I play trombone heart
It sounds like you guys are much more advanced than i am, though.
I wish i could learn how to play another instrument, or have the ears of a writer.

Drego642 Hmm, I'm writing it into my MIDI software right now, sounds good. do you have a program on your computer for composing, or do you just write it down? i prefer to just write it down. that way i can play it on my baritone as i write to see if it actually sounds good. im not all that good with computers anyway, id probably end up erasing everything on accident or something.

I wish i could learn how to play another instrument, or have the ears of a writer. me to to tell you the truth, i dont really have the ears of a writer. i have the brain of a musician. i have an 80% hearing loss in my right ear because of a tumor in my head. ive just heard enough of other people's music to know what sounds good and what doesnt. i do listen to my music that i write, but my bd tells me whether or not its good enough for class and i trust him. he's kinda like my spare set of ears. and as for learning to play another instrument, its not too hard. all of the instruments im learning have the same amount of valves so i just have to learn to adjust the notes i already know to fit the instrument im learning and ive already got a grasp on the instrument. except the trombone, and i must admit learning the slide postitions was difficult.

It's really simple and works well... too bad it doesn't have a baritone track... and you can only have 16 instruments at a time. but all in all it's a good program.

It's really simple and works well... too bad it doesn't have a baritone track... and you can only have 16 instruments at a time. but all in all it's a good program. i also write for all the instruments, i just do them all by hand, in other words, it takes me alot longer to write it but its just how ive always done it. my bd uses anvil too, i dont really like it, cuz like you said, it only take 16 instruments at a time. and the only reason id ever use a computer program to write is if the song had an impossibly large number of parts.

Drego642 Wow. Tuba too. I tried to play it once... took alot more air than I thought. and people say the tuba is so easy we got it just as hard as yall lol
