Mei rubbed the top of Ana's head, messing up her hair. "You act more like a kid than I do." She walks past Ana and into the room where the Fire was.
((I don't really know how tending the fire works, so can someone else post?))

Zuni stood before the fire, her hands before her palms up as she closed her eyes. Focusing on the fire energy before her and inside of her, she made a bright flame in both hands and turned her hands over and out, turning them inward at the same time so that her fingertips faced eachother and pushed the fire from her hands into the fire.

Mei followed Zuni's movements exactly, counting and concentrating on her breaths. The flame rose slightly higher with the kind of roar you'd expect from a fire. It flickered over their heads and shined brightly. Mei smiled at Zuni, wiping a bead of sweat off her forehead.
"That was fun... just like the other zillion times we've done it." she said, playfully sarcastic. She looked at Zuni with pleading eyes to leave and do something fun.

She nodded and smiled lightly. Zuni had spent most of her time here and she had become content with the mundane life and the calm, but the younger and newer members were still not use to it. Chuckling light she walked away from the fire and into the garden room.

Ana followed Zuni. She could never understand how Zuni like this calm so much. Ana's father had been an admiral before his death, and all she had ever known was war. To come to this peaceful place where the war did not exist....it was a big transition ((sp???)) for anyone.

Sitting on a bench in the garden she looked to Ana and smiled.
"Our world is a small world. We tend the fire, we train, eat, and sleep. And that's it. But it's not as bad as it seems. There's a reason for all of this. The calmness of this place. It's to help us control our own fire. When I came here, I had killed hundreds and had a temper that would lash out at anyone. But I've spet years here, and it's taught me how to control myself."

Ana was quiet for a moment. "I can't stand calm." she said. "I've always been that way. I love action. Maybe if I went home for awhile....I could see my mom and brother and sister, and Reizo....." she blushed at his name.

Mei sat at her usually spot ontop of the temple. She peered down boredly at Zuni and Ana making conversation below. She stood at the center of the roof and moved her arms around in curls and circles, breathing at regular intervals.
She opened her eyes suddenly and shot a blast of Black-Fire that fizzled in a moment. she cursed at herself, thinking how she still couldn't bend lately. She sighed and headed downstairs to the others.

Ana saw Mei coming and waved. "Hey! I didn't forget that kid comment from earlier!"

Mei began to run faster towards Ana. She jumped on her shoulders, pushing her down slightly but not enough so that Ana would fall. She jumped over her head and landed on her feet, smiling playfully. Mei stuck out her tongue as she tried to start a game of fire-tag, swinging a harmless whip of fire at Ana.
((I just made it up now. You throw fire. If it reaches them, regardless of whether they block, they're it. Although, hurting them purposely is against the rules))

Ana joined the game happily. She ran after Mei and launched a fire whip, which missed. She tried again, and hit Mei gently, so she wouldn't be burned or scorch her clothes.

Mei shot out her whip that disappeared mid-distance from hitting Ana back. She stared at her fingers oddly and looked up at Ana strangely. "Has this sort of thing been happening to you too? Has your firebending been off?" she asked, putting a stop to their game.

"Not really....I've been fine." She looked at Mei worridly. "Are you feeling ok? Do you think you're sick?"

"I'm fine." Mei shook her head slightly, thinking of her mother. She began to think of everything she said to her about her family, but Mei's head ached terribly before she got very far back. Mei wavered a bit as if she was going to fall and caught herself on the wall.
