I never thought of that... The only solutions I came up with were sheilds, which got broken through and energy transferring, so I could mayeb lend her some enrgy, but that didn't work either...

The whole flaw wiht useing an shield is that a psy vamp is attracted to energy and feeds off of it, so if you have a big shield of energy up, they can just suck it up and feed from it, draining your energy. it's like trying to use water to ward off a fish... it just isn't practicle. It can work, if you have enough water and a small enough fish, but it won't always work, and is just a waste of energy. 3nodding

Here is a pod cast from the author of the 'Vampire Codex' she touches on quite a bit of good information if you don't actuley wish to read the book... I've read the book, my ex had it, and this is basicly an abridged version on the podcast. If you haave about an hour, it's a good listen.

I agree that vampirism is very real, especially psychic vampirism. I have a friend who was attacked by a psychic vampire a while ago, and then later there was another situation where a friend became a psychic vampire and fed off of a very negative situation that was happening in the group of friends we both belonged to. Whether or not she meant to do this I'll never know.

In the Vampire Codex, it says that people cannot be turned into a vampire, that they are born that way, and it lies dorment until they awaken. Either through a deep feeding on them, then they lack the energy and that part of them wakes to feed, or just in time eventuley it awakens by it's self. *shrugs* I don't know. I'm not a vampire, so I cannot say for sure LOL.

Mind if I add some information from the class my friend teaches? He's helping me get comfortable with myself about certain physical realities.

My First Homework Assignment, sorry for the grammatical errors:
1. Clinical vampire: One who likes having their blood drawn and their own blood can satisfy their urges.
2. Neo-vampire: Not a natural vampire, a student
3. Psi vamp: Someone who prefers life energy or just energy from others.
4. Beacon: Energy signature. kinda like a gaydar if you ask me... vampires finding others...
5. Sympathetic vampirism: person who's been fed on to much and to soon.. the donner gets vampiric like symptoms.
6. Puppy (Go into a blood bond as well) : a person who follws master around.... kinda like dracula and that bug eatter... also vampirc marriage...
7. a.)Inubus: 'demonic' spirit that ******** both men and women. male b.)Succubus: 'demonic' spirit that ******** both men and women. female
8. Otherkin: me (a person who's got a wonky soul or identifies with an animal soul or mythological creature)
9. Sanguinarian: someone who needs blood not sexually or w/e but needs blood to sustain life.
10. Fashion vampyre: wannabe vampire... kinda likea wannabe gangstas in Winlock and rural areas.
11. Latent Vampire: Already a vampire, occasionally needs a trigger.
12. Sin nomine: means "without name" in latin. has committed a great crime.
13. Astral vampire: one who is a vampire in their astral form.
Contrast:
1. A blood junkie and a blood fetishist: a blood junkie is a name for sanguinarian... blood fetishist is someone whos turned on by blood.
2. A fashion vampyre and a seeker: a fashion vampire just wants to be able to fit in... seekers want to learn about vampires, vampiric tradition before getting into it.
3. Haematomania and haematophilia: the first is a strong mental craving for blood... the second is an erotic thing for the sight taste and smell of blood.

*nods* If anything I'm more of a shape shifter type thing... I found myself being a psy vamp when I was with my ex... and if I'm around any Kin, then I find myself with phantom limbs and feeling like whatever they are.. It's odd.

I have a friend who's a psi vamp. He once drained me which pissed me off because he didn't ask. Actually he drained everyone in the store we worked in 5%. Granted this was 5% of what he needed and not 5% of what they could give. It took me a little bit but I realized what had happened. Later I basically yelled at him for doing it without yelling. He made it so he could not drain me but I did still hit him with an energy ball/psi-ball. some people would think that it would have just given him more of what he wanted but no, he was hit with this energy, he didn't feed off it. It basically gave him a few unwelcome symptoms simular to what he gave me. It taught him the good lesson of not feeding off those who don't want to be feed off of, especially those who can hit back harder. whee

Ok, I’ve been having issues with psychic vampires. Well me and a few friends.. The person is still unknown so we can not confront them about it. But it’s been going on for nearly a whole school year. What would be a smart thing to do? Because like you said shields don’t work at all, ours only last about a week or so then they shatter. What should we do?

Here's a trick that I've recently run across... Get a piece of jewlrey (crystal or hematite works best I think) or a piece of the stone it's self if you don't want to wear jewlrey, and start collecting all your negitive energy into it... then when they try to feed from you, push the negitive energy to them, and it will make them feel sick, and they PROBABLY won't try to feed off of you anymore. *nods* I would give that a try to see if it works for you. ^_^

i'm a sanguine/psyvamp myself. i dislike the term 'vampire', and believe it is erroneously attributed to the modern energyfeeding community. i feed energy wise without warning, but never intentionally take that much without provocation or permission. i will attack in that way, essentially stealing momentarilty the strength of an opponent and augmenting my own with it(makes for a nice throw too), and have only fed in large amounts from one person on a couple of occasions. several times with my girlfriend, once with a friend who accidentally opened himself to me to the point where i drained so much he couldn't walk, and another time at a party while using a Ouija board. most of those of us in 'houses' or 'courts' or whatever in the modern vampyre community have a strict policy against feeding on energy without permission, but i myself don't care much. i'll take little morsels here and there that mundanes don't need. it helps keep me alert all day to do so. mostly though, i jsut feed off of the ambient energies around me, from the passing of people to the presence of spirits to the essence of the elements to astral entities willing to allow me to feed from them...and some not so willing. Shinys Here's a trick that I've recently run across... ^_^ that wont work if they have any strength. i've had some bad energy before. i just siphon it out and feed more. i have a tendency to 'probe' my feeds anyways. i identify without much concious thought what's good and bad. jewelery wont help you.
