause i don't like to brag about stuff) and I love Black 47 (a somewhat irish rock band from NY). I played Rugby for about 3 years before i stepped off the field for fear of breaking my nose again. I've never been to Ireland but I really want to go there someday and cause I know when I step off the plane i will have that felling like i'm home.

It's nice to meet you all ^_^

Real name is Miriam. I'm 19 and in my second year of College.
I live in Texas but I spent my first year of college in Dublin!
My reasons for going was because I spent my Senior year realling digging in my Irish roots and learning all about Ireland.

Birth of the IRA is one of the most intresting things to me.
Anyways so I decided in my Senior year that I wanted to go to Dublin!
Which haha was intresting to say the least.
I fell in love, but saddly I really missed my family so I'm spending this year back in Texas.

(thinking of going back next year!)

My Mother and Father were both half Irish.
So does that make me Half Irish? (could never get fractions right haha.)

Lets see, I'm just your average 19 year old I suppose. I like to hang out with my friends, though haha majority of them are in mid 20's.

I'm very dedicated to my beliefs and ideals, however I am willing to
listen to yours and perhaps adapt them to my own! biggrin

Oooh greatest love in live is Music and studying Religion from an academic perspective.
biggrin

Hello, I'm James G. Oaken, or Oakie as most people I know call me. I was born and raised in Kilkenny, and I moved here to Dublin a few weeks ago. I'm still settling in in my flat, and still unemployed, but looking for a job at the nearest pub. My mother and father moved to a seperate flat a little ways away from here.

I am about 80 percent Irish, 10 percent Scottish, and 10 percent Nigerian/African. I know it's an odd mix, but me mum says that apparently I had an ancestor that got it on with a slave, which I think is ridiculous, but oh what the hell. Anything to make my drab, unexciting life a little more interesting.
